I took a cab afterwards to my parent's place where I spent the night. I was just about to sleep when my phone suddenly began to ring.. I exclaimed, concerned as he replied, clarifying me. "He's not actually dead. It was a prank to get me to come home," he explained. I laughed in relief as he joined me however, we fell silent afterwards for some minutes before it started to feel awkward. "Well, I guess I'll see you tomorrow then, I'm spending the night at my parent's," I said, trying to break the tension. "Yeah... okay, I'll see you," he replied. I didn't realize that I'll spend more hours than I anticipated at my foster parents and as I got up from bed, seeing how bright my room was with the sunlight streaming in, I couldn't help but jump up from my bed and dashed out.
