Two people loved each other. No, let me rephrase it. Two people never loved each other. They hated. But fate played the game and they were forced to get married to each other. Will this marriage full of hate ever amount to real love.

Endless Love Chapter 1 Prologue and I'll End it Today

"Why are you here after so many years??" he asked. I could sense anger.

"I'm here.. And I'll stay here.. Its not your hotel mister" I retorted

He came near me and grabbed my waist. I tried moving back but his strong arms were not allowing me to.

"Please- please leave me," I said helplessly.

"Huh, so now you're scared?" he asked shamelessly.

"Please let me go!"

"Go..but you'll regret what you did Ms. Marie Smith"

"What-whatever.."

He left me and I ran away.

I ran away. He followed me. I couldn't reach the hotel room's door, and he locked the door.

"What's your problem, Mr. Adrien? Did I even say anything???"

"You'll regret what you did three years ago," he said.

He came to me. I started going back. He moved forward. I went back and now I was between the wall and him.

"Now where will you go?"

"You! Leave me!"

"And what If I don't!"

"....." I didn't have an answer. He's so strong. I'm nothing.

"Will you go to your boyfriend?"

"What boyfriend?"

"Don't act like that"

"I don't have anyone, Adrien. Please leave me"

"You know I love you"

"But I don't, Adrien. If you love me then why are you forcing your love on me!"

"I never forced you nor will I ever.."

"Just look at what you're doing right now"

He got away immediately as if he never wanted to force me.

"I'm sorry but I can't take it, Marie," he said in a low tone.

"What can you not take?"

"Loving you and being hated. Loving you and being betrayed" he said and started crying. For the first time, I saw him weak.

"I didn't betray you, Adrien, you did"

"I don't think this is the right time to talk" he said and went away.

I don't know what he's thinking. He betrayed me all these years and now he came and told me he loves me? Even he said that I betrayed him? Is he serious? I should be the one crying. I have no one in this world.

Why did he come so suddenly after complete three years? Did he know... How have I cut these years? Without him, without anyone? And now... He's here forcing his love on me. After what he did... I don't love him anymore. I hate him. I can't love anyone. My belief in love has totally vanished. And it'll never return. Never.

***************

I slept. I waited for the next day. Fortunately, there were no nightmares. Otherwise, every night was haunted. With his thoughts, with my parent's thoughts...

I went out. I'll tell you about me. After his betrayal, I became weak, and eventually, I became strong. I worked hard and became a businesswoman. My business is small, but it's what keeps me busy and happy, away from sad thoughts. I reached my office. I'm the CEO. This is a small company. But, everyone respects me and everyone is hard working.

"Mam, there is someone who wants to meet you," said Maya, my PA.

"Get them in," I said.

He came inside.

Adrien. Why does he not go away?? What is he doing here!

"Miss CEO, I have an important issue to talk about," he said in a formal voice.

"What are you doing here Adrien," I asked, quite angry and annoyed by being followed by him.

"Why did you did that, Marie, why?"

"We're at the office"

"Do you want me to come to your hotel?"

"I don't know, Adrien. Just go away. I don't want to see you"

"Answer me," he said in a low voice. I sensed that this was the calmness before the thunder.

"Adrien, this is not an appropriate place".

"I don't give a fuck about the appropriate place I just want to know why you did that to me!" he shouted. Everyone in the company heard it. We're not so rich to buy soundproof doors.

"Are you here to insult me, Adrien??"

"Don't take it that way"

"Just shut up," I shouted.

"Maya!" I called Maya.

"Yes mam?" she came inside and was quite scared by all that shouting and that harsh voice of him.

"Take him out"

She looked at him. I noticed something. She was shivering. Shivering from fear. He got up.

"You don't need to do that," he said calmly to me and Maya at the same time. He went out.

Why is he always like this? This can't go on. I have to solve this. Today.

I went out of the office. I told my PA to manage some work and also to inform me of anything important.

I went to my hotel room. I searched through my contacts. There he was. I called him, fearlessly.

"Why did you call me," he asked

"Come to my hotel. I want to talk to you" I said and cut the call.

I waited for him. Somewhere in my heart, I feared. I don't know why, but I'm afraid when he's near me. When we're alone. Oh god. Why did I call him? I'm stupid.

He came in five minutes. I opened the door.

"What is it, that you want to talk about"

"Don't follow me everywhere I go. Forget me. Please"

The cold boss of The Brown Association has suddenly turned warm for someone. That someone is none other than his own personal assistant. He slowly fell for her so deep that he was ready to do anything to get her, and if not, then he will be broken. After many heartbreaks, he finally gave up on her. She reciprocated the feelings, but only for a few days. What was that, anyway? Continued working, he turned completely cold-even more than he was before-to everyone, including her. Knowing what has caused him to return to his older self with an, even more, worse condition, she decided to make up for it. But it was too late. He had someone who'd love him back, and not leave him when he needed her the most. Misunderstandings are a part of their, or pretty much, any, love story. They were sad and broken, still, they were finding their happiness through walking over the shattered pieces of their heart. She was not the same either. And then it happened. The truth. She did everything she could to save him. Maybe that was the thing. The thing he wanted because she was there this time when he needed her. But what proves that she will not leave him now? The answer could be trust, but that was long gone between them. Frustrated by him not being able to trust her, she decided to do the thing he had never thought. Hell, no one ever thought of it. He had to face the consequences. And, he did.

For two years, I was the invisible force behind tech billionaire Kieran Douglas, convinced that our "private" romance was his way of protecting us from the tabloid spotlight. I managed his mergers, warmed his bed, and waited for a future that didn't exist. The illusion shattered at 6:00 AM when a Page Six alert debuted Kieran’s "real" romance with socialite Aspen Schneider. Before I could even process the betrayal, Kieran sent me a cold, professional text: "Order flowers for Aspen. Pink peonies. Her favorite." When I tried to walk away, my own mother called me a disgrace and threatened to lock my inheritance forever unless I married a sixty-year-old businessman to save her failing estate. At a high-society gala that same night, Aspen intentionally crushed my burned hand in front of the cameras, while Kieran stood by and dismissed me as a "mediocre assistant" who had overstayed her welcome. I stood in the cold New York rain, drenched in champagne and humiliation, realizing that every sacrifice I made for Kieran was a joke. I was a ghost in a penthouse that was never mine, discarded the moment his "soulmate" returned. To the world, I was just a placeholder whose time had run out. But Kieran forgot one thing: my father’s multi-million dollar trust fund unlocks the moment I legally marry. I didn't need love; I needed a signature and a shield. I walked into a discreet law firm and signed a marriage contract with a man I believed was the city’s most notorious, scandal-ridden playboy. I thought I was marrying a degenerate "beard" to buy my freedom and secure my revenge. I didn't realize the man who signed that paper wasn't a playboy at all, but Gaston Collins—the most powerful and dangerous man on Wall Street—and he had no intention of letting our fake marriage stay fake.

Six years ago, I was a naive girl sold by my father to the powerful Sanders estate, only to be tossed onto the streets after a brutal assault they labeled "marital infidelity." I fled the country pregnant and broken, hiding from the shadow of a husband I had never even met. Now, I’ve returned to New York with my triplets to sign the final divorce papers and disappear forever. But Archibald Sanders—the man I was told was a crippled recluse—intercepted us with the cold precision of a predator. He didn't see the woman his family destroyed; he saw a gold-digger who had shamed his name. His security team hunted us to a grimy motel, using tactical force to snatch my children away and drag me to his glass-walled empire. In his office, he loomed over me, demanding a DNA test and threatening to throw me in prison while my babies were lost to the foster system. He was convinced I’d cheated, yet he stared at my sons with a haunting confusion, unable to ignore the stormy blue eyes that were a perfect mirror of his own. I stood there, paralyzed by his scent—the sharp tang of rain and expensive leather that triggered the icy dread of my worst nightmares. How could he accuse me of betrayal when he felt exactly like the monster who had shattered my life in that dark hotel room? "I'll sign anything," I sobbed, "just give me my kids." But the game changed when my five-year-old son hacked the tower’s security, holding the skyscraper hostage to save me. In the chaos, a fragile, silent boy—Archibald’s secret son—wandered into the room and reached for me as if I were his missing soul. Archibald’s face turned to stone as he tore up the agreement and locked the doors. "Until I find out why my son is looking at you like that," he growled, "you aren't going anywhere."

The heavy iron gates of the Wilderness Correction Camp groaned as they released me after three years of state-sponsored hell. I stood on the dirt road, clutching a plastic bag that held my entire life, waiting for the family that claimed they sent me there for "rehab." My brother, Brady, picked me up in a luxury SUV only to throw me out onto a deserted highway in the middle of a brewing storm. He told me I was a "public relations nightmare" and that the rain might finally wash the "stink" of the camp off me. He drove away, leaving me to limp miles through the mud on a snapped ankle. When I finally dragged myself to our family estate, my mother didn't offer a hug; she gasped in horror because my muddy clothes were ruining her Italian marble. They didn't give me my old room back. Instead, they banished me to a moldy gardener’s shack and hired a "babysitter" to make sure I didn't embarrass them further. My sister, Kaleigh, stood there in white cashmere, pretending to cry while clinging to her fiancé, Ambrose—the man who had once been mine. They all treated me like a volatile junkie, refusing to acknowledge that Kaleigh was the one who planted the drugs in my bag three years ago. They wanted to believe I was broken so they wouldn't have to feel guilty about the "wellness retreat" that was actually a torture chamber. I sat in the dark of that shed, feeling the cooling gel on the cigarette burns that covered my arms, and realized they had made a fatal mistake. They thought they had erased me, but I had returned with a roadmap of scars and a hidden satellite phone. At dinner, I didn't beg for their love. I simply rolled up my sleeves and showed them the price of their silence. As the wine spilled and the lies crumbled, I sent a single text to the only person I trusted: "I'm in. Let them simmer." The hunt was finally on.

I stood at my mother’s open grave in the freezing rain, my heels sinking into the mud. The space beside me was empty. My husband, Hilliard Holloway, had promised to cherish me in bad times, but apparently, burying my mother didn't fit into his busy schedule. While the priest’s voice droned on, a news alert lit up my phone. It was a livestream of the Metropolitan Charity Gala. There was Hilliard, looking impeccable in a custom tuxedo, with his ex-girlfriend Charla English draped over his arm. The headline read: "Holloway & English: A Power Couple Reunited?" When he finally returned to our penthouse at 2 AM, he didn't come alone—he brought Charla with him. He claimed she’d had a "medical emergency" at the gala and couldn't be left alone. I found a Tiffany diamond necklace on our coffee table meant for her birthday, and a smudge of her signature red lipstick on his collar. When I confronted him, he simply told me to stop being "hysterical" and "acting like a child." He had no idea I was seven months pregnant with his child. He thought so little of my grief that he didn't even bother to craft a convincing lie, laughing with his mistress in our home while I sat in the dark with a shattered heart and a secret life growing inside me. "He doesn't deserve us," I whispered to the darkness. I didn't scream or beg. I simply left a folder on his desk containing signed divorce papers and a forged medical report for a terminated pregnancy. I disappeared into the night, letting him believe he had successfully killed his own legacy through his neglect. Five years later, Hilliard walked into "The Vault," the city's most exclusive underground auction, looking for a broker to manage his estate. He didn't recognize me behind my Venetian mask, but he couldn't ignore the neon pink graffiti on his armored Maybach that read "DEADBEAT." He had no clue that the three brilliant triplets currently hacking his security system were the very children he thought had been erased years ago. This time, I wasn't just a wife in the way; I was the one holding all the cards.
