Daddy don't hurt me Chapter 1 1 Losing everything

Nova

My heart is raising when I wake up. I heard something. I'm not sure what it was, it sounded like my door was opened, but when I look up, my door is still closed. Did I imagine it? I lay still, frozen in bed. Sweating of fear. Trying to get my heartbeat under control I tell myself: there is nothing going on. Just breath. Everything is fine. Then I hear something downstairs. Where my parents still awake? I look at my phone. It's 3 am. Why would they be awake at this point of night?

I close my eyes again. Breath in, breath out. Breath in, breath out. Then I hold my breath for a second. It helps sometimes. But when I do, I can still hear breathing. That is not me breathing. I knew it. I jump up, sitting on my bed I look around. There is someone in my room. I heard someone breathing. I can't see anyone. I grab my phone and turn on my flashlight. I shine in every corner, looking for the person I that I couldn't see. I shine at my chair, my desk, my closet door, my bathroom door. Nothing.

Did I imagine it? Was I going crazy? I didn't drink that much last night. My friends Claudia and Belle kept making shots, but I only took three. It was my eighteenth birthday party. I know what alcohol does to me. I wanted to remember my party, not getting drunk and forget everything. I've been there, done that. Not tonight. Tonight I got to dance with Dane. He didn't kiss me, like I hoped he would, but I know he will next time we will get together. I really wanted him to be my first boyfriend.

I slowly get control of my heartbeat and breathing. Thinking of Dane made me relaxed. I turn off my flashlight and lay down again. God, I am going crazy. I close my eyes and try to sleep again.

'Don't scream.'

I open my mouth to scream, but my sound is being muted by a large hand pressed on my mouth.

'I said don't scream, didn't I?' a man whispered in my ear.

My body is frozen again. I'm too scared to move. I can't see his face, because he is wearing a black mask. I whimper in fear. Why is this man here in my room?

'You are coming with me downstairs, Nova.' he whispers again. 'You are not going to scream. I don't think you want to wake up your little sister, otherwise I have to hurt her.' His hand moves from my mouth to my neck. He holds it tight but doesn't squeeze. 'Stand up.'

I do what he says. I get of my bed. His hand is still on my neck. I'm so sure he will squeeze it when I disobey him. He knew my name. Who the f is this guy? 'What do you want from me?' I whisper.

'For you to come downstairs.' He pushes me to the door, down the hall, downstairs and into the living room. I just let him take me. I don't want him to hurt my sister.

'Aaah!' I scream at the sight of my parents tied to a chair, heavily beaten by the looks of it. Before I know it, my knees hit the floor, when the person behind me pushes me. His hand is on my mouth again, pressing my head against his stomach with force.

'I told you not to scream. Now I have to hurt you.'

'No!' my mother screams. A man that I didn't see before hit her so hard in the face. Now she doesn't scream anymore but spit out a little bit of blood on the floor.

When I look with my eyes through the living room, I see five men with masks on. They have guns and one has a baseball bet.

'You are a coward, Brad. Why do you hide behind a mask? Why do you all hide behind those masks?' my mother asked.

Wait, did she call a man Brad? Did she know who the men were?

The man behind me takes off his masks. I look up. It's a man with black hair like mine. He smiles at me. I can see a golden tooth in his mouth. The man has dark angry eyes, he scares me to the bones, so I look away from him.

'Long time no see, Emma.' the man said. Emma, that is my mom.

'Brad.' Mother spits back at him. Yes, she knew the man.

'I see you made a good life here. With him.' Brad sounded disgusted by the idea of it. The idea of living with my father. 'You gave it all up to be a stupid receptionist of the major. You could of have so much more, Emma. Or should I call you Emmelina?' Only my family knew my mother as Emmelina. This man knows my mother better than I thought.

Mom shakes her head. 'Shut up, you have no right to call me that.'

'Lay on your stomach, Nova.' Brad whispers in my ear. His hand trails from my mouth to my neck, my collarbone, to my left breast. I can feel his warm breath on my skin, his lips against my ear. A shiver down my spine, gives me the fight I need to get free from him.

'No.' I try to stand up, to get away from the man behind me, but with no use. His hand simply pushes me back on my knees. He is so much stronger than me. He holds my neck with both hands now, softly squeezing and making me whimper in fear again. The fight within me is gone. I'm weak. I'm so fucking weak.

'Brad, stop. She doesn't even know who you are, don't hurt her. Please, Brad.' I never heard my mom beg before. She is always so strong. A leader. She has the pants on in this household. That is probably why my father hadn't said a word. He may be the major of this town, but it's my mother who rules over him at home.

'Ah, I see. So, you have been pretending I didn't exist all this time, didn't you Emma? Well, let me tell you Nova. This man isn't your father.' He points to my father. He lowers his head. He doesn't even look at me. 'I am your father, not that imposter. Look at him, you don't even look like that man. You are mine and now I just want to have some fun with my daughter.' He starts to laugh and the men in masks laugh with him.

'Leave her alone!' mom begs him again. 'Please Brad, leave her alone. You may be her father, but you aren't her dad.'

'She doesn't mean anything to me, Emma.' He squeezes his hand tight around my neck. I can't breathe. But then he let go and his lips are back on my ear again. 'I said lay on your stomach. Now!' Brad pushes me down. I fall hard on the ground, almost hitting my head in the process. I caught myself with my hands, but they were pulled away and pushed on my back. Then one of the men in mask begins to tie them together. I wrestle to stay free. Brad kicks me hard on my back. I hear a loud crack when his shoe hit my spine. I can't help it and start to cry. The masked man holds me down, while Brad removes my pants and underwear in one go.

'No!' I scream. 'Stop. Please, don't do this.' I try to get away, so I start to kick and wrestle.

'Lay still, stupid girl.' Brad grips my neck again. 'I won't hesitate by shooting your whore of a mother.'

When I look up, I see one of the masked men holding a gun to my mother's head. 'No.' I whimper. 'Please, don't shoot her.'

'Then lay still and spread your legs.'

'Honey, don't be scared. Just close your eyes and breath. Think of something fun.' mom tries to calm me down. How could she even say that? The man that claims to be my father is about to rape me in the living room.

'Yes honey, try think of something fun.' Brad says sarcastic. I could hear him zip his pants open and dropping them on the ground.

I close my eyes. This is really going to happen. Brad widen my legs even further with his knees when he takes his place between them. His fingers are touching my folds. I want to scream, but I don't. I don't want them to shoot my mother. When I feel the tip of his member in front of my vagina, I feel sick. I can't do this. I never had a boyfriend. I hadn't even have my first kiss. Now this man is going to take my virginity. In one trust he enters. I scream out loud. His penis is so big and it hurts so much. I never felt pain like this in my life. His hand is pressed on my mouth again while he starts to move in and out. I scream in his hands when he trusts are getting faster. He fucks me hard and with no passion. I try to think of something fun, like my mother told me, but all I could think of was the pain. The pain I feel between my legs is killing me. It feels like I've been ripped in two with every trust he makes. He goes on and on, what feels like hours instead of minutes, until he fills me up with his cum. I cry. I cry of shame, pain and fear. I can't move my body, I can't scream, I can't talk anymore. I have no fight left in me.

'Now it's my turn.' the man that tied my hands said.

I can't remember much after that. They all took their turns, all six of them came inside me. I couldn't move, I was frozen the whole time. I couldn't scream, they pressed their hands on my mouth every time even if I wanted to scream. I am no longer me. My body feels numb, broken and sore. The last thing I remember, before passing out, is Brad telling to put me in the camper. I was dragged on my feet by two men. I could hear my mom screaming. She was silent this whole time.

'Nova, honey, I love you. Don't forget that.' mom whispers. Her eyes are red from crying.

'I love you, Nova.' dad said. I can see he has been crying too.

'I love you too mom and dad.' I whisper back to them.

The sound of a gun shooting, makes me scream again. This time they let me. My eyes widen with shock. Then the gun goes again. I look over to my mom and dad. One second ago they told me they loved me, now they were sitting there, lifeless with a bullet in their heads. My legs give out, but the hands were holding me tight and don't let me fall. I don't feel pain, I don't feel anything. Then everything goes black.

I stood at my mother’s open grave in the freezing rain, my heels sinking into the mud. The space beside me was empty. My husband, Hilliard Holloway, had promised to cherish me in bad times, but apparently, burying my mother didn't fit into his busy schedule. While the priest’s voice droned on, a news alert lit up my phone. It was a livestream of the Metropolitan Charity Gala. There was Hilliard, looking impeccable in a custom tuxedo, with his ex-girlfriend Charla English draped over his arm. The headline read: "Holloway & English: A Power Couple Reunited?" When he finally returned to our penthouse at 2 AM, he didn't come alone—he brought Charla with him. He claimed she’d had a "medical emergency" at the gala and couldn't be left alone. I found a Tiffany diamond necklace on our coffee table meant for her birthday, and a smudge of her signature red lipstick on his collar. When I confronted him, he simply told me to stop being "hysterical" and "acting like a child." He had no idea I was seven months pregnant with his child. He thought so little of my grief that he didn't even bother to craft a convincing lie, laughing with his mistress in our home while I sat in the dark with a shattered heart and a secret life growing inside me. "He doesn't deserve us," I whispered to the darkness. I didn't scream or beg. I simply left a folder on his desk containing signed divorce papers and a forged medical report for a terminated pregnancy. I disappeared into the night, letting him believe he had successfully killed his own legacy through his neglect. Five years later, Hilliard walked into "The Vault," the city's most exclusive underground auction, looking for a broker to manage his estate. He didn't recognize me behind my Venetian mask, but he couldn't ignore the neon pink graffiti on his armored Maybach that read "DEADBEAT." He had no clue that the three brilliant triplets currently hacking his security system were the very children he thought had been erased years ago. This time, I wasn't just a wife in the way; I was the one holding all the cards.

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.
