SUBMISSIVE TO HIM - He's my boss Chapter 1 Agreeing to the job

"I Agree! " As Lisa said those words, tears streamed down her face.

Growing up she had always fought for the right thing. She had always stood for honesty. Little did she know that her life was gonna change, it was gonna change because she needed money.

"You made the right choice Lisa, I will speak to the master" The girl whom she just met few hours ago, told her.

Few hours ago, Lisa's mother had a cardiac arrest, and the hospital requested for a huge amount of money. Since they had nothing, Lisa started looking for where to borrow from, she ran to meet her 'Rich girlfriend' who took her to a lady, and that lady is...Gabriella.

"Ma'am Gabriella, please do. I really need the money, please" Lisa pleaded with the lady.

"That's okay.... I'll tell you what, you can start work today and also get paid today " Gabriella informed and Lisa jumped up in excitement.

"Re..Really, thank you so much" Faking happiness, but deep down she was sad.

She was sad because the job was a rough one. Her dream was to become a cop, but now she was gonna become the opposite...... A thief, a kidnapper.

"I hope you aren't having a second thought. Listen Lisa, once you join this game it's hard to step out... It isn't what you can easily quit. Rethink now, else don't blame me later" Gabriella warned.

"If anyone should be blamed, then it is him..."She took in a deep breath." That man, my father" She stated with anger and hate in her voice.

"Pack your things, I will drive you there".

It was a silent drive to a street unknown to Lisa. It was like a forest, they passed through many bushes. As long as the street , no house was built in it - except maybe the one Gabriella was taking Lisa to.

The car came to an halt, not only the car, but Lisa's thinking also.

They came down from the car and walked to the big gate in front of them.

Some men where standing outside the gate, they did a scan check on Lisa, that to know if she was with an exhibit.

The gate was opened for them and they walked in.

"Drive the car in" It was an order from Gabriella to one of the men outside.

Lisa wondered why those huge looking terrified men would obey Gabriella. Since it wasn't her place to talk much, she just kept quiet and followed Gabriella like an hand maid.

They got into a big house and Lisa was told to wait in the sitting room.

Lisa stared at the sitting room, it was beautiful. She was starting get cold, probably because of the air condition.

She wrapped her hands around herself, things from the past came flashing in her head.

*******

NINE YEARS AGO

"Anthony please don't leave" Aria pleaded with her husband, holding his right leg - she was kneeling on the floor.

"I love her, okay. You are making this hard for us and our children, let's have an annulment. Since you don't want that, am gonna leave with my children, you are gonna stay here alone!.... Fiona is gonna take care of this children like her own, you don't have to worry about them" Anthony said, with no emotions on his face.

"Daddy please don't go" Ten years old Lisa cried, she joined her mother in pleading.

"Lisa you are coming with" Anthony informed. He took Lisa's hand, and also held the other girl's hand.

"No!" Lisa screamed as she turned back to look at her mum. "I won't leave my mother, alone" With the little strength she had, she freed her hand from her father's grip and ran to meet her mum.

"Becca, come here" She gestured her little sister, who was seven years old then.

"I wanna go with daddy, you come here" Little Becca who wasn't that cleared about what the issues was, said.

Right from the beginning Lisa was closer to her mum, while Becca to her dad. They never thought a day would come when they will chose who they wants to stay with.

"You've chosen your mother. Know this, you've also chosen to suffer. Not a single dime, will I send for you" He stated, and with that, Anthony left with Becca.

Aria didn't say a word, she just continued crying.

"You can't do this to us, we are gonna sue you. You can't abandon us!!" Lisa screamed. "Am gonna become a cop, and in the future am gonna arrest ungrateful men like you , am gonna make my mum proud, you'll come begging us and it will be too late then" Lisa yelled to her dad, as he ignited the car engine.

BACK TO PRESENT

She wiped her tears with her palm. "I didn't chose to do this, I just didn't" She cried, forgetting that she would be meeting the boss soon.

"I promised you mum, I told you I was gonna be a cop, that I would fight for what is right. It isn't my fault, I haven't finished my studies, how can I even train to be a cop... I tried finding a legal work, but the pay for even two months won't be enough for your treatment, and I don't even have a month. I am sorry for breaking the promise I made to you mum, am sorry".

Gabriella walked into the big room, she searched for the boss but couldn't find him.

"Where's he?" She asked her self.

Suddenly the door to the bathroom opened, and there he was, looking.....Handsome like always.

His black hair was dripping wet. He had features that could make one go crazy.

His curved eyebrows furrowed as he saw Gabriella.

His blue small eyes staring at that of Gabriella.

Gabriella quickly took her gaze down, in order not to make an eye contact with him.

"She's here" Gabriella informed. Her gaze was still fixed on the floor. "Boss" She quickly added.

He didn't speak, he just signaled her to bring the girl to his room.

The heavy iron gates of the Wilderness Correction Camp groaned as they released me after three years of state-sponsored hell. I stood on the dirt road, clutching a plastic bag that held my entire life, waiting for the family that claimed they sent me there for "rehab." My brother, Brady, picked me up in a luxury SUV only to throw me out onto a deserted highway in the middle of a brewing storm. He told me I was a "public relations nightmare" and that the rain might finally wash the "stink" of the camp off me. He drove away, leaving me to limp miles through the mud on a snapped ankle. When I finally dragged myself to our family estate, my mother didn't offer a hug; she gasped in horror because my muddy clothes were ruining her Italian marble. They didn't give me my old room back. Instead, they banished me to a moldy gardener’s shack and hired a "babysitter" to make sure I didn't embarrass them further. My sister, Kaleigh, stood there in white cashmere, pretending to cry while clinging to her fiancé, Ambrose—the man who had once been mine. They all treated me like a volatile junkie, refusing to acknowledge that Kaleigh was the one who planted the drugs in my bag three years ago. They wanted to believe I was broken so they wouldn't have to feel guilty about the "wellness retreat" that was actually a torture chamber. I sat in the dark of that shed, feeling the cooling gel on the cigarette burns that covered my arms, and realized they had made a fatal mistake. They thought they had erased me, but I had returned with a roadmap of scars and a hidden satellite phone. At dinner, I didn't beg for their love. I simply rolled up my sleeves and showed them the price of their silence. As the wine spilled and the lies crumbled, I sent a single text to the only person I trusted: "I'm in. Let them simmer." The hunt was finally on.

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch—a titan of industry and my best friend’s father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband’s Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn’t find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn’t even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father’s legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn’s party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara’s health and managing every detail of Caden’s empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I’d drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause—if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I’d forgotten.
