Chapter 1 PLAN

Rico walked into the cafeteria with a big smile, he turned his head left and right-looking for someone, much like a lost child. After he found the person he was looking for, Rico immediately shouted, "Charlie Heaton?! Treat noodles !!"

"Uhuukk uhuukkk." And succeeded in making Charlie choke. Nadine who sat beside Charlie immediately gave him a glass of water and patted Charlie's back lightly.

Isn't it crazy that Rico's position is only a few steps from the entrance, while Charlie is sitting at the long table at the back. You can imagine how Rico's voice echoed in the cafeteria, the other children even glared at Rico with murderous eyes, but Rico doesn't care, he still has his trademark annoying grin, you bastard! There's no shame in that kid.

"Eh bastard! You want to kill me huh?!" Charlie glared at Rico who was running towards him. How come his cousin has a boyfriend like Rico? It is questionable.

Rico himself just grinned widely, he sat across from Charlie and pulled the bowl of meatballs in front of Charlie. "Yes, sorry bro. Treat me to noodles? Please please please!"

"Oh no!" Charlie hit Rico's head and pulled back his bowl of meatballs-continuing his delayed lunch.

"Gosh bro, very stingy," Rico said while pouting.

I'm crazy! I feel like Charlie wants to tap his lips with a chili spoon. Nadine is really stupid, she continues to eat the fried rice she ordered without a burden.

Not long after, his other cursed brother also came and rioted at Charlie's table. They were so noisy, that it made the whole cafeteria look at them.

"Can you guys calm down a bit? It's a shame to see a canteen," said Charlie, he felt like he really wanted to swallow his brothers and sisters one by one.

"what,"

"Ever,"

"Not,"

"Care,"

said Cheline, Fathia, Rico and Reza alternately, then laughed again.

"Eh eh Charlie, next week is summer vacation. How about we go on vacation together?" everyone was silent after hearing Reza's sudden words.

"Where are you going for holiday?" Nadine asked. She shifted her plate of fried rice that had run out to the center of the table.

"Yes, Grandpa! Camping or something like that. This is our last vacation together! Next year, we can't do it!" Reza replied gasping, he spooned the last meatball in Charlie's bowl with an innocent face. "Huh!! spicy!"

Charlie just shook his head at his younger brother's amoral behavior, he shifted his bowl of meatballs to the center of the table before saying, "Ahh yes. Next year Nadine and I will graduate." Charlie rubbed his finger on his chin, thinking of a perfect vacation spot.

Charlie and Nadine are already in final grade. The others are still in second grade. Fathia too, she should still be in first grade, but because Fathia is smart, she skips class.

I don't know how they started getting to know each other, even though they are on different levels. Yes, maybe because Cheline is Charlie's cousin, or maybe because the eight of them are often in the same place during breaks, such as in the library when there is an emergency, in the cafeteria, or behind the school.

Maybe that's why they became close and now it's like family. They have been together since Charlie and Nadine in 2nd grade of high school. It's only been a year, but their sense of kinship is felt.

"How about we take a vacation in the countryside? It's so beautiful, I'm stuffy every day when I see Michelle face," Nadine said, successfully making the others laugh out loud.

"Why me, sis" Michelle, who had been sitting quietly, pursed her lips-puffed.

"Hahahahaha-AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!" Rico overlaughs, he's really amused to see Michelle's pouting face. Want to sleep, dear far away. "Then, how about we go to my cousin's villa? The villa is luxurious, it's located richly on a hill. It's close to the countryside too, it's really cool. Because I was there when the villa was just being built," suggested Rico.

"Do you pay?" Charlie didn't want his wallet to run out. Moreover, there are luxury frills.

"Don't worry, I'm here." Rico raised his eyebrows and pulled his shirt collar pretentiously. Song is right.

"Heh, I just heard you shouting to be treated to noodles. And this pretends to want to pay, another luxury villa, not sure," Marchel said with his savage.

Making Rico immediately mumbled and the others laughed. "Tch! I didn't ask to know how you feel!" Rico stood up and pointed at Marchel with a sauce spoon. Marchel? He's so stupid. "Don't worry bro, it's free, because this is a family villa, anyone can use it," Rico continued and sat back down.

"Wow, that's good. You just call your cousin first, then let us know if the villa is empty," Charlie said, okay~ low budget vacation. They don't have to spend money to pay rent.

"Okay boss!" Rico shouted while posing respectfully.

They went back to eating their food before the bell rang-with a riot of course.

I had just survived a private jet crash, my body a map of violet bruises and my lungs still burning from the smoke. I woke up in a sterile hospital room, gasping for my husband's name, only to realize I was completely alone. While I was bleeding in a ditch, my husband, Adam, was on the news smiling at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. When I tracked him down at the hospital's VIP wing, I didn't find a grieving husband. I found him tenderly cradling his ex-girlfriend, Casie, in his arms, his face lit with a protective warmth he had never shown me as he carried her into the maternity ward. The betrayal went deeper than I could have imagined. Adam admitted the affair started on our third anniversary-the night he claimed he was stuck in London for a merger. Back at the manor, his mother had already filled our planned nursery with pink boutique bags for Casie's "little princess." When I demanded a divorce, Adam didn't flinch. He sneered that I was "gutter trash" from a foster home and that I'd be begging on the streets within a week. To trap me, he froze my bank accounts, cancelled my flight, and even called the police to report me for "theft" of company property. I realized then that I wasn't his partner; I was a charity case he had plucked from obscurity to manage his life. To the Hortons, I was just a servant who happened to sleep in the master bedroom, a "resilient" woman meant to endure his abuse in silence while the whole world laughed at the joke that was my marriage. Adam thought stripping me of his money would make me crawl back to him. He was wrong. I walked into his executive suite during his biggest deal of the year and poured a mug of sludge over his original ten-million-dollar contracts. Then, right in front of his board and his mistress, I stripped off every designer thread he had ever paid for until I was standing in nothing but my own silk camisole. "You can keep the clothes, Adam. They're as hollow as you are." I grabbed my passport, turned my back on his billions, and walked out of that glass tower barefoot, bleeding, and finally free.

For seventeen years, I was the crown jewel of the Kensington empire, the perfect daughter groomed for a royal future. Then, a cream-colored envelope landed in my lap, bearing a gold crest and a truth that turned my world into ice. The DNA test result was a cold, hard zero percent-I wasn't a Kensington. Before the ink could even dry, my parents invited my replacement, a girl named Alleen, into the drawing room and treated me like a trespasser in my own home. My mother, who once hosted galas in my honor, wouldn't even look me in the eye as she stroked Alleen's arm, whispering that she was finally "safe." My father handed me a one-million-dollar check-a mere tip for a billionaire-and told me to leave immediately to avoid tanking the company's stock price. "You're a thief! You lived my life, you spent my money, and you don't get to keep the loot!" Alleen shrieked, trying to claw the designer jacket off my shoulders while my "parents" watched with clinical detachment. I was dumped on a gritty sidewalk in Queens with nothing but three trunks and the address of a struggling laborer I was now supposed to call "Dad." I traded a marble mansion for a crumbling walk-up where the air smelled of exhaust and my new bedroom was a literal storage closet. My biological family thought I was a broken princess, and the Kensingtons thought they had successfully erased me with a payoff and a non-disclosure agreement. They had no idea that while I was hauling trunks up four flights of stairs, my secret media empire was already preparing to move against them. As I sat on a thin mattress in the dark, I opened my encrypted laptop and sent a single command that would cost my former father ten million dollars by breakfast. They thought they were throwing me to the wolves, but they forgot one thing: I'm the one who leads the pack.

I sat on the cold tile floor of our Upper East Side penthouse, staring at the two pink lines until my vision blurred. After ten years of loving Julian Sterling and three years of a hollow marriage, I finally had the one thing that could bridge the distance between us. I was pregnant. But Julian didn't come home with flowers for our anniversary. He tossed a thick manila envelope onto the marble coffee table with a heavy thud. Fiona, the woman he'd truly loved for years, was back in New York, and he told me our "business deal" was officially over. "Sign it," He said, his voice flat and devoid of emotion. He looked at me with the cold detachment of a man selling a piece of unwanted furniture. When I hesitated, he told me to add a zero to the alimony if the money wasn't enough. I realized in that moment that if he knew about the baby, he wouldn't love me; he would simply take my child and give it to Fiona to raise. I shoved the pregnancy test into my pocket, signed the papers with a shaking hand, and lied through my teeth. When my morning sickness hit, I slumped to the floor to hide the truth. "It's just cramps," I gasped, watching him recoil as if I were contagious. To make him stay away, I invented a man named Jack-a fake boyfriend who supposedly gave me the kindness Julian never could. Suddenly, the man who wanted me gone became a monster of possessiveness. He threatened to "bury" a man who didn't exist while leaving me humiliated at his family's dinner to rush to Fiona's side. I was so broken that I even ate a cake I was deathly allergic to, then had to refuse life-saving steroids at the hospital because they would harm the fetus. Julian thinks he's stalling the divorce for two months to protect the family's reputation for his father's Jubilee. He thinks he's keeping his "property" on a short leash until the press dies down. He has no idea I'm using those sixty days to build a fortress for my child. By the time he realizes the truth, I'll be gone, and the Sterling heir will be far beyond his reach.
