Angel Snow doesn't know that she's actually an Angel (Not a Fallen Angel). She goes to college with her friends with no knowledge of her history. Soon she will be dropped into this former life and this former life will put all her friends in danger along with her. Will the man who came to harm her be the one to save her and give her the love she's always longed for. Angel felt the hair on the back of her neck stand up it wasn't the same feeling she had from the man with black hair. This was bad, looking behind her she didn't see anyone and when she turned back the man with black hair was before her. He smiled tentatively at her, "Hello," he said. His voice was deep and smooth like whiskey she felt herself shiver, "Hello," she replied. The freckles on her face were a beautiful light color and he could see silver flakes in her blue eyes, "I saw you earlier and wanted to meet you." Her voice was fine and musical, "I see, I'm Angel." His heart responded to this woman in a way he hasn't felt in a long time, "I'm Kenyon." The music came over the speakers it was a slow song he looked at her, "Would you like to dance." She smiled, "I'd love to." He reached his hand out to her and she tentatively put hers in his and sparks shot up her arm at the mere touch. She saw he was affected too as they walked onto the dance floor then he wrapped his arms around her waist. Angel placed her hands on his broad shoulders then they swayed together to the song. He was tall she'd guess six-three, but with her heeled boots the top of her head touched his chin. Kenyon noted she was small and delicate but well-muscled with curves in all the right places. Her body responded to him on a whole different level then the other guys she's dated. He felt her whole body go soft as she stepped closer and laid her head on his chest. She could hear and feel the beat of his heart unfortunately the song ended to quickly then the next band started playing a heavier song.
A storm was brewing on the horizon he could feel it while walking through the halls of his stepfathers' home. Kenyon could hear voices coming from the throne room as he entered there was his mother sitting in her throne chair. Off to the side of the throne chairs stood his stepbrother then his stepfather Alden stood in front staring at him as he walked forward. His wings snapped as he drew them close to his body then kneeled before Alden.
"My Lord," Kenyon greeted as he bowed his head.
"Kenyon this is your one chance at redemption," Alden glared at his stepson.
"I understand, what is your request of me," Kenyon replied.
"I'm sending you to earth to track down a lost angel. Once you find her, you'll bring her to me."
Kenyon looked up at Alden through hooded lashes, "Of course just give me her name and I'll comply."
His stepbrother Brody was who answered, "Her name is Angel Snow."
Alden glared at his son, "You need to keep your mouth shut Brody."
Brody turned red, Kenyon wasn't sure whether it was anger or embarrassment, "I'm sorry father."
Alden replied before turning his attention back to Kenyon, "Always know your place Brody."
"I'll remember father, sorry."
"Now Kenyon, her name is Angel Snow. You'll know her when you see her because even without wings, we know our own."
Kenyon just wanted to get out of this room, "Yes Lord Alden, I'll find Angel Snow and return her to you."
Alden smiled, "Very good, if you complete this task all will be forgiven."
Kenyon stood, "My Lord," he said then quickly left the room.
Nora sighed as she watched her only son quickly leave, glaring at her husband's back, "Alden why must you be so rough on him."
Alden turned to look at his wife, she was exquisitely beautiful with her ebony hair and stunning blue eyes. She was more beautiful than his first wife, Brody's mother, "You know why and if he ever pulls a stunt like he did before I'll not only take his wings but yours as well."
Nora gasped while Brody spoke, "Father, how could you say such a thing."
Alden glared at his son who looked so much like his mother except the hair, "Brody, I'm not going to tell you again."
Nora gingerly smiled at Brody, "It's fine Brody just go take care of what you need to."
Brody bowed to them then hurried from the room Nora stood opening her wings. Again, Alden was struck by her beauty, her wings were black as a raven on top while her feathers were a peach color. The tips were white like her son Kenyon she wore a black dress in a medieval fashion. A wide belt of white wrapped around her slim waist which pushed her breasts up. A great deal of cleavage showed along with a tattoo which went under her breasts and between them. She also had tattoos on her wrists that went down the top of her hands. His wings were also black on top the feathers were of a royal blue with no white which spoke of his royal blood line.
Nora glared at him, "Sometimes I wonder why I let you talk me into marrying you," with that she gracefully walked out of the room.
Angel tossed in her bed the dream gripped her, but when she woke with a start her mind was blank. It happened every time she experienced the dream, she could never remember it just the emotions left behind. Sighing she got up and padded into her bathroom looking in the mirror she saw dark circles under her eyes. They would disappear in a couple of days for now she'd put makeup on to hide them. Removing her clothes, she stepped into the shower letting the hot water wash away the remaining feelings of the dream. Angel stepped out dried herself off then dressed in a camisole top black and white with a flower pattern. A sash wrapped around it just under her breastbone then threw on some black jeans with rips across her knees. A pair of leather low heeled boots finished it off. It was Thursday she didn't have classes today, Wednesday was unusually a day of no classes, but instead this week it was today. Angel was off to meet her friends at The Hermit Café making her way downstairs she ran into her brother Zane.
"Where are you two going."
They both turned at the sound of their mom's voice Angel spoke first, "I'm meeting the band at The Hermit Café."
Zane looked more guilty of something, "I'm meeting my friends at the beach."
Their mom nodded, "Be home in time for dinner."
In unison they said. "Yes mom."
Together they left the house each turning in a different direction. The town of Hollow Valley was small you could walk everywhere you wanted to go. It was ridiculous of her mom to question her and Zane about where they're going for goodness's sake, they were both in college. I guess if she's paying for it then she could treat them like they were still in high school. The weather remained hot, but you could see a storm brewing over the mountains. She loved this small town everyone for the most part was nice. Of course, you have bad people everywhere and Hollow Valley was no different.
Angel finally arrived at The Hermit Café entering she saw it was packed full of people seeing Britta sitting at a table toward the back. At the table with her was Dillon who had his leg flung over the back of another chair while he lounged back. He was talking to Lara who sat on the edge of the counter bar. Making her way over she pulled out a bar stool it had a chair backing turning it backwards she straddled it and looked at her friends.
Britta smiled, "We were worried you wouldn't show up."
"Why wouldn't I," Angel asked.
"Because of your mom," Lara replied.
Angel nodded her head in understanding, "She questioned me, but let me leave saying be home for dinner."
Dillon chuckled, "Are we still in high school."
"Shut up Dillon," Lara snapped.
Angel studied each of her friends starting with Britta, she had dark red hair that went to her shoulders. Her light green eyes sparkled with mirth, but there was also a sadness about her probably due to her living situation. She has tattoos around her upper biceps they looked like tribal wings the same ones were on her lower back and stomach. One piercing marred her face just above the left side of her upper lip a single stud. Next was Lara she had flawless coffee brown skin with a tattoo of a cherry blossom tree which went up the back of her body it continued over her shoulders down the top part of her chest. One limb went down part of her arm it was done in black and pink also a hoop nose ring was attached to her left nostril. Her long honey colored hair was done in small braids her golden-brown eyes were sharp. Looking over at Dillon he was over six feet in height with reddish blond hair and whiskey-colored eyes. He had no facial piercings but a face tattoo of a diamond with the word love underneath below his left eye also a full body tattoo.
Angel herself has a tattoo on the left side of her chest flowers with a butterfly flying toward her shoulder. On her back she had what appeared to be a tattoo of angel wings which she had never gotten herself. She once asked her mom about it but was told by her to never ask about it again.
"So, Lara your friend said we could play at her party," Angel looked at her.
"Well, she's not exactly my friend and it's not a party but a club," Lara replied.
"What do you mean not your friend," Dillon asked.
"It's actually Beck's sisters' friend and club," Lara answered.
"A club sweet, speaking of where the hell is Beck anyway," Dillion looked around the café.
Angel put her elbow on the back of the chair then rested her chin in her hand, "You know Beck is always late to a meeting."
"Just like he always manages to screw up a show somehow," Britta chuckled.
Right then the door opened, and Beck walked in looking embarrassed. He spotted them hurrying toward the group stopping in front of them. They all stared at him in shock Britta recovered first, "Speak of the devil."
Dillon shook his head, "Dude what the fuck happened to your hair."
Beck rubbed the back of his neck, "My sister is going to school to be a beautician and needed to practice."
They all started laughing for Beck's hair was a dark blue with light blue highlights. Lara recovered first, "Well I think it rocks."
Beck came over to take a stool next to Lara, "Thanks Lara."
Beck was as tall as Dillon usually his hair was a sable brown color while his eyes were a strange bluish green that didn't seem like a real color. He also had tattoo's down both arms on his neck along with both legs he had piercings on the bridge of his nose and one through the middle of his lower lip.
Angel laughed as she spoke, "Well we have a gig and Beck is rocking a new hairdo."
"Yes," the group shouted.
Everyone turned to glare at them just as the door opened as a soft rain began to fall another group came in. At the front of it was a beautiful leggy blond-haired person with a scowl on her lovely lips, "Great the loser squad is here," Trista grumbled.
Maxim looked at the group his eyes instantly falling on Britta, "Trista we can always go somewhere else."
Felicia was the on to reply, "Maxim why the hell should we have to leave."
Trista shook her head as she spoke, "Felicia's right Maxim."
"Your right Trista I'm sorry," he sadly spoke.
Lola who was new to the group asked, "Why are they losers."
Trista harshly spoke, "Lola if you want to be part of this crew you won't question me."
"Yea their losers because Trista says so," Felicia explained.
Tyree saw Lara sitting on the counter kicking her legs back and forth. She looked over at him and he waved Trista saw it, "Tyree, who the hell are you waving at."
Tyree shuffled his feet looking down, "Oh...um no one."
Trista glared at him, "Exactly!"
Dillon looked over at the group noticing the new girl with them she was at least five seven in height without heels. Her hair was an interesting red and had curves in all the right places, "Damn who's the hottie," he finally spoke once he caught his breath.
Britta answered, "Her name is Lola Sikes, she's new in town. She's in a few of my classes and seems nice."
Dillon nodded his head while Lara said, "To bad she's hanging with the wrong group."
"Maybe I can sway her away from them," he said.
Lara laughed, "Good luck I've been trying to get Tyree away from them for almost a year."
Britta glanced at Maxim he looked sad she wanted to go talk to him. Trista said something to them all and they went upstairs to the balcony area. From there you could look out at the bottom of the café. There was a lower level which had more seating and restrooms. She sighed as Maxim trudged up the stairs behind Trista.
Kenyon left his stepfather as quickly as he could going to his room, he packed a few things. He didn't need much since one of his biological father's houses were located where he was heading. Just because they had a home in their section of heaven didn't mean they always stayed there. They lived their life just like the people on earth also mingling with them just like normal people. Finally, ready to go he left his room heading for the launch room. This was the opening which allowed them to leave Heaven to fly down to earth. Each branch of Heaven had their own launch area. There were different sections of angel's first of course was God after him the highest angels were the angels of mercy. Next was the angels of light and the angels of darkness, which he was part of.
Then bellow them was the element angels, air, water, fire, and earth after that were the guardian angels, angels of death, angels of love, angels of emotions. There were more lower angels, but it would take forever to name them all.
John was looking down at something he was reading, "Hey John," Kenyon greeted.
"Hey Kenyon, heading down," John greeted back.
"Yeah, I'm on a mission for my stepfather."
"You know the drill," John handed him a small device where Kenyon entered his name, day, and time he departed. Next, he put in his destination then handed it back to John.
"Good luck Kenyon," he opened the locked door.
Kenyon stepped through opening his wings then stepped off the platform. He dropped down a little way before starting to flap his large wings. Angels of darkness all had wings that looked like a bird they were black on top then his feathers extending down were a dark purple the tips were white. All angels of darkness had black tops then depending on your parent's colors this decided what color the feathers were. His father's wings were a dark purple also while his moms were a peach color. Kenyon entered earth and came to a landing spot away from town his feet touched the ground. In a quick second he folded up his wings and they disappeared into his body. On Earth they hid their wings it was cool how it worked. Now the only evidence of any kind of wings was a tattoo on their back which looked like wings.
"Now to find Angel Snow," Kenyon said under his breath. Turning he walked into town toward the house he owned with his mother. It had belonged to his father and became his along with his mom after his father died.
Alijah hurried toward the throne room he didn't want to make Lady Jacklyn wait. Entering he found Lady Jacklyn standing on the raised floor where the throne chairs sat. Behind her stood Lady Christen, Lady Jacklyn's daughter. She smiled at him he smiled back then Lady Jacklyn turned, and he schooled his face.
"Ah, Alijah finally," Jacklyn looked at the young man.
Alijah bowed to her, "I'm at your service my Lady."
"Good, very good I have a task for you," Jacklyn smiled at him.
He never trusted that smile it seemed malicious, "Anything you need."
"I'm sending you to Earth to locate and bring back a lost angel."
He seemed surprised because the only angels sent to live forever on Earth were fallen. They did something terrible, so they're stripped of their wings and memories. They weren't completely on their own God made sure they had a life which could sustain them. But Alijah has never heard of a lost angel.
"What is this angels name," Alijah didn't ask the other questions he had.
Jacklyn regarded the young man he was attractive with light blond hair and blue-sky eyes. The only imperfection was a scar that started on his right cheek went down across his lips to end on the chin. Despite what he and her daughter knew she was aware of their relationship for this reason alone is why she's sending him on this task.
"Are you sure you want to send Alijah, Mom," Christen asked.
"Christen, you shouldn't concern yourself with this matter.
Alijah cringed at Lady Jacklyn's tone, "Lady Christen do not concern yourself."
"Her name is Angel Snow, if you succeed in this task, you will be reward with your second set of wings."
Alijah was jumping for joy on the inside because if he could get a second set of wings, he could be with Christen, "I shall not fail you."
"Very good," Jacklyn turned leaving the throne room.
Christen rushed over to Alijah and he embraced her to him, "I don't like this," she said.
Alijah held her tightly, "It will be fine I have to get my second wings so we can be together."
"I know, mother told me she's found a suiter for me."
He pulled back to look at her, she was beautiful with her angelic face. Her hair was shoulder length and the color of wheat while her eyes were a cobalt blue, "See I have to do this because I love you."
She sighed and with her hand resting on his chest she could feel the beat of his heart, "I love you too, please come back to me soon Alijah."
"I will," he leaned down to gently capture her lips in a tender kiss.
Stepping away Alijah turned leaving the room Christen wanted to cry because he wouldn't be around. What kind of man did her mother pick for her to possibly marry?
Angel left the café to head home there was a light rain falling, but it didn't bother her. As she neared her house there was a feeling, she wasn't alone. A feeling someone was watching her, Angel looked behind her then to both sides but saw no one. The feeling intensified so she hurried to her house and the safety of it. Kenyon found the house where Angel Snow lived it wasn't hard to find. However, he hadn't seen a young woman in or near the house, but then a sudden reaction kicked in his chest. The kind he always got when another angel was around looking over, he spotted her. All the air rushed out of his lungs Angel Snow was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen. Her hair was long and up in a ponytail the color happened to be a combination of silver and white. He wondered what color her eyes were then he noticed she'd stopped walking. He held his breath hoping she didn't spot him Kenyon watched as she quickly hurried to her house. Turning he left to go home he'd found her, but now he'd need to kidnap her.
