"I just want someone to need me, is that so bad?" "I need you Amanda I do!" Mathew says to her without hesitation "No you don't, you'll find someone better" she says and falls to her knees crying. "You deserve better." "There is nothing better then you, you are the best." Mathew says and sits down and holds her close. "I'm not the best I'm the worst, there's way better." She says "Well I want you and only you" "But no one ever has" she says calmed down a little "I have no one" "Well I do Amanda... I-I love you... you have me." ➖➖➖➖ Amanda Ray Hart is a sixteen year old girl who has one sibling; a brother, who went with her mom when Amanda was only 6, she didn't go because her mother didn't want her, her mother blamed everything on her, said that it was her fault that her parents were getting divorced, her fault that her father got so mad and abused her mother; which is why her mother didn't want her, because she thought that her 6 year old daughter was the cause of everything bad. She has a rough life, her dads an alcoholic; and now ever sense her mom left he abuses her because he cant do it to her mother and he also feels as if everything is her fault just like her mother did, shes suicidal and shes depressed. But one day she meets a boy named Matthew Ray Wilson; The new kid at school, who she falls for. She tries not to show her feelings, she doesn't want him to see how damaged she really is so she tries to shut him out and push him away, scared of what he'll think. She doesn't want him to see her life, or what she goes through. She has a best friend who already knows part of how damaged she is, she knows shes suicidal and knows shes depressed but has no idea why, she tries to help her through it and Amanda just feels like a burden because of it. Eventually, she can't hide her feelings for Matthew, she can't push him away nor shut him out it won't work. Her life is about to change, All by just meeting one little person; who will change her life... forever
Chapter 1 Meeting each other
My alarm begins to sound and I promptly shut it off hoping not to wake my father. I get up and get dressed, putting on black jeans, socks, brown boots and a long sleeve shirt. I quietly walk to the bathroom to brush my hair and teeth after I'm done I put my long brown hair up in a messy bun and run back to my room to call Monica, but just as I'm about to hit call I hear someone stumbling outside of my bedroom, I grab my book bag and put my phone back in my pocket, quietly sliding my window open and climbing out onto a nearby tree, I close my window and jump down then begin walking to school.
Not too long later Monica pulls up behind me. "Hey Amanda, want a ride?" asks Monica "Sure" I reply getting in and buckling up. "Why on earth wouldn't you call and ask for a ride, it's freezing out." Monica says "Well, I was going to but I got sidetracked... and forgot" I say, trying to cook up an excuse "Well next time call" Monica says "Okay." I say.
The rest of the car ride we just sat and listened to the radio and not much longer we stopped in front of the schoolhouse. "I'll meet you inside, I'm going to go park." Monica says "alright, see you soon." I say as I get out and close the car door, I walk up the stairs to the high school and go inside walking to my locker to get my books. I open my locker and grab my books. I shut my locker and turn around, not paying attention I run into someone, my books falling to the ground, I look up and see this tall boy kinda cute if you ask me with his blue eyes and brown hair "S-sorry." I stutter crouching down to pick up my books that had fallen, "Don't be, let me help you with those." he said crouching down picking up some of my books and handing them to me, we both stand up "T-thank you." I say "No problem." he smiles "I should be getting to class though, I don't wanna be late." he says "Alright." I reply "See ya." he says and waves. He seems nice I think to myself and not much longer Monica walks up behind me "Boo." she says and I jump dropping my books again "Holy crap!" I yell "You scared me" I pick up my books and she laughs "Sorry not sorry." she says "Whatever." I laugh "We should get to class before we're late." I say and we begin walking to class.
We enter the classroom and you'll never believe who is sitting in the seat adjacent to mine, Yep the boy who I ran into... literally... in the halls. I walk over and sit down next to him Monica sitting on the other side of me, her boyfriend Carter on the other side of her. "Long time no see" Says the boy I ran into in the hall as he smiles at me "Yeah" I nod and the teacher begins to talk "Alright class it seems we have a new kid in class, would you mind coming up telling us about yourself." The guy who I ran into and have yet to ask his name stands up waking to the front of the room "Well my name is Matthew but you guys can call me Matt for short, we moved here because my parents got a job offer and it was easier then traveling back and forth to work so yeah nothing else really." Matthew I think, cute name for a cute boy I'm cut short of my thoughts when he comes back and sits back beside me and the teacher begins teaching class.
Time passes by quick and two classes later, it was lunch time. We were only midway through the day and I probably caught Matt staring at me like a million times. Monica, her boyfriend and I get our lunch and sit at our normal table. A few moments later a voice sounds behind me "Do you mind if I sit here?" I twist around and am met with those gorgeous blue eyes, it's Matthew of course. "Certainly, I don't mind" I reply he smiles at me sitting down. Monica winks at me, I only roll my eyes and begin eating my lunch. Not long later the mean girl Vanessa and her two minions come up behind me one of the minions pouring milk over my head, I quickly stand up turning around "What the hell!" I say and another minion pours pasta on me "Vanessa don't you and your minions have better things to do then to be bitches!" Monica says angrily, standing up balling her fists "Can it Monica, I don't even get why you would care about this worthless piece of crap." Venessa says harshly, Her words stung like vinegar in a cut "I mean everyone knows you could find a better friend, Shes worthless, fat, ugly, dumb, I don't even understand why shes on this earth." She adds and With those words tears start spilling out of my eyes, I go to run out of the cafeteria but Matthew grabs my arm making me wince in pain, he lets go and I run out into the girls bathroom, I take out my tool pressing it against my wrist pressing down once then twice and a third time I cry unable to stop forth time fifth time sixth time Monica barges in the stall I'm in and takes my tool away "I can't do this anymore." I shout shaking "I just can't!" She grabs toilet paper wiping the blood trickling onto the floor off of my wrists and the floor bandaging up my wrist and holding me "Shhhh it's okay, I'm here." We sat there for a bit and after awhile I stop shaking and calm down.
After I'm calmed down Monica takes me home "If you need anything call me Hun and don't do anything stupid, Please." I nod "Thank you, " I wait for her to leave and get out of my view and I climb the tree opening my window quietly, I enter my room and set my bag down, lay on my bed suddenly feeling exhaustion wash over me I fall into a deep deep sleep. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Authors note: Bully's suck but it's always good to have friends who will stand by your side no matter what happens.
