Chapter 1 Will You Attend My Wedding

Standing on the balcony, a black figure is seen, drinking a cup of coffee. Because it was still 3am in the morning, everywhere was quite dark, ad due to the fact there was no light in the room behind her, her face was not seen.

In the room is a middle aged man in his early thirties, standing nervously.

"There's a news circulating around social media" he started waiting for her her to say something.

"What does that have to do with me?" The reply came and he breathed a sigh of relief.

"It's about the school left by Sir Lucas, people have been leaving the school, both the highschool and college"

Slowly, she turned, her sharp blue eyes casting a look on him.

He swallowed and continued: "They keep saying you don't attend school and yet you always pass with flying colors, they are imposing you are often given high marks so you can pass"

Silence ensued, then a question came: "Mr Smith, what do you think I should do?"

"I would say you should go back to school, in less than a year you'd supposedly graduate"

She nodded and turned back around: "Alright, have heard you. Prepare a car for me"

He hesitated contemplating whether to ask.

"Don't assign any guard"

He breathed out a sigh of relief and bowed: "Yes ma'am"

Immediately Mr Smith left, a call entered her phone.

Fetching the phone from her pocket, she smiled and swiped the answer icon saying: "what are you doing up so early?"

The person at the other end gasped: I'm sorry Tequila, right here it's already 8:12am, is it that early over there?"

Tequila nodded and answered: "It's 3:12am"

"I'm sorry, should I call later?"

"It would have been better but since you've called now, just go straight to the point"

"Alright, I hope you still remember my wedding is in three days time right?"

Tequila slammed her forehead with her palm, biting her lips angrily: "Three days time? Friday?"

"Yes"

"I'm sorry Emily, my schedule on that day is the tightest, I'm afraid I won't be able to come but I would join via zoom"

Emily sighed from the other end: "You promised! But it's okay since you've promised to attend via zoom no problem"

Tequila said with gratitude: "thanks for understanding Emily"

"It's okay, I was thinking of calling vanessa but I'll have to wait for some few hours. I'm still upset with her"

Tequila said nothing and taking that as a cue to hang up, Emily said: "I'll hang up now"

The line went dead and Tequila pocketed back the phone.

After Emily hung up, a frown creased her face but the black american man who she laid her head on couldn't help giving a silent prayer that Tequila shouldn't change her mind and come.

"Cole, do you think we should shift our wedding to New York, I think London is a bit far"

Cole stiffened and quicky said: " Babe, it's almost our wedding, just a matter of three days. What would happen to our guests who flew from Korea to London only to hear we are moving it to London in a matter of three days. I know you're doing this for Tequila but remember she has promised to attend via zoom, so you don't have to worry. Beside you don't want to move a wedding a lot of people are looking foreward to just to make it convenient for one person and every other person complains?"

The explanation made sense to Emily and she said: "you're right, let's have our wedding here in New York"

She curled up to the form of a ball and fell asleep.

Seeing her posture, Cole couldn't help sighing.

Back in New York

Dressed in a black track suit with three shiny rings on her left fingers, Tequila entered the bugatti veyron limited edition car and zoomed off to school.

Mr Smith watched the car, leave the gate and disappeared into the main road.

Turning to a guy close to him, he asked: "Theo, do you think I should secretly send guards to protect her?"

Theo, is among the unanimous friend circle of Tequila and Mr Smith, having no where to go after Tequila took over he decide to work as a guard in her house.

Theo looked over at Smith and laughed: "The last time you tried that, it didn't go so well or have you forgotten?"

Indeed Smith had done it once and Tequila dealt mercilessly with him. Although Tequila respected him, she loved privacy way too much and when one trespasses, regardless of who you are you'd be in deep trouble.

Smith answered with a sigh: "Alright"

Remembering something, Theo asked: "Vanessa Hudgens, I heard she would be in school today"

Smith shook his head saying with a pitiable expression: "Vanessa is digging her own grave. She's still alive because of Emily. I got to go now Theo, the company needs me"

Theo nodded, turned around and disappeared into the corners of the house.

Because Tequila arrived extremely late, they were no students in the schools vicinity when she arrived.

She searched for a suitable spot and parked. She grabbed a stylish red eye glass and put on.

She alighted from the car, through the help of the schools map she made her way to the course she was supposed to have that morning.

Vanessa Hudgens had also arrived, but earlier. Having no idea Tequila would come too, she enjoyed the glory until the door opened and the lecturer stopped to reprimand the late comer but stopped seeing who she never expected to see in her wildest dreams in the doorway with an apologetic smile.

Now that was something about Tequila, she could be cold and cold be hot, it just depended on the people she met.

"I'm sorry I'm late ma'am, woke up late"

The whole class were shocked. Vanessa also arrived when the lecture was ongoing but unlike Tequila she said no apologies and acted pompously when fans wanted a picture.

Someone at the back unconsciously exclaimed: "Now that is why Vanessa can never be compared to Tequila"

Because the whole class was quiet, it resounded around the classroom!

I Slapped My Fiancé-Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé. Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now-billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn't mind. I'd crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one? Wrong. One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That's when it hit me-he didn't love me. He didn't even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn't even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup. So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster-my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise. Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol. Enter him. Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I'd met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes. It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised. But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life. And, as it turned out, the best decision I'd ever made. Because my one-night stand isn't just some random guy. He's richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with. And now, he's not letting me go.
