It's summer break and everybody in the Smith family was getting ready for their vacation.

" Kelvin, Benjamin, Are you boys done with packing what you need? " Their old man asked as he walked into their completely disorganized room. Kelvin was busy packing his diving equipment while Benjamin was sitting on his side of his bed with his eyes glued to the screen of his computer.

" Yeah" they both replied, not even glancing at him.

" For God's sake clean this place up, if you guys don't clean this place up, then I will cancel this vacation" Their dad yelled, the two turned to look at him and sprung up from their sitting positions and began to clean their room.

" Good when you're done, meet me outside" their dad ordered and left.

" Why are you doing this, you don't even like the beach," Kelvin asked Benjamin.

" Shut up and clean quickly," Benjamin replied sharply.

" Oh, it's a girl, right? " Kelvin said in a teasing manner. Benjamin frowned and glared at him.

" I'm older than you " Benjamin replied and Kelvin stopped what he was doing. He had a confused expression on his face, and asked, "so? And How does that answer my question? "

" So when I tell you to shut up, I really mean you should shut the f**k up! " Benjamin yelled.

" Oh! So, it's Maddie, right? No Suzy, oh! Oh! Oh! I got it... " Kelvin said as he paused dramatically with a mischievous grin on his face, Benjamin rolled his eyes and ignored him. Kelvin continued with a chuckle" Ashley, Ayesha, Courtney, I could mention a lot "Benjamin inhaled deeply and exhaled sharply, as his intense light-brown orbs glared at Kelvin who was still laughing.

" B*llsh*t, it's none of them, okay, I just want to relax" Benjamin replied.

" Hmm you seem serious * pauses to think a little* okay let's say I believe you" Kelvin said, Benjamin angrily walked towards him and grabbed the collar of Kelvin's shirt and warned sternly," don't mess with me kid"

" What are you guys still doing? " Their dad yelled from outside.

" Oh! Nothing dad, we are almost done" Benjamin replied," don't mess with me" Kelvin mumbled, mimicking Benjamin's voice. Benjamin turned and asked," what did you just say? Are you mimicking me? " and Kelvin shook his head,

" You know I can f**king hear you," Benjamin added. And that's when their dad walked in.

" What is going on here?" their dad asked, Benjamin let go of Kelvin's shirt and said," nothing ", Their dad eyed them for a while with a suspicious look on his face, and ordered," I asked both of you to clean, not to fight, you know what forget it, hmm finish with this and let's go - now! "

Benjamin and Kelvin nodded and began to clean faster than they were before. They finished with the arrangements quickly and carried their things to the car. After loading the car, their dad entered and sat on the driver's seat, Kelvin sat at the passenger seat and Benjamin sat at the back.

" Dad, are we going to continue with our family traditions like we always do?" Kelvin asked.

" Yes, of course," their dad replied.

" *scoffs* b*llsh*t" Benjamin said, Their dad turned to look at him and asked" boy, what did you just say? "

" Nothing," Benjamin replied sharply.

" Oh don't give me that attitude" Their dad replied, Benjamin had a confused look on his face and asked,

" What attitude? " Benjamin asked.

" Once we arrive at Lante Beach, you're grounded" Their dad said.

" Uh, but dad! " Benjamin yelled.

" No buts" their dad replied and started the car

Kelvin shook his head as he turned to look out the window and thought with a smile on his face. ' This is going to be a very eventful summer' he thought.

" Goddammit, yo, kelvin tell dad I ain't staying indoors all summer" Benjamin said, Kelvin turned to look at him and said," and what makes you think he will listen to me"

" If you want to avoid staying indoors all summer then participate in our normal family traditions, do I make myself clear?" Their dad said.

" *sigh* yes sir" Benjamin mumbled

" Do you hear anything Kelvin? " their dad asked, Kelvin chuckled and shook his head.

" I said, do I make myself clear? " Their dad asked, stressing his words.

" F**k it! Fine, yes sir" Benjamin yelled with a frustrated tone and look. Their dad nodded and drove off.

Finally, after a long two hours drive, they arrived at Lante Beach. Kelvin Benjamin and their father came out of their car and stared at the sea.

" Benjamin help me with the bags" Their dad ordered and Benjamin did as he was told. Kelvin, on the other hand, admired the scenery of the sea's waves, he listened to the sound of the waves hugging the shore, The echo of people's laughter as they played at the shore. The fresh smell was so strong that one can taste it dancing on one's taste buds. The sea looked like an enormous pool of wonder. It was exceptionally blue with a slight green undertone. The surface looked as though it were covered with millions of diamonds, crashing with the waves and kissing the sand. " Dad, can I go for a quick surf with my board?" Kelvin asked with a bright smile on his face.

" Alright son but meet us at the beach house okay? " He replied, Kelvin nodded sharply and grabbed his surfboard from Benjamin's hand.

" Hold on dad, why do you always let him have fun and not me" Benjamin asked with a look of disapproval on his face.

" Because you're the Eldest son, plus you've had your fun, now come on let's go" He replied with a smile, Benjamin sighed with frustration and followed his dad to the beach house he rented for them.

Kelvin could feel the sand in between my feet as he ran towards the shore. Kelvin reached the shore, and he could feel the water teasing his toes and running back into hiding.

Repeating the cycle, getting closer and closer each time until he felt the rush of the current under him and the sand being pulled out from between his toes back into the sea. Kelvin held his board in his right hand and walked into the water until it reached his waist, then he climbed onto the board and laid on the board and paddled forward for a while, looking for a wave. He paddled a bit far from the beach, but he wasn't that far, The lifeguard who sat at his post noticed this and yelled with his megaphone, " a kid don't go too far, that place is forbidden", but Kelvin didn't hear him it was like Kelvin was in his world as he paddled even further. Finally, he spotted a wave. In one quick motion, he pushed his body up with his arms and tucked his feet up and under him. He placed one foot where his hands pushed up from, and the other at least a shoulder's width behind. ' Time to ride this wave' he thought with a smile on his face he kept his feet planted on the board, bent his knees, arms loose, and his eyes focused on the wave.

He leaned and turned with his body, keeping his center of gravity on the board. Used his body to gently dip one rail of his board into the face of the wave. This created a drag that turned the board. Once he caught the right angle, he maintained balance and rode down the curl of the wave. Suddenly, his surfboard began to plunge from side to side and the temperature dipped all of a sudden. There was a storm rising.

There was total darkness as the clouds started to thicken and threatening lightning advanced.

" What the hell? " Kelvin mumbled to himself, he looked around and noticed he was very far from the beach, Heck! He couldn't even see the beach. ' Shit! I have to go back' he thought, he laid on the board and began to paddle back.

The wind came charging the water at high speeds, creating a gigantic wave. The waves grew colossal, as his board was riding up and down the sea. The strong sea beneath his feet was creating a massive wave in every direction as it took his board to the edge of its breaking. It was covering every last ray of light, and the thunder snapped through the dense air. " Shit! Someone help." he yelled. Lightning struck into the sea, creating a whirlpool behind him, he paddle away faster but it kept dragging him , " someone help !! Please " he yelled.
