He has a secret he could never tell, a face he could never show, a name he could never claim, a girl he could never hold, a family in despair and a throne he must own.
A guy of few words, Von Colt projects an air of terror and superiority.
Unfortunately for him, he is one of the abhorrent King's sons, who is universally adored by all ruling factions. Before his father took the oath of Kingly duty, the Colt family was famous for possessing the largest stakes in every major corporation in the country. Almost every aspect of society is under their control; they own airports, harbors, and seaports; retail centers and megastores; a hotel chain and a health care network; and even schools.
It was widely assumed that Von Colt exists in a parallel universe with no shared rotation with the rest of humanity. They probably think he can get away with anything, including murder, because of his celebrity status. He was destined for greatness, but his reputation was always tarnished by the scandalous corruption of his father, who was already King but craved more power.
A normal existence is the one thing Von Colt has always wanted but could never afford. Rather improbable, especially if you're a member of the royal family.
Von Colt never claimed the Prince title, even though he was born into it. Not even a glimpse of the one real Prince's face, let alone his voice, had ever been heard or seen by anyone in the entire country. This has led to a lot of unfounded assumptions, rumors, and speculation. In spite of never having seen him, they were nonetheless able to destroy his reputation. The tabloids paint him as a devil's offspring who has been exiled or locked away due to his rotten character. Since no one had ever disclosed his face in the media, he was the only member of the Royal Family to have ever lived among the common people.
Though he never considered himself to be Prince, he is the epitome of one. He was raised to become a man of honor and dignity, a polar opposite from his eccentric father according to some hearsay of the old town folks.
For the sake of his goal, he kept a low profile. He had been successful at maintaining this grim double life for a very long time. He strongly disliked the moniker "Von Colt" and always tried to change it. He had no desire for royal status. In modern times, he is known as Laurent Greco, after adopting his mother's maiden name. He was contented and living peacefully in a small town with close knitted people.
Until an unnamed group savagely murdered his father.
With his father, the King, now deceased, Laurent Greco must reclaim his identity and publicly introduce himself to the people for the first time for the sake of his country's welfare.
This wouldn't be an issue if he hadn't built up such strong bond with an inconspicuous woman, a commoner who he was constantly lying to. Someone who he really didn't want to lose.
His best friend, Acantha.
