Bedroom Date Night Chapter 1 A Trap Before the Wedding

At the Royal Bay Hotel...

In an incredibly large VIP room, Suzy Sharp was clinking the glass in hand with those of the others, her cheeks blushed.

To celebrate that Suzy was getting married the next day, her friends willingly threw a big bachelorette party for her. She was never a drinker. This time, however, she had to accept toasts one after another under her friends' encouragement.

"Well done. Come on, finish the last drink." Stacey Baker, being egged on by the others, said, "Congratulations to dear Suzy, who is going to become someone's wife tomorrow."

"Well, if this is the last one, I'll have it." Suzy took the glass of wine and revealed a smile.

"I've prepared a surprise for you."

Stacey whispered in Suzy's ear in a mysterious tone of voice.

"What is it?" Just as Suzy asked with curiosity, she suddenly got dizzy.

She thought to herself, "Damn it. I should have practiced my drinking earlier. Here comes the aftermath..."

Her head was getting dizzier and dizzier, her body hotter and hotter. It was weird.

"Stacey, what was in the drink? I feel so hot," asked Suzy with a frown, and Stacey then shoved a room card into her hand.

"Why don't you get some rest? There is a lot waiting for you tomorrow." Stacey suggested, smiling.

"Okay, then."

Suzy glanced at the number on the room card, then staggered towards the other side.

"Enjoy it, Suzy Sharp."

Stacey said with a smile, but a trace of viciousness flashed across her eyes.

Suzy felt hotter and hotter on the way to the room. When she came to the door, she found that it was open before inserting the card.

"It must be Stacey. She arranged it for me in advance."

She stumbled onto the bed, preparing to sleep, but when she turned over, she touched a sturdy and broad chest!

"Who is here?" The woman became shocked and immediately found that her body had been out of control. Her wrist was held by a man's broad hand, and then she felt the world spin.

The man pressed her under him!

Feeling ashamed and panicked, Suzy hurriedly struggled, but the man's movements became more violent. With the advantage of a male's natural strength, he quickly stripped off her clothes.

Was this the so-called surprise that Stacey had prepared? Except for Suzy, only Hunk could enter the room.

Suddenly, the woman blushed all over.

Although she and Hunk would not become wife and husband until the next day, it was nothing illegal to have sex one night in advance.

Gary Sterling narrowed his eyes, trying to throw this restless woman out of bed. Although he had drained a problematic drink, he was not that horny yet.

Gary was acutely aware that it must be the old man in his family who knew that he was coming back this night and specially arranged the scene for him.

He felt extremely uncomfortable just now. But the woman struggled so hard that he regained his sanity.

In the panic, Suzy's hand accidentally turned on the bedside lamp.

Upon seeing Suzy's face, the look in Gary's eyes changed slightly.

At this moment, Suzy's consciousness was blurred, her cheeks were glowing with charming pink, and her curves were exquisite. Faced with such a beauty, even Gary could not help but freeze for several seconds.

"Who am I?" Gary's eyes became sharp, and he asked in a cold voice while holding down the woman's waving little hands.

Suzy was stunned, wondering why Hunk's voice sounded a little different from usual.

But before she had time to think further, a wave of dizziness came across her head, and a strange feeling rose up in her lower abdomen.

"Hunk..." Her little mouth opened slightly, and even her exhalation carried a fatal temptation!

The look in Gary's eyes was unpredictable, and then he said softly.

"It's okay. I will let you remember who I am, little girl."

Afterward, he turned off the light, and the room was shrouded in darkness again.

"Ouch!" Suzy bit her finger aggrievedly, and the tearing pain instantly spread to every nerve of her.

Early the next morning...

Suzy opened her eyes and felt her whole body falling apart at any moment.

"Wine is such a terrible thing." She tapped her head, and those absurd and exciting pictures of the previous night jumped into her mind.

Suzy had always been an introverted and reserved woman. She felt incredibly embarrassed at the thought of what had happened to her last night.

She blushed and tilted her head to find that the other half of the bed was already empty.

Suzy's expression became gloomy for an instant, but when she thought that Hunk should be busy with wedding-related matters, she felt happy again.

Bang bang bang!

There was a sudden knock on the door.

Suzy hurriedly put on her clothes and walked to the door. Before she could question, the door was pushed open!

Then, a group of people rushed into the room.

"What are you doing?"

At this moment, among the group of people before her, Suzy saw Stacey, her best friend, and Hunk Longman, her fiancé.

The heavy iron gates of the Wilderness Correction Camp groaned as they released me after three years of state-sponsored hell. I stood on the dirt road, clutching a plastic bag that held my entire life, waiting for the family that claimed they sent me there for "rehab." My brother, Brady, picked me up in a luxury SUV only to throw me out onto a deserted highway in the middle of a brewing storm. He told me I was a "public relations nightmare" and that the rain might finally wash the "stink" of the camp off me. He drove away, leaving me to limp miles through the mud on a snapped ankle. When I finally dragged myself to our family estate, my mother didn't offer a hug; she gasped in horror because my muddy clothes were ruining her Italian marble. They didn't give me my old room back. Instead, they banished me to a moldy gardener’s shack and hired a "babysitter" to make sure I didn't embarrass them further. My sister, Kaleigh, stood there in white cashmere, pretending to cry while clinging to her fiancé, Ambrose—the man who had once been mine. They all treated me like a volatile junkie, refusing to acknowledge that Kaleigh was the one who planted the drugs in my bag three years ago. They wanted to believe I was broken so they wouldn't have to feel guilty about the "wellness retreat" that was actually a torture chamber. I sat in the dark of that shed, feeling the cooling gel on the cigarette burns that covered my arms, and realized they had made a fatal mistake. They thought they had erased me, but I had returned with a roadmap of scars and a hidden satellite phone. At dinner, I didn't beg for their love. I simply rolled up my sleeves and showed them the price of their silence. As the wine spilled and the lies crumbled, I sent a single text to the only person I trusted: "I'm in. Let them simmer." The hunt was finally on.

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband’s Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn’t find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn’t even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father’s legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn’s party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara’s health and managing every detail of Caden’s empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I’d drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause—if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I’d forgotten.

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch—a titan of industry and my best friend’s father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.

My five-year-old daughter was dying in the ICU, her heartbeat replaced by the continuous, electronic scream of a flatline. I gripped her cold hand, my throat sealed shut by a terror so absolute I couldn't even cry out. I dialed my husband Grayson's private number, the one reserved only for me and his assistants. He declined the call instantly. A second later, a text buzzed against my palm: "In a meeting. Do not disturb. Stop calling." Five miles away, Grayson was at a luxury gala, adjusting his silk tie and laughing with Belle Escobar. He told her I was just being "dramatic" and using our daughter's "fever" as an excuse to avoid the event. He had no idea Effie's heart had already stopped. When I finally reached our penthouse, soaked from the rain and carrying Effie's small socks in a plastic bag, Grayson didn't even look at me. He snapped at me for ruining the hardwood floors and asked if I'd left Effie with the nanny just to "feel sorry for myself." Three days later, while I buried our daughter in a small, lonely ceremony, Grayson was at the Hamptons. Belle posted a photo of him golfing with the caption: "A mental health day with the boys." He didn't even attend the funeral, but he returned home demanding I clear out Effie's room to make a study for Belle's son. The injustice burned through me until there was nothing left. I swallowed a handful of sleeping pills, desperate to join my daughter. But instead of the darkness, I woke up to blinding lights and the scent of Grayson's expensive cologne. I was standing in a ballroom, wearing a blue silk dress I had already burned. Above me, a banner read: "Happy 5th Birthday Kaiden & Effie." I was back, exactly one year before the tragedy. This time, I wasn't going to be the grieving wife. I was going to be their worst nightmare.
