It's a short story using the myths of the annunaki and the desire of immortality

Chapter 1 Playing God

In the beginning, the world was ruled by the mighty Annunaki, an advanced alien race that descended from the heavens to our planet. They were the creators of mankind, having engineered the human race as a means of producing gold for their own purposes.

As the years passed, the Annunaki grew more and more powerful, building vast cities and monuments that filled the ancient world. They lived for eons, guiding humanity and watching over their creation. However, as time went on, they began to grow tired of their mortal existence, and they began to dream of a way to become immortal themselves.

One day, the wisest and most powerful of the Annunaki, Enki, came up with a plan to create a secret elixir that would grant them eternal life. However, to keep the knowledge of the secret elixir from the humans who served them, Enki created a secret garden, where he and his closest followers could drink the elixir and be forever young.

But Enki's plan eventually unraveled, as the greedy and envious Annunaki began to suspect that he was hiding something from them. They searched the ancient world for the garden of the gods, but they could never find it.

One of the Annunaki, Ea, was particularly obsessed with finding the secret garden, and he became consumed with the desire for immortality. He finally resorted to kidnapping Enki's daughter, the priestess Ninhursag, and he threatened to kill her unless Enki revealed the location of the secret garden.

Enki had no choice but to comply, and Ea and a group of Annunaki finally discovered the garden, and they drank the elixir, becoming immortal like the gods they worshiped. However, their new form of existence did not come without a price- for they were now cursed to exist forever outside the natural order of the world, never aging and detached from the human experience.

As time continued on, the Annunaki began to fade from the memory of humanity, their vast cities and monuments swallowed up by the sands of history. But the legend of the gods who sought immortality lived on, reminding us of the dangers that come with pride and arrogance, and of the price we pay when we try to play the role of gods ourselves.

The kiss grew more passionate as he felt her warm supple body pressing against his chest. He couldn't believe how soft she was. He was gentler this time, making love to her with a slow, languorous pace, pausing now and then to check the expression on her face. Kira was. transported. She no longer felt the fabric of the sheets underneath her. One moment, she was floating in the air, cuddled by cotton candy clouds. The next, she'd become one with a dinghy, bobbing up and down with the undulating waves. His scent enveloped her. He was on top of her, using his arms to support his weight and avoid crushing her. She snuggled up closer to him, safe and snug, cocooned in his warmth. Kira had always marvelled at Austyn's stamina, but he outdid himself tonight. In the midst of overwhelming rapture, Kira still had the presence of mind to broach the subject she'd been meaning to bring up. 'My dad's medical bills.' Austyn paused. He frowned as he looked into those beseeching eyes. 'It'll be taken care of by the end of business day tomorrow,' he said with a bit of an edge in his voice. Kira breathed out. ****** She is a 21-year-old college student who dreams of becoming a journalist. He is the heir of the McCarthy family and president of a business empire. She is bright-eyed and vivacious, a glass-half-full kind of gal. When life throws her a curveball, she knocks it out of the park. He is the archetypal alpha male, aggressive and domineering. Endowed with both brains and brawn, he steamrolls over his enemies and rules his company with an iron fist. The two would never have crossed paths if not for a cruel twist of fate. Kira's world was turned upside down when her father was hospitalised after a car accident. The medical bills were astronomical. Austyn McCarthy offered her a way out. The price: becoming his contract wife. At night, he consummated their marriage but called out another woman's name. Who was she? Why did Austyn marry Kira if he was in love with someone else? Kira was his lawful wife, but she had no right to ask these questions. Then one day, the woman showed up in front of her.

I received a pornographic video. "Do you like this?" The man speaking in the video is my husband, Mark, whom I haven't seen for several months. He is naked, his shirt and pants scattered on the ground, thrusting forcefully on a woman whose face I can't see, her plump and round breasts bouncing vigorously. I can clearly hear the slapping sounds in the video, mixed with lustful moans and grunts. "Yes, yes, fuck me hard, baby," the woman screams ecstatically in response. "You naughty girl!" Mark stands up and flips her over, slapping her buttocks as he speaks. "Stick your ass up!" The woman giggles, turns around, sways her buttocks, and kneels on the bed. I feel like someone has poured a bucket of ice water on my head. It's bad enough that my husband is having an affair, but what's worse is that the other woman is my own sister, Bella. ************************************************************************************************************************ “I want to get a divorce, Mark,” I repeated myself in case he didn't hear me the first time—even though I knew he'd heard me clearly. He stared at me with a frown before answering coldly, "It's not up to you! I'm very busy, don't waste my time with such boring topics, or try to attract my attention!" The last thing I was going to do was argue or bicker with him. "I will have the lawyer send you the divorce agreement," was all I said, as calmly as I could muster. He didn't even say another word after that and just went through the door he'd been standing in front of, slamming it harshly behind him. My eyes lingered on the knob of the door a bit absentmindedly before I pulled the wedding ring off my finger and placed it on the table. I grabbed my suitcase, which I'd already had my things packed in and headed out of the house.
