As soon as the lawyer finished reading the will, the room erupted in gasps and whispers. The late billionaire had left his entire fortune to his estranged daughter, who no one had seen or heard from in years. The only clue to her whereabouts was a cryptic note that read, "Follow the money." The protagonist, a young and ambitious journalist, smelled a story and set out to track down the elusive heiress. She drove for hours, following the map, until she reached a deserted field. She parked her car and got out, scanning the area for any signs of life. That's when she heard a voice behind her. "You made it." She turned around and saw a figure in the shadows, holding a flashlight. "Who are you?" she asked. "I'm the one who sent you the email," the figure said. "I have information about the inheritance. But first, you have to prove yourself."

Sarah hesitated. She had heard this kind of line before, and it never ended well. But she was desperate for a lead, and the figure seemed to know something. "What do you want me to do?" she asked. The figure stepped forward, revealing a face that was partially obscured by a hood. "I need you to solve a riddle," they said. "If you can solve it, I'll give you the information you seek. If not, you're on your own." Sarah felt a surge of frustration. She didn't have time for games. But she also knew that she had come too far to turn back now. "Fine," she said. "What's the riddle?" The figure handed her a slip of paper. "I am not alive, but I grow; I don't have lungs, but I need air; I don't have a mouth, but I need water; What am I?" Sarah read the riddle and felt a pang of anxiety. She wasn't good at riddles, and this one seemed particularly tricky. She racked her brain for a few minutes, trying to come up with an answer, but nothing came to mind. The figure watched her with a hint of amusement. "Time's up," they said. "Do you give up?" Sarah took a deep breath and shook her head. "No," she said. "I don't give up that easily. Let me think for a bit longer." The figure nodded and stepped back into the shadows. Sarah stared at the riddle, determined to solve it. She read it over and over, trying to find a pattern, a clue, anything that would help her. And then, suddenly, it hit her. "The answer is fire," she said, feeling a surge of triumph. The figure stepped forward and nodded. "Well done," they said. "You're smarter than you look. Now, let's talk about the inheritance."
