Please Be Mine Chapter 1 Meeting my prince charming

Maya's Pov

Ohh Gosh!

I groaned in pain trying to get up, l felt someone's hands trying to help me get up, he had spilled his glass of wine on my body which made me very furious

I raised an eyebrow only to see a tall handsome guy standing in front of me... I couldn't help but admire his cute brown eyes, his nicely shaped jaws, and his perfectly structured face, l smiled at him immediately forgetting that l seemed so angry a few minutes ago

"Who is this guy to take my breath away?"l pondered, l have never felt like this or admired any guy like this before but here l am checking a stranger out

His clothes looked quite expensive and I figured out he must be very rich..... I snapped out of my thoughts immediately after l heard his voice

"You should be more careful next time, "he said sternly

Even though he sounded very rude and arrogant, l didn't care because I was busy admiring him all through, his smooth velvet baritone voice was everything to me. I just smiled at him without saying a word.

One of the men behind him stretched out his hands and handed a handkerchief to me.

He left immediately as the two hefty men that looks more like bodyguards walked behind him, l kept wondering who he was and why those men are with him

l had made a reservation earlier with my best friend Arianna, we wanted a girl's time out more like a vacation... l arrived earlier before Arianna so after dropping my bags in the room, l needed a change of cloth since the dress l was wearing earlier got ruined by the handsome stranger and when l was done, l decided to go grab a drink while I wait for her, I was just wearing something casual, l had a mini bum-short on and slightly transparent top which showed my round breast

I kept on reminiscing on what happened earlier, and the thought of seeing him again went through my head, l couldn't wait to tell Ariana all about the stranger who took my breath away....l have never for once thought I will be crazy about a guy this way.l sat down and signaled the waiter to come take my order, l requested a glass of Bourbon and was waiting patiently for it.

"Hey girl "Ariana's voice echoed behind me

I turned to see Ariana smiling at me, she has been my best friend since childhood, we did everything together, she's this crazy type of person, fun to be with, and she always looks out for me...l grinned at her and she grabbed a seat and sat beside me....l signaled at the waiter to make another order for Arianna

"Another glass of Bourbon please, "l said, since we both loved Bourbon....l turned my attention back to Ariana, She was looking at me like she knew l had something to say

"Spill it already, "she said, grinning from ear to ear.

"Well l saw my prince charming today, "l said with my face beaming with smiles, l went on and on about the stranger, Arianna always listens to me, well l guess that's why we are friends.

"You have a secret crush now huh," She said still gazing at me

I nodded in confirmation, grinning like a Cheshire cat

Even though I didn't know much about the stranger but for some reason I was convinced that I will see him again....my thoughts were interrupted when the waiter arrived with the order, we sipped our drinks while we kept talking and soon it was time to go to our rooms

As we moved towards the receptionist to get our keys....l suddenly heard people laughing loudly, l turned to see the handsome stranger that l couldn't get off my mind kissing a girl passionately, l felt a sharp pain in my heart, Ariana noticed how unease l was, she grabbed my hands and we moved towards our rooms

We had separate rooms, but Ariana followed me to my room seeing l was hurt, she tried to calm me down, but l didn't know if l was mad at him or angry at myself that a stranger has so much effect on me...after some time Ariana went to her room

I couldn't sleep, that was nothing new.

I usually stay up late to watch movies or read books but this night it was different, l was lying on the bed staring at the ceiling reminiscing on what happened earlier, l wondered who that bitch he was kissing was.

"Could that be his girlfriend"l pondered

I don't care l sighed, l want him to be all mine and that's all that matters

The Fallen Heiress's Debt to the Billionaire

Shen Xiyan

I was once the princess of the Upper East Side, but now I’m just "debt wrapped in pretty skin." To keep my father alive in a federal penitentiary, I signed a contract I didn't fully understand. I thought it was about restoring my family's name, but producer Barnett Orr treated it like a bill of sale for my soul. Inside his limousine, the air smelled like gasoline and fear. Barnett didn't want a star; he wanted a victim. He bruised my jaw and ripped my vintage silk gown to shreds, laughing because he knew I couldn't fight back without signing my father's death warrant. "Don't forget who owns you, Felicity," he whispered. When he dragged me into Dewitt Knight’s penthouse party, I was a walking disaster. I huddled in Barnett’s oversized jacket, my lip bleeding and my spirit shattered. The elite crowd didn't see a victim; they saw a fallen girl selling herself for a role. A former rival poured red wine over me, and the room erupted in cruel laughter while Barnett told everyone he was just "testing my commitment." I looked up at the balcony, locking eyes with Dewitt Knight. He was a god in a bespoke suit, looking down at me with cold, lethal disgust. He didn't see the bruises or the desperation. He only saw a transaction he found beneath him. "So the rumors are true," he said, his voice cutting through the music. "The Aguilars really will do anything for money now. Even this." I was trapped between a monster who wanted to break me and a man who thought I was trash. No one cared that my father's life depended on my silence. When Barnett cornered me in a guest room later that night, his belt jingling like a death knell, I realized no one was coming to save a girl like me. I fought back with a crystal vase, shattering it against his shoulder, but I was drowning in my own terror. Just as Barnett lunged for my throat, the door was kicked off its hinges. Dewitt stood there, finally seeing the blood on the carpet and the map of purple bruises on my bare back. He chased the monster away, but I didn't feel safe. I locked the guest room door, wedged a chair under the handle, and slept with a silver letter opener pressed against my skin. When I crept into the kitchen at midnight and found him waiting in the shadows, I aimed the blade at his heart. "In this house, no one hurts you," he promised, his voice a low velvet rumble. But in a world where I had already been sold once, I knew that even protection came with a price I couldn't afford to pay.

The Billionaire's Secret Triplets: Mom's Revenge

HONEY MULLINS

Six years ago, I was a naive girl sold by my father to the powerful Sanders estate, only to be tossed onto the streets after a brutal assault they labeled "marital infidelity." I fled the country pregnant and broken, hiding from the shadow of a husband I had never even met. Now, I've returned to New York with my triplets to sign the final divorce papers and disappear forever. But Archibald Sanders-the man I was told was a crippled recluse-intercepted us with the cold precision of a predator. He didn't see the woman his family destroyed; he saw a gold-digger who had shamed his name. His security team hunted us to a grimy motel, using tactical force to snatch my children away and drag me to his glass-walled empire. In his office, he loomed over me, demanding a DNA test and threatening to throw me in prison while my babies were lost to the foster system. He was convinced I'd cheated, yet he stared at my sons with a haunting confusion, unable to ignore the stormy blue eyes that were a perfect mirror of his own. I stood there, paralyzed by his scent-the sharp tang of rain and expensive leather that triggered the icy dread of my worst nightmares. How could he accuse me of betrayal when he felt exactly like the monster who had shattered my life in that dark hotel room? "I'll sign anything," I sobbed, "just give me my kids." But the game changed when my five-year-old son hacked the tower's security, holding the skyscraper hostage to save me. In the chaos, a fragile, silent boy-Archibald's secret son-wandered into the room and reached for me as if I were his missing soul. Archibald's face turned to stone as he tore up the agreement and locked the doors. "Until I find out why my son is looking at you like that," he growled, "you aren't going anywhere."

Landslide

My bank account showed exactly $42.18, and my student loan notifications were flashing red. I lived in a sweltering Queens apartment with my Aunt Lydia, where the air was thick with the smell of stale frying oil and the constant threat of being homeless. Lydia handed me a grainy photo of a man twice my age and told me she had already "sold" me to him. He was a dry cleaner looking for a wife, and in exchange for my hand, he would pay off her credit cards and my debt. If I didn't show up for the date that night, my boxes would be on the curb by midnight. I arrived at the cafe in a state of panic, my selective mutism making it impossible to even breathe. In the crowded room, I accidentally sat at the wrong table. Instead of the man from the photo, I found myself facing Gerhard Holcomb—the cold, terrifyingly handsome billionaire whose family owned the very museum where I worked. He didn't send me away; instead, he studied my trembling hands and offered me a different deal: a two-year contract marriage, a two-million-dollar payout, and a strict clause forbidding any children. I signed the papers and moved into his Park Avenue penthouse, thinking I was finally safe. But when I went back to the old apartment to retrieve the only memento of my dead parents, Lydia lashed out, leaving me bleeding from a head wound. Gerhard’s retaliation was absolute—he had her arrested and her building foreclosed on within hours, claiming he was simply "protecting his assets." As I recovered in his silent, glass-walled home, I saw a call from a famous socialite flash on his phone, and a cold truth settled in my gut. I wasn't just a wife; I was a placeholder, a silent shield used to fend off the women from his past. I looked at the massive pink diamond on my finger and realized the silence I had lived in my whole life was about to become my most expensive prison. I had traded a life of poverty for a high-stakes game of shadows, and now I had to survive the man who claimed to own me.

He Thought I Was A Doormat, Until I Ruined Him

SHANA GRAY

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.
