Chapter 1 1

A pair of heels clicked on the tiled floor aggressively, the steps portrayed the anger of the bride walking in her wedding attire. Her face was twisted into a frown, a fierce fire could be seen burning in her eyes as she paddled her walk across the hall. Her Red hair scattered behind her as she matched the veil hanging at the tip with just a pin, the beautiful hair that had once been styled into a beautiful bun with jewelry was loosened and messed up.

Her eyes flashed with a dangerous glint as she passed through various rooms, she wasn't the innocent lady from a few hours back. All her dreams were shattered into bits, and the fairy tales she had about love were all shattered into broken pieces.

At that moment she lost her innocence and naivety, She finally located room 305 which was written in the message sent to her, her friend Mila from Country A had sent her various videos of her so-called fiancee, soon-to-be groom, and the love of her life. In one of the videos, she had caught a gleam of him with her sister in the wedding hall going somewhere.

Alice pushed the door slightly open still having a little bit of hope that whatever she saw was not true, but the moment she opened the door her world crashed into pieces. She saw her soon-to-be husband making out with her sister with lewd sounds coming from them, tears threatened to fall from her beautiful blue eyes but she held them back refusing to shed tears for a Cheater for him.

She stared at them as they continued their sex without taking note of her standing behind them,

They both continued engaging in sex without taking notice of Vina Dennison taking photos of them and videos too, they both felt so immense in themselves. Vina snorted which went unheard by them both, Vina picked up a vase from the doorpost and smashed it on the floor jolting them out of their reverie.

"Liars, betrayer!!! You both cheated on me. How dare you!" Alice yelled glaring at the both of them with angry eyes.

Jade Brooks and Sophia Dennison both stared at Alix with wide eyes, "It's not what you think Alice, you saw wrong. It's not what you think." Sophia yelled crawling away from Jade.

"It's not what you think Alice, listen to us. It's not really what you think it is." Jade said trying to defend themselves but it was too late, Alice shut the door on their faces and locked them inside the room.

Vina leaned down on the wall, the tears finally fell out of her eyes. She cried silently continuously for 10 minutes without making a sound, she did not want to make them think they had defeated her.

"It's all your fault, she caught us..."

"It is both our faults and not mine, I never forced you into this."

"Everything is ruined, everything is ruined now..."

Alice silently enjoyed their shouting at each other ( Sophia Dennison and Jade Brooks ), her perfect wedding and life had been ruined in one day. All she waited for and put in effort for in years all turned into dust leaving her broken and heartened, her makeup and beautiful face were stained with tears.

After a while she pushed herself away from the floor and wiped off the tears from her face, she picked up her phone and made a call to her friend overseas.

"Mila thank you so much for opening my eyes, I don't know what to do right now am so lost...." Alice Dennison cried to Mila,

"You don't have to be sad Alice, am always here for you. I think it's time you stopped being timid and shy, get yourselves together, and teach those asses a lesson. Am sorry for ruining your marriage tho.." Mila muttered in a guilty tone, also trying to cheer Alice up.

"I know what to do now Mila, thanks a lot. Ciao." Alice said before ending the phone call, her eyes flashed with determination as she took the nearest elevator to the hall where her wedding was supposed to take place.

On her way, she posted videos and photos of her sister and ex-fiancee making out on her social media, with a caption saying "Cheaters forever. Wedding canceled." Immediately views, likes, and comments flooded her social media account but she turned off her phone.

When the elevator chimed Alice picked up her flowy gown and made her way to the stage, she took the mic phone from the pastor who was supposed to officiate the wedding and stated in a loud tone

"Ladies and Gentlemen, I am sorry to announce this to you but the wedding is off. There's no wedding happening here today so go home people."

Alice screamed out loud before walking towards the bar area to get some drinks, only a bottle of cool wine and alcohol could calm her head right now.

When Alice was done with her announcement murmurs instantly filled the hall with the guest bashing her for making them gifts to the party when no wedding was happening.

"Hey! We want a refund for our money." One screamed from the side. "Yes yes! We want our gifts back from the Dennison family, you tricked us." Another echoed but Alice turned a deaf ear to all their shouts and complaints gulping down her sorrows. The people continued screaming and bashing her harshly.

"Alice Dennison, what's the meaning of this? What happening? Why did you call off the wedding so suddenly?" Dennison Jia, Alice's mother asked with a worried expression on her face. She was standing there with her husband behind her and the parents of Jade Brook too, Jia Dennison slowly placed a palm on Alice Dennison's back.

She knew her daughter had always been reasonable and never did anything without a reason, Alice slowly turned to her family and almost all Family members. She slowly opened her phone and placed the video of Sophia and Jade banging one another on her wedding day.

"What is this?? What is going on here??"

Jia Dennison took the phone from Alice and stared at it with wide eyes, she passed the phone to her husband who also became furious. Her eyes became watery thinking how her one daughter had ruined the life of the other.

"Room number 305, you will find them there. Here's the key." Alice said placing the keys in her mother's hand before turning to continue drinking. Being alone in the room made her more depressed as only the images of her sister and her man in bed flashed in her mind.

Alice found her way out of the room still in her heavy wedding dress. Trying to lift her gown when she walked out of the room, she bumped into someone and apologized before going to the bar. There, she found a stool by the counter and settled down before telling the bartender what she wanted. If the bartender wasn't there, she'd have taken any alcohol she saw and drank until she had had enough.

The bartender attended to her without asking any questions. With those images still in her mind, she filled a glass and gulped it only to grimace her face and swallow. Lifting her eyelids, she saw the man she bumped into earlier, and suddenly a thought settled in her mind.

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch—a titan of industry and my best friend’s father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.

For seventeen years, I was the crown jewel of the Kensington empire, the perfect daughter groomed for a royal future. Then, a cream-colored envelope landed in my lap, bearing a gold crest and a truth that turned my world into ice. The DNA test result was a cold, hard zero percent-I wasn't a Kensington. Before the ink could even dry, my parents invited my replacement, a girl named Alleen, into the drawing room and treated me like a trespasser in my own home. My mother, who once hosted galas in my honor, wouldn't even look me in the eye as she stroked Alleen's arm, whispering that she was finally "safe." My father handed me a one-million-dollar check-a mere tip for a billionaire-and told me to leave immediately to avoid tanking the company's stock price. "You're a thief! You lived my life, you spent my money, and you don't get to keep the loot!" Alleen shrieked, trying to claw the designer jacket off my shoulders while my "parents" watched with clinical detachment. I was dumped on a gritty sidewalk in Queens with nothing but three trunks and the address of a struggling laborer I was now supposed to call "Dad." I traded a marble mansion for a crumbling walk-up where the air smelled of exhaust and my new bedroom was a literal storage closet. My biological family thought I was a broken princess, and the Kensingtons thought they had successfully erased me with a payoff and a non-disclosure agreement. They had no idea that while I was hauling trunks up four flights of stairs, my secret media empire was already preparing to move against them. As I sat on a thin mattress in the dark, I opened my encrypted laptop and sent a single command that would cost my former father ten million dollars by breakfast. They thought they were throwing me to the wolves, but they forgot one thing: I'm the one who leads the pack.
