Chapter 1 First Day at work

"Disha," her mother's gentle voice broke through the early morning silence, signaling the beginning of a new chapter in Disha's life as she prepared to step into the bustling world of work.

"Disha, wake up, it's your first day at the office. Time to get going," Disha's mother gently nudged her awake.

Disha slowly opened her eyes and, upon seeing her mother, offered a sweet smile. "Good morning, Mom," she said softly.

Her mother continued with a warm smile, "Get ready quickly, beta. I've made your favorite breakfast." With those words, she left the room.

As Disha looked at herself in the mirror, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. "A new beginning," she whispered to herself before heading to the bathroom to freshen up.

After a refreshing shower, Disha dressed in a subtle light green kurta paired with white leggings. With a simple and light makeup, she admired her reflection in the mirror and smiled, satisfied with her appearance. Ready to embark on her new journey, she left her room and made her way downstairs to the living area.

Disha immediately went to the home temple, folded her hands in prayer, and performed her morning rituals with her parents before sitting down at the dining table for breakfast.

"Today, I'll drop you off at the office, beta," Disha's father offered.

"No, Dad, you'll get late. I'll take the bus," Disha replied.

"Nothing is more important than you, beta. Don't worry, I'll manage," her father insisted.

Disha smiled and nodded in response.

After breakfast, Disha left for the office with her father.

"How many times do I have to tell you that as soon as I step out, I need my coffee?" Aryan snapped at his PA Rohit as soon as they disembarked from the private jet.

"Sorry, sir. I'll get it right away," Rohit replied nervously, rushing towards the airport cafe.

While Rohit hurried to fetch the coffee, Aryan glanced over some important papers while leaving the VIP section of the airport and settling into the back seat of his car. As he relaxed, Rohit arrived with the coffee and handed it to him, saying, "Sir, your black coffee."

Aryan took a sip, his soul seemingly content, a sense of tranquility washing over his face.

"Are you planning to stand here all day?" Aryan snapped at Rohit, who was still standing outside the car.

The PA quickly took the hint and moved to the passenger seat, settling in beside driver.

Once the car was in motion, the PA, with a hint of apprehension, inquired, "Sir, would you prefer to head home or to the office?"

Aryan raised his eyes from his laptop, fixing the PA with a serious look, conveying his preference without the need for words.

The PA, lost in thought, ponders over his boss's relentless dedication, working day and night for the past month in New York to close impending deals. Despite having the opportunity to go home, Aryan chooses to head to the office instead. While it may seem unusual to others, the PA understands Aryan's fervor for work, finding it admirable rather than strange. He instructs the driver to take the car towards the office, knowing that Aryan's commitment to his work is unwavering.

Disha bid farewell to her father with a warm hug, promising to see him later. "Bye dad, I'll see you later. Take care," she said, her voice tinged with excitement for her first day at the IT firm.

"Goodbye, beta. Have a fantastic first day!" her father replied, his voice filled with pride and encouragement as he watched her walk towards the bustling office building.

As the scent of coffee filled the air, Disha weaved through the corridors of the bustling office, her anticipation palpable with each step.

After reporting to her designated manager, Disha made her way to her desk, guided by her manager's instructions.

Settling at her desk, adorned with a potted plant and a cherished family photo, she felt a sense of belonging amidst the sounds of keyboards clicking and friendly laughter.

With a deep breath, she powered up her computer, eager to embark on this new chapter of her career. Little did she know, the day held surprises that would shape the beginning of her journey in the corporate world.

On Disha's inaugural day at the office, the dynamic shifted with the arrival of two new faces: Vishal and Aditi. Their entrance injected a fresh energy into the workplace, setting the stage for an eventful day ahead.

"Hi there, I'm Aditi," Aditi introduced herself with a chuckle. "Your office neighbor, I suppose."

Disha, smiling warmly, responded, "Nice to meet you, Aditi. I'm Disha. It's my first day here, so I'm still learning the ropes."

Aditi gestured towards the desk adjacent to Disha's and quipped, "Well, that's my desk. I guess that makes me your neighbor."

Vishal, joining in the conversation, added, "Ignore her, she's always full of nonsense. Hey, I'm Vishal."

Disha smiled at Vishal's comment, feeling grateful for the friendly banter on her first day. As they settled into their respective desks, they immersed themselves in their work, while Aditi's lighthearted chatter continued in the background.

Throughout the day, Vishal and Aditi became Disha's go-to companions in the bustling office. They chatted during coffee breaks, shared stories, and offered helpful workplace advice, creating a sense of camaraderie that brightened Disha's day.

As time went on, their bond grew stronger, providing Disha with a supportive network and shared experiences.

As Disha, Aditi, and Vishal step out of the office building, the bustling city greets them with its lively atmosphere. Aditi turns to Disha with a hint of concern in her voice, "I hope I didn't bother you too much today?"

Disha reassures her with a warm smile, "Not at all, Aditi. You've been a great help."

With a wave goodbye, Disha sets off towards her home, feeling grateful for the camaraderie she's found on her first day at the office.

Disha, determined to make her first day even more memorable, stops by a bakery to buy a cake. With her favorite song playing in her ears, she heads towards her home, lost in thoughts about her day at the office.

Disha's arrival home after her first day at the office was met with warmth and celebration from her family. Her mother had prepared a feast of Disha's favorite dishes, which they savored together at the dinner table.

Disha's mother, beaming with pride, exclaimed, "Disha, beta, tell us all about your first day at the office. We're eager to hear!"

Disha, still bubbling with excitement, replied, "Oh, Mom, it was incredible! The office is amazing, and everyone was so welcoming. I can't wait to go back tomorrow!"

Her father chimed in, "That's wonderful to hear, beta. We're so proud of you."

As they enjoyed their meal, laughter filled the air, creating an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie.

After dinner, Disha surprised her family with a cake she had brought to commemorate her milestone day

"Disha, this cake looks delicious! What's the occasion?" her mother exclaimed.

"It's to celebrate my first day at the office!" Disha announced proudly, cutting a slice for her parents.

After indulging in the cake, they exchanged goodnight wishes as they prepared to retire for the night.

"Goodnight, everyone. Thank you for celebrating with me," Disha said, hugging her parents.

"Sleep well, beta. We're so happy for you," her mother replied, her eyes reflecting pride and love.

Later, as Disha lay on her bed, she reflected on her aspirations and the journey ahead.

"I can't believe I'm finally starting my career journey. I have so much to learn and achieve," she thought to herself, determination shining in her eyes.

She contemplated the possibilities that lay before her, determined to work hard and carve out a successful career path. With a sense of purpose and determination, she envisioned making her parents proud through her achievements.

Little did Disha know, her life was on the brink of unexpected twists and turns that would challenge her perceptions and lead her down paths she had never imagined. Despite her plans, the future held surprises that would shape her journey in ways she couldn't foresee.

Aryan wrapped up his work by 11 pm and headed home, the gates of the mansion swinging open as his car approached. The grandeur of the mansion loomed in front of him, its imposing structure a testament to his family's status.

Entering the living room, he was greeted by the warm glow of lights, but also by the concerned expressions of his parents.

Nita, Aryan's mother, with a mix of affection and worry, questioned, ""Aryan, you've returned after so many days. Couldn't you have taken a day off today?"

"Aryan, you are really pushing yourself too hard," Raj, Aryan's father, expressed with a concerned tone as they sat in the living room of their mansion. "Work is important, but so is your health."

Aryan, still wearing his business attire, nodded in acknowledgment. He could see the genuine worry in his father's eyes, which mirrored the sentiments of his mother, Nita, who sat nearby with a concerned expression.

"I know, Dad," Aryan replied with a reassuring smile. "I understand the importance of balancing work and health. It's just been a busy time lately, but I'll manage."

Raj, though comforted by Aryan's response, couldn't shake off the worry. He exchanged a glance with Nita, silently conveying their shared concern for their son's well-being.

Abhi, Aryan's younger brother, approached him with a warm hug, excitement gleamed in his eyes as he asked eagerly, "Bhai, where's my gift? I've been waiting for it!"

Aryan chuckled, returning his brother's embrace before replying, "It's in your room, Abhi. I've already sent it there."

"Awesome, thanks, bhai!" Abhi exclaimed with a wide grin, already looking forward to discovering his gift. With that settled, he joined the rest of the family at the dining table, where the tantalizing aroma of food filled the air.

As they all sat down, laughter and animated conversation filled the room, punctuated by the clinking of cutlery and the occasional burst of joyous laughter. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, enveloping them in a sense of familial comfort and togetherness as they shared stories, jokes, and fond memories.

Once dinner concluded, everyone began to make their way to their respective rooms. However, before Aryan could leave, his father Raj called out to him, causing him to pause in his tracks.

Raj's voice carried a weight of concern as he addressed Aryan, "We're deeply concerned about your well-being, son. That's why we keep reminding you to take care of yourself." Aryan, grateful for his father's sentiments, nodded in acknowledgment.

Upon entering his room, Aryan's face lit up with a smile as he opened the cupboard. Retrieving a wooden box from inside, he revealed a photograph of himself happily intertwined with a beautiful lady. However, the sight of their joyous expressions triggered a sudden shift in Aryan's demeanor. With a decisive gesture, he closed the box, his smile replaced by an undercurrent of anger.

Placing the box back into the cupboard, Aryan exited the room, seeking solace in the shower. The grandeur of the mansion bore witness to the intricate emotions swirling within Aryan during these moments of quiet contemplation.

In another room, Nita and Raj, Aryan's parents, exchanged concerned glances as they discussed his workaholic behavior.

The grandeur of the mansion seemed to fade away in the shadows of their worries. Nita, with furrowed brows, expressed, "Raj, I'm really worried about Aryan. This constant work and that smile... it hides so much pain."

Raj, reflecting the concern in his wife's eyes, sighed and replied, "I know, Nita. It's been tough on him, especially after... you know."

Nita, with a determined look, suggested, "Maybe it's time we think about his happiness. What if we consider finding the right girl for him? Marriage might bring a positive change in his life."

Raj, contemplating the idea, responded, "You might be right. Aryan needs someone who can bring joy back into his life. Let's think about this carefully."

The worry in their voices painted a poignant picture of parents concerned for their son's well-being, eager to bring light back into his world.
