"Are you that heartless? Why would you want to destroy my brother's life for your selfish purposes?" Violet asked, tears flowing freely on her cheek. "Heartless? I can say that about you too! I have to watch my son deteriorate because he thinks you are his mother! Do you think I want to marry you in the first place?" He mocked, in anger. " That doesn't justify the fact that you are forcing me to get married to you! I will not! And I will get my brother out of prison with or without your help! I think I made a big mistake coming here in the first place," Violet refused, this time she was determined to leave. Violet's world came tumbling over when she was forcefully offered a marriage contract in exchange for her brother's life. Having saved the life of the little grand heir of the Clarksville's family, she was stuck in their world by the ruthless heir, Jason Clarksville. It wasn't her fault that his son was thinking she was his mother! But that wasn't what Jason thought as he was hellbent on giving his son what he needed. And that was Violet Myers as his mother! And for that she needed to get married to him. How could she get married to the grandson of her family's enemy? She wasn't going to be Mrs. Clarksville! That would be over her dead body. But what would happen when her only brother was stuck in-between the plots? Will she agree or will she stick to her decision even if it might cost her brother's life? She had no choice but to agree as she had to save her brother. What would happen when the once detested marriage began to bloom into an orchid of love? Will the external forces make them thrive to make it real or will it cause them to hold on to the contract? Find out in this mind-blowing story.

Mr. President Contracted Marriage Chapter 1 Prologue

"Violet, go and serve room 509 the refreshment they ordered!" A male voice barked out an order in anger.

" Yes, Manager Poo- Porter!" A young vibrant girl said, rolling her eyes unknown to the chubby man who just ordered her.

The girl's eyes traced the chubby manager until he left, then she sighed heavily. She hated going to those rooms especially at this hour of the night. But she has no choice, she needed to make money.

" Val, you just have to do it for this month so you can pay for your final year tuition fee. Don't you want to be the paediatrician you always wanted?"

" Of course I need to take care of those cuties!"

Violet's emerald eyes rolled again as she sighed once more before turning to look at the person who just spoke.

" I understand I need the money, Joe. What I don't understand is you coming here to work too," she asked, looking at the young man.

Joe was her best friend she met while studying. They had been together and he knows how she was struggling to meet up with her tuition fee. Her family had been through a financial crisis with a big name in the city and since then, Violet had been working to pay her fees and that of her brother too.

" I need extra cash too. Do you think my parents are so wealthy?" Joe asked, scoffing.

" Whatever! I need to go before I get sacked!"

Violet hurried away from Joe.

She stopped between the two rooms. Her eyes staring at the falling template on the door. She couldn't tell if it was 506 or 509. She was still contemplating when the door flung open and a strong hand pulled her in. It was too dark- darker than even the fear eating her away.

So dark that she couldn't make out who it was. Only his strong masculine scent wafted through her nose.

"What-"

"You came back- I am sorry for everything!"

"I am not-"

The door made a loud bang behind her and before she could do anything more, the same appealing masculine scent wafted through her nose and her lips was captured in a hot kiss.

All attempt failed as the night became a long one for her.

That one serving that night became the most horrifying time of her life. It was so horrifying that she shut that memory away and all that was left was the Violet she wanted to become.

Doctor Violet Myers.

I had just survived a private jet crash, my body a map of violet bruises and my lungs still burning from the smoke. I woke up in a sterile hospital room, gasping for my husband's name, only to realize I was completely alone. While I was bleeding in a ditch, my husband, Adam, was on the news smiling at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. When I tracked him down at the hospital's VIP wing, I didn't find a grieving husband. I found him tenderly cradling his ex-girlfriend, Casie, in his arms, his face lit with a protective warmth he had never shown me as he carried her into the maternity ward. The betrayal went deeper than I could have imagined. Adam admitted the affair started on our third anniversary-the night he claimed he was stuck in London for a merger. Back at the manor, his mother had already filled our planned nursery with pink boutique bags for Casie's "little princess." When I demanded a divorce, Adam didn't flinch. He sneered that I was "gutter trash" from a foster home and that I'd be begging on the streets within a week. To trap me, he froze my bank accounts, cancelled my flight, and even called the police to report me for "theft" of company property. I realized then that I wasn't his partner; I was a charity case he had plucked from obscurity to manage his life. To the Hortons, I was just a servant who happened to sleep in the master bedroom, a "resilient" woman meant to endure his abuse in silence while the whole world laughed at the joke that was my marriage. Adam thought stripping me of his money would make me crawl back to him. He was wrong. I walked into his executive suite during his biggest deal of the year and poured a mug of sludge over his original ten-million-dollar contracts. Then, right in front of his board and his mistress, I stripped off every designer thread he had ever paid for until I was standing in nothing but my own silk camisole. "You can keep the clothes, Adam. They're as hollow as you are." I grabbed my passport, turned my back on his billions, and walked out of that glass tower barefoot, bleeding, and finally free.

I went to the New York City Clerk's office to handle a simple administrative matter, but the woman behind the glass handed me a nightmare instead. It was a certified marriage license from Clark County, Nevada, filed exactly three months ago. My vision blurred as I read the name in the spouse field: Baxter Noel. I was legally married to the ruthless billionaire whose legal team was currently suing me for intellectual property theft and trying to destroy my career. I remembered the conference in Las Vegas and a drink that tasted far too sweet, followed by a twelve-hour black hole in my memory that I had chalked up to exhaustion. When I sought help at my family's estate, my stepmother and sister didn't offer comfort; they stole my passport, shredded my clothes, and framed me for academic plagiarism to strip away my university fellowship. Even Baxter himself looked me in the eye with cold indifference, claiming he didn't know me and promising to have me arrested for fraud if I ever showed him that document again. Within twenty-four hours, I was homeless, jobless, and being hunted by the most powerful man in the city. I couldn't understand why a man who "eats people for breakfast" would be caught in the same trap as a struggling scientist like me. The confusion turned to pure terror when I looked at the witness signature on the license: Gene Mcclain. My mother, who was supposed to have died in a car crash ten years ago, had signed that paper with a fresh, trembling hand only ninety days ago. "I am holding a grenade, and I have no idea when the pin was pulled." Standing in the biting November wind with nothing but a laptop and a marriage license, I realized I was just a pawn in a much deadlier game. I stopped running and began to fight back, determined to use my unwanted status as the billionaire's wife to uncover the truth about the mother who came back from the dead.
