Chapter 1 The Sassy Step Mother

'What the fucking crazy are you doing, huh?!'

Even though he was furious, he could not shout his anger. He just lowered his voice and immediately looked around. He acted cautiously because he was afraid that someone would see his current situation.

'I'm just seduced by your sexy body, Liam.'

The anger of that handsome man with a tall and perfectly built body became more and more. Even after she shamelessly touched Liam's body, which was only wrapped in a towel, that hot and beautiful woman caressed Liam's bare chest which still had a few drops of water remaining from his shower.

'Didn't you leave your bedroom door unlocked and leave a gap in that door...You did that just so I could come in and see you like this, Liam?' She asked, acting even crazier by bringing her hand to touch Liam's genitals, which were only covered by the towel.

'Stop this fucking shit!! Or I will throw you out of this house!' Liam said fiercely, while roughly throwing away the woman's hand. But unfortunately, the woman didn't seem afraid and instead laughed at Liam's threat. 'You can't take me out, Liam Lawson. How could you chase away your mother who is pregnant with your father's child, huh?'

Liam wanted to get rid of the woman so badly. But as the woman mentioned before, he couldn't get it out that crazy woman, who was his father's young wife, or who was his stepmother.

How disgusting that must have been for Liam. Even when he wanted to get rid of that crazy woman from before him, he could only hold back his anger so he wouldn't unleash it on his crazy stepmother. 'Say hello to your little brother, Liam Lawson. he will become the new Lawson family with you.' her behavior is getting worse. She said this while bringing Liam's hand to stroke her stomach, which began to grow due to her pregnancy.

'Go away, Rose'! Or I will make this baby in your stomach disappear!'

Liam threatened to immediately leave Rose', who had dared to sneak into his bathroom.

'Just try, I know a man like you could never do something like that, Liam.'

'Young Master, everyone is waiting at the dining table.'

He did not immediately answer it. He just continued to stare at his reflection in the mirror, with his face still very angry about the previous incident. He was indeed a young master. To be precise, a very handsome and charming young master. Anyone will immediately fall in love and be captivated by his godlike good looks.

Including the young woman whom Liam's father suddenly married. Since then, Liam Lawson's relationship with his dad, Eric Lawson, a famous billionaire in this era, immediately fell apart. Liam would never agree to their marriage. He certainly wouldn't think of her as his second mother. She's just a crazy woman who wants wealth and a luxurious life from marrying his father.

'Tell them, I'll go straight to the company,' said Liam. He immediately grabbed his briefcase, ready to leave.

'But young master, your father will go berserk if you continue to be evasive like this,' the loyal servant at Liam's house reminded him. She just didn't want there to be another fight between the son and father again.

'Listen, Mary, I'd rather be scolded than sit with that crazy whore.' Liam replied firmly and immediately walked towards the exit of his house which looked like a palace.

But, it wasn't that easy for him to leave the house and avoid his father and his new wife who he really hated.

Liam was stopped right in front of the main door leaving his house.

'You're so impolite! You don't respect me and my wife, Liam!'

Liam just chuckled in annoyance and looked away from Eric, who had just shouted at him like that.

'Don't scold Liam like that, he's just uncomfortable with my presence, honey.'

Liam laughed, actually laughing at Rose, who had just defended him. Liam knew very well the rotten tricks of his father's new wife.

'You are well aware that you have made the young master of this house uncomfortable, so why are you still here, bitch?' Liam muttered sarcastically like that. And though he spoke in a low voice, his father and stepmother, who had just been called a bitch, could quite hear it.

'LIAM! How dare you!'

Liam was too used to it. He was no longer afraid. He even acted annoyingly like that on purpose. It had become his habit to always criticize Rose. Then angers his father, and leaves acting as if he doesn't care.

The son of the richest Billionaire of this era, who is also the successor to the group of many companies he owns, has become a dissident and always acts stubbornly.

'Where are you going, bastard?!'

Liam didn't care anymore. He just got into his car and drove quickly, leaving Eric and Rose' who were burning with their anger.

'Oh, God! What did I do wrong? Why does your son dislike me so much? What should I do, darling?' Rose suddenly acted as if she was sad about Liam's attitude. And of course, Eric responded by feeling guilty towards his wife.

'I'm so sorry about his behavior. Liam still finds it difficult to forget his mother and needs time to accept you, Rose'...'

Rose's act became increasingly dramatic. She sobbed in Eric's arms. However, it was just fake. It's all pretend. She was quite good at manipulating the man who had raised her from a brothel to become a billionaire queen.

'What should I do to make you stop being sad, Rose'?'

'Do you want to shop with me? Or are we planning a trip to a tropical island? You can't be sad during this period of your pregnancy...'

Rose secretly grinned quite happily at the results of her acting in front of Eric, who easily believed her.

'Um... maybe I should visit a beautiful place. So, I can forget about this incident...'

'Okay, say all you want. I'll give it to you, my darling.'

Rose managed to win Eric's heart again and used him for her pleasure.

'I saw Rose enter the young master's room. She was seducing Young Master Liam again. How shameless that woman is. Even though she was pregnant with Young Master Liam's father's child.'

Mary said that to the servant who serves Eric.

'As I thought, she was just a crazy bitch! She is not interested in Mr. Eric but in his very handsome son. Because how can a young woman like her like a 50-year-old man like our master?

Both Marry and Cecilia already knew about the crazy behavior of their master's new wife. Rose's behavior was too obvious even though she was only acting behind her husband. But all the servants knew she was like a cunning snake poisonous. 'Last time she slipped in and lay down next to Young Master Liam. She's such a seductive bitch. How poor our Liam is.'

But unfortunately, what Marry and Cecilia had just talked about, reached Rose's ears. She was quite angry with the two servants in her husband's magnificent house. Until she decided not to stay silent and would make sure no more servants gossiped about her.

'They will ruin my relationship with Eric if they continue to spread gossip like that.'

Rain hammered against the asphalt as my sedan spun violently into the guardrail on the I-95. Blood trickled down my temple, stinging my eyes, while the rhythmic slap of the windshield wipers mocked my panic. Trembling, I dialed my husband, Clive. His executive assistant answered instead, his voice professional and utterly cold. "Mr. Wilson says to stop the theatrics. He said, and I quote, 'Hang up. Tell her I don’t have time for her emotional blackmail tonight.'" The line went dead while I was still trapped in the wreckage. At the hospital, I watched the news footage of Clive wrapping his jacket around his "fragile" ex-girlfriend, Angelena, shielding her from the storm I was currently bleeding in. When I returned to our penthouse, I found a prenatal ultrasound in his suit pocket, dated the day he claimed to be on a business trip. Instead of an apology, Clive met me with a sneer. He told me I was nothing but an "expensive decoration" his father bought to make him look stable. He froze my bank accounts and cut off my cards, waiting for the hunger to drive me back to his feet. I stared at the man I had loved for four years, realizing he didn't just want a wife; he wanted a prop he could switch off. He thought he could starve me into submission while he played father to another woman's child. But Clive forgot one thing. Before I was his trophy wife, I was Starfall—the legendary voice actress who vanished at the height of her fame. "I'm not jealous, Clive. I'm done." I grabbed my old microphone and walked out. I’m not just leaving him; I’m taking the lead role in the biggest saga in Hollywood—the one Angelena is desperate for. This time, the "decoration" is going to burn his world down.

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband’s Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn’t find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn’t even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father’s legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn’s party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara’s health and managing every detail of Caden’s empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I’d drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause—if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I’d forgotten.
