Sophia, a teenager in high school, meets a mysterious boy. Little did she know this encounter will turn her world upside down. Odd things started to happen since then, but the boy seemed to know something about it. "I can help you because I know what's going on with you. I know you have many questions but everything will be revealed to you at the right time." "How can I trust you?" "Because you have no other choice." Sophia accepts his help out of desperation but little did she know she would be tricked by him because her identity was no joke. What a perfect play the boy had played just to keep her in the dark! Was it to protect her or take advantage of her identity?
Everyone has some obstacles in their lives that they want to remove but there is always a difference between reality and fantasy. The story of my life is no less than fantasy. It seems that my experience was just a dream because all the adventures, joy, and fun I had is fading away from my memory gradually. Everyone has a time when they seem to forget about their joyous moments and important memories but my case is completely different because it is not something to be believed.
Time traveling, defeating spirits, and thrilling adventures, I remember every important detail but still think I had a beautiful dream. There were bitterly sweet moments of rage, pain, and sorrow. I still remember when I first saw him.
He was the most handsome man on Earth. It was the time when I was a high school girl. I was walking towards my home after hanging out with my friends for a while. It was the weekend so we decided to hang out for a bit. Our group contained only three female friends: Susan, Jasmine, and me (Sophia), so we enjoyed the whole day.
"Bye, Susan! Bye Jasmine!"
"Bye Sophia!"
"Bye Sophia!"
We all went home riding on our bicycles before it got dark but unfortunately, I got stuck in the middle of the street due to my bicycle.
"Oh, no! No, no, no! Of all times, why now?"
The tyre had gone flat so I started walking with it.
"Damn it!"
It became dark after some time and the whole street was empty along with nearby streets.
"I should inform my family that I'll be a bit late.-What! First no cycling, now no battery!-Huh, what an unlucky time of the day!"
It was dark and I had no flashlight but there was a full moon covered by the thick clouds that night. I was getting a feeling of rainfall. After some time, it started to thunder. Although I never felt scared before, the situation at that time was scaring me.
"Clomp...clomp...clomp...(sounds of footsteps).
I constantly felt someone chasing after me. I raised my speed and after feeling insecure I threw my bicycle there and started running as hard and far as I could. I didn't even look back but had a constant feeling of being chased. There was heavy thunder and lightning. In the meantime, it started raining.
I was short of breath, had no energy to run, and had severe pain in my kidney. I hardly walked towards the dead end. Luckily there was a trash bin so I hid behind that.
Because I was short of breath, I couldn't help but make a sound. The person by whom I felt being chased was right in front of me.
"Gasp!"
My heart was almost drowned but due to the dark and heavy rain, I couldn't see his face. He was dressed as a gangster and seemed like a middle-aged man. He lifted his right hand towards me with a burst of creepy laughter. I was scared to death and closed my eyes wishing for someone to save me.
"Someone! Anyone! Please save me!" I screamed in my heart.
Suddenly, I heard the sound of him being knocked down. I opened my eyes and saw that he was shot by an arrow. I felt a huge relief and calmed myself. But, after being shot, that man didn't drop even a single drop of blood and vanished in black dust. That shocked me heavily because I had never witnessed such an abnormal spectacle.
The rain stopped, the clouds faded slowly, and left the moon all alone in the open. The stars boasted of their beauty. There was peaceful silence in the sky as well as in my surroundings which led my guard down and the one who saved me appeared in front of me. That was the time when I saw him, the most beautiful boy on Earth.
"Am I seeing things?" I asked myself.
He descended from the sky in front of me in the soothing air with such grace that it was hard to take my eyes off him.
Under the bright moonlight, my eyes fixated on him. He made my heart skip a beat and gave me an eternal feeling. The bright moonlight showered on him like a clear and transparent silver coat bestowed from heaven. The boy had a good figure, silky and smooth black hair almost long till his neck, a blue band tightened on his forehead, clear big lavender-colored eyes with a tint of pink mixed just like a pink-hued galaxy, handsomely cool and the raindrops dripping from his head onto his body in the moonlight made him look so dreamy. His hair was waving slowly by the gentle gush of the wind. His long eyelashes dipped in rain water would remind one of the fresh morning dew that would sparkle upon a slight sun ray. Thick and finely shaped brows made him look so manly. His lips were the color of his skin with a slight orange tint. His skin tone was light-wheatish and manly, neither smooth like a lady nor rigid like a soldier. He was wearing a white t-shirt with blue pants of fine fabric that would place even the emperor's royal fabrics in shame. The beautiful white joggers that he wore were like the shining feathers of a goose. It was strange of me to note every detail.
He moved his eyes slowly in my direction with such grace and composure, and our eyes met for a brief moment. My surroundings became numb to me and all my focus was stolen by him. I could hear the sound of the gentle wind striking the leaves of the trees in my surroundings. The moment our eyes met, there was a peaceful silence between us. He looked up at the sky and as I blinked, he vanished like he was never there, leaving chaos in my mind and heart.
Then I heard a faint sound. I heard some people calling my name.
"Sophia!"
"Sophia!"
I came out of the dead end and found my family and the cops looking for me at some distance. I ran towards them. My mother spread her arms and I clanged her hug. Tears started running from my eyes and I felt like being freed from a devil's cage. It was very strange to feel something like that.
"I should feel like coming from the mouth of death. Why am I feeling like coming out of a devil's cage which is worse than death?" I asked myself in my heart.
I hugged my mom more tightly and said, "Mama, it was so horrific. I felt like it was the end of the world."
My mom looked so worried after hearing my words and asked, "Sophia, what happened? Did someone do something to you? Why are you crying so much? Tell me, my heart is sinking right now!"
My father indirectly told my mother to calm down, "Sarah, don't ask so many questions at once. Can't you see she is already scared?"
Then he put his arms gently on my shoulders and directed my face towards him as I was crying with my face facing the ground.
He asked, "Child, what is the matter? Don't be scared. Just tell the truth to Papa."
I, wiping off my tears, said, " Papa, after hanging out with my friends, I was heading for home. But my bicycle's tyre had gone flat so it became dark on the way. I felt someone chasing me so I threw my bike there and ran to hide but was found by him. But, luckily I was saved by someone."
Mama said, "Where is that person? We want to thank him for saving you."
I said, " I don't know. He just helped me and vanished."
