Love Game With My Bossy Ex Chapter 1 Had Sex With My Husband Right After Filing For Divorce

"Trending News: Brayan Rogers Spotted with a Supermodel at Night?"

In a lively private room, Thalia Palmer's colleagues were enjoying their drinks, while she sat isolated in the corner, fixated on the trending news on her phone.

She was fed up. It felt like the umpteenth time she had stumbled upon a scandal involving Brayan.

Just then, a colleague approached Thalia to offer a toast. Catching a glimpse of the news on Thalia's phone, she leaned in, her curiosity piqued, and started to gossip. "Despite Brayan Rogers, CEO of the Rogers Group, being both handsome and wealthy, he's known for his playboy antics. He's been caught up in numerous juicy stories."

Another colleague chimed in, "I've heard rumors he's married, but his wife remains a mystery to everyone. It's unclear if the rumors are true."

As the gossip unfolded, Thalia's grip on her phone tightened. She checked her email once more, only to find no response to the divorce papers she had sent Brayan's way.

Her mood plummeted even further.

Little did anyone know, she was the mysterious wife of Brayan.

Thalia, an orphan raised by Alfonso Faust, had once saved Brayan's grandmother by chance, leading to their marriage.

Given that Alfonso and Brayan's grandmother were good friends, Thalia accepted the arrangement, hoping for a peaceful life together.

However, Brayan's detachment was evident from the beginning. He couldn't even muster the effort to go through the formalities of their marriage in person.

Despite Thalia's attempts to close the distance between them, Brayan remained distant, never answering her calls or showing any interest in their relationship.

To make matters worse, Brayan's life was continuously marred by scandals, none of which he ever tried to protect his wife from.

Feeling ignored, Thalia gradually stopped trying to connect with him until she felt it was pointless to continue.

Deciding to stop pretending, she chose freedom instead of staying in a loveless marriage.

At that moment, she was offered another glass of wine, bringing her back to the present. Thalia looked up at the person offering it.

Her coworker, Ablett Gray, smiled at her. "Thalia, everyone's having a drink. Why not join us?"

Thalia looked around at the lively scene and found it hard to say no. She reluctantly accepted Ablett's wine and drank it in one gulp.

But soon, she felt something was off. She started feeling hot, dizzy, and it was hard to breathe.

"I can't drink anymore..."

Thalia tried to cope with her discomfort and thought about leaving early, but Ablett approached her with a look of concern. "Thalia, let me help you to a room to get some rest."

While saying this, he put his hand on Thalia's shoulder.

She tried to push him away, but feeling weak, she found herself being forcefully taken to a room by Ablett. As soon as they entered, he started to make unwanted advances.

Thalia resisted with all her might and then realized there was something wrong with the wine Ablett had given her.

"Fuck off!" She tried to escape.

Ablett approached her with an obscene grin. "Thalia, you can't imagine how much I like you. Don't worry, I'll take care of everything."

Thalia fought back harder, but Ablett was determined to have his way. He pinned her down on the bed.

"Help! Someone, please help me!" Thalia's screams were desperate, and in her panic, she reached for the table lamp on the bedside table, grabbed it, and swung it hard at Ablett's head.

With a loud thud, he was knocked unconscious and collapsed onto the bed.

Terrified, Thalia didn't stop to think. She ran out, tripping over her own feet in the corridor as she sought help.

Then, suddenly, a door nearby swung open, and a firm, warm hand wrapped around her wrist.

Before she could understand what was happening, Thalia was pulled into the dark, opulent room.

"Ah!" Caught off guard, Thalia screamed, her survival instincts kicking in as she struggled to break free. But it was no use. The man picked her up with ease, and before she knew it, she was on the bed.

"Help me, and I promise to make it up to you," the man said in a deep voice, leaning over her.

Thalia could feel warmth radiating from him, an obvious sign he was under the influence of something strong.

She tried to push him away, managing to say, "I... Let me help you..."

Her attempt to suggest medical attention was interrupted as he took her words the wrong way. Letting go of all caution, he silenced her objections with a kiss, leaving her voice lost under his.

As daylight broke, Thalia woke up with her head pounding, memories of the previous night coming back to her as she noticed the man's breathing nearby.

She hugged herself, sitting up to face what had happened.

The surprise hit her hard when she saw his face clearly.

Even in sleep, his looks were remarkable, but recognizing him brought a shock.

"What? How could this be?"

It was Brayan. The same man she had sent the divorce papers to just the night before.

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

I went to the City Clerk’s office for a routine copy of my marriage license to finalize a trust fund audit. I expected a simple piece of paper, but the clerk’s pitying look told me my entire life was a lie. "The license was never finalized, Ms. Oliver. In the eyes of the state, you are single." The three-hundred-guest wedding at the Plaza and the Vogue features meant nothing. My husband, Gray Cooley, had intentionally filed the documents with a "procedural defect" so he could discard me without a legal divorce. Moments later, an iCloud invite titled "Our Little Secret" popped up on my screen. It was a photo of my best friend, Brylee, holding a positive pregnancy test at our Hamptons estate. Gray’s text to her was the final blow: "Happy anniversary, babe. This baby is the best gift. Once the trust unlocks today, we’re done with the charade." I soon discovered they were even stealing my career, reassigning my architectural masterpiece to Brylee while preparing my eviction notice. Gray's mother called me a "barren mule" in a leaked recording, mocking the infertility I suffered after saving Gray’s life in a construction accident. I wasn't a wife; I was a three-year placeholder used to secure his inheritance. How could the man I bled for treat me like a disposable prop? How could my best friend carry his child while pretending to comfort me through my darkest moments? The betrayal burned until it turned into a cold, hard stone of fury. I didn't cry. Instead, I walked into the penthouse of the Barretts, the Cooleys' most powerful rivals. I signed a marriage contract with Kane Barrett, the man the tabloids called the "Beast of Wall Street." "I want a wedding," I told his father, my voice steady and lethal. "Bigger than the one I had with Gray." If they wanted me gone, they would have to watch me become the woman who owns their world.

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband's Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn't find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn't even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father's legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn's party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara's health and managing every detail of Caden's empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I'd drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause-if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I'd forgotten.

The Discarded Heiress: Marrying My Lethal Husband

The rain in Detroit was slick with grime when my family finally came to fetch me. They didn't want a reunion; they wanted a sacrificial lamb to marry into the Kaufman empire to save their failing business. I thought I was just being sold off, but the limo ride ended under a dark overpass where six hired thugs were waiting with chains. My own sister had ordered them to "break my spirit" so I’d be a shaking, pathetic mess by the time I reached the altar. They called me "Detroit trash" and sprayed air freshener when I sat on their leather seats. My stepmother wanted a video of me begging for my life, and my father was ready to trade me like a used car to a man everyone called a "vegetable." They expected a submissive country girl, unaware that I was a high-level "cleaner" who could snap a radius bone before they could even scream. When I finally reached the Kaufman estate, I found my fiancé, Barron, slumped in a wheelchair, drooling and silent. But as soon as the doors closed, the "invalid" grabbed my wrist with a grip of iron and whispered a command that changed everything. I didn't understand why my own blood was so desperate to see me destroyed. What had I ever done to deserve a hit squad and a forced marriage to a man they thought was a corpse? But Barron isn't a vegetable, and I'm not a victim. We just touched down at the Moon family gala in a matte-black helicopter, and as the doors slide open, the "broken" bride is about to show them exactly what happens when you throw away the wrong daughter. "If we're going to crash a party," Barron whispered, his eyes burning with lethal clarity, "we should make an entrance."
