Chapter 2 Chapter 1 Coronation

"How could a brazen woman like her be our pack's Luna!"

The coronation ceremony for Zara Nelson to become their pack’s Luna, which was supposed to be romantic and grand, devolved into chaos.

Zara looked up after hearing the conversation and was surprised to see several naked photos of a woman on the screen behind her.

The woman in the photos was none other than her, but the man in bed with her was not her groom, Marcus Ewing.

Zara was shocked because she had no idea what was going on.

In those photos, she was making out with a man whom she didn’t know. Each photo clearly showed her face, while all that could be seen on the man was either the back or side of his head.

Zara cast a subconscious glance over Alpha Marcus, finding that he was staring at her angrily. As their eyes met, she heard a growl from him, but it wasn’t just his voice. It was because of a combination of Marcus and his wolf. They were both furious, and that wasn’t a good sign.

"Zara! How dare you cheat on me?" Before she could explain her part, Alpha Marcus slapped her so hard that she stumbled onto the ground. She defended herself while covering her face and looking up at him.

"It's not what it looks like, Marcus! I don't even know the man in those photos!" she tried to explain, feeling gravely wronged.

"You don’t? How about the woman in those photos? Isn’t that you? Tell me!" In a rage, he growled lowly while murderously glaring at her.

"I'm not sure what's going on!" Zara exclaimed as tears uncontrollably dripped onto her cheeks. She couldn't think straight because she was so confused.

She had never spent a night with another man except for the one night she had last month.

"Do you dare to swear that you've never slept with another man?" Alpha Marcus squeezed her chin tightly.

"I..." Zara was about to finish her words when Sia, the bridesmaid standing next to her, interrupted her, "Zara, you didn't come back home all night at the mate gathering last month. Who were you with that night?"

"I w-was in the hotel with Marcus!" Zara immediately answered.

"I went home early that night because I was drunk. How could I have stayed in a hotel with you?" Alpha Marcus said with a sneer.

Zara was even more confused, and her face gradually turned pale. ‘The man who stayed with her that night was not Marcus? Then who?’ Zara thought.

"Zara, you don't deserve to be the Bluemoon Pack's Luna. Everyone, pay attention! Luna's coronation is officially canceled. You no longer belong in our pack, Zara Nelson. You'll be a rogue from now on," Alpha Marcus uttered clearly for everyone to hear, and his voice boomed in the entire hall.

"No!" Zara immediately protested.

"I didn't cheat on you, Marcus! Someone is probably setting me up!" she exclaimed in a panic as she extended her arm and tried to reach for him. ‘Who will do this to me, and why?’ she thought to herself.

"Stop defending yourself, Zara. You make me sick!" Alpha Marcus had gone insane from rage.

He viciously kicked her away. Then, he leaned down and brutally stripped her of her wedding gown.

"Marcus! What are you doing?" Zara asked as she tried to struggle and push him away, preventing him from exposing her naked body. She couldn’t help but tremble.

"Take it off! You don’t deserve it. You haven't even got your wolf! I let you be my Luna because of your father, Alpha Chris, but I didn't expect you to be a slut! You should be sorry for your deceased parents!"

"No! Listen to me..." Although Zara resisted, Marcus still force her to take off the wedding dress tailored for her in front of everyone, leaving her dressed in a champagne slip dress.

Alpha Marcus glanced at Zara ruthlessly. "Sia, would you like to be the Luna of the Bluemoon Pack?" he asked coldly as he turned around and handed Sia the wedding dress.

"I do!" Sia responded right away. She couldn't hide her happiness.

Zara stared in disbelief as her bridesmaid put on her wedding dress right in front of her without any shame. Alpha Marcus even tagged Sia and ruthlessly left his mark on her.

"No! Sia, how can you do this to me? He’s my mate!" Zara shouted while glaring at Sia angrily. She couldn’t help but feel betrayed.

"Don't be a fool! I am Marcus' mate! You don't even have a wolf! How can you get a mate?" Sia looked down at Zara before turning around to show Zara the mark on her neck.

Sia smiled and approached Zara's ear before she whispered on her, making sure that only she could hear her words. "Are you pleased with my gift for you, Zara?"

"Sia, it's you! You wanted to throw me out?" Zara's rage was uncontrollable. She wanted to leap up and smack Sia's hypocritically smiling face.

Sia abruptly waved her hand and ordered the warriors before Zara could finish her words. "Get this rogue out of my pack!"

Sia appeared to have identified herself as the Luna of this pack.

"Get off me!" Zara kept struggling. However, she was still dragged away by the warriors.

Zara was filled with rage as she never imagined her best friend would set her up.

Mercilessly, she was abandoned at the wolf pack's border. Just as she was about to cry, she received a phone call from the hospital. "Zara, Alpha Chris has died due to illness."

"What?!" She couldn’t help but exclaim in pain as her tears intensified. Due to her shaking hands, her phone fell onto the ground.

"Zara..." Suddenly, someone called out Zara's name.

"Who’s there?" Zara jerked her head up, tears streaming down her cheeks, to look at the dark forest. However, she saw nothing.

All she could hear was joyful laughter from afar, where her coronation had originally taken place.

"I’m Aria, your wolf."

"My wolf?" Zara clutched her chest in disbelief. She couldn’t believe her wolf would be awakened at that time.

"Yes. Alpha Marcus is not your mate. You’ve met your mate, but you didn’t know that. Zara, you’ll have an honorable mate," Aria spoke slowly, trying to make her understand everything ang giving her hope.

"Don't be afraid," Aria smoothed Zara, "I'll help you. You are no longer alone."

"But my father...I have to see him now," Zara cried again.

Zara felt pain in her stomach when she struggled to get to the hospital. Blood drained from between her legs.

"What’s happening?" Zara exclaimed while she was clutching her stomach in pain.

"Run!" Aria abruptly yelled into the back of her head.

"She's right there! Kill her for Luna!"

Footsteps and rustling of bushes could be heard in the distance.

"Run! They're looking for you!" Aria warned Zara who was frozen on her feet, trying to wake her up and make her move.

"But I don't know what to do..." Zara struggled to stand on her own. She stumbled forward, occasionally looking back behind her.

"Shift," Aria ordered. Then, she took control of Zara's body the next second.

There was sound of bone cracking from Zara’s body, and then her feet stained by blood turned into wolf feet covered in white fur. Soon, she shifted into a full giant white wolf, running through the forest.

Zara collided with a tree because she couldn't control her new body well. After Aria completely took control of Zara's body, the white wolf navigated the forest expertly.

"You're pregnant," Aria told her. "Don't worry, I'll help you."

The next second, Aria lost her footing as a huge net wrapped around her from all sides.

"What's going on?" Zara looked around in panic, "Aria!"

"We've been caught!" Aria lost her balance and was hoisted into mid-air.

At that moment, a thin sound came from the bushes near the net.

Aria stared intently at the spot, too frightened to breathe.

The sound came again, like snapping twigs and rustling bushes and howling winds all in one.

A dark thing suddenly flashed in the distance again.

The dark clouds broke and the moonlight seeped through.

Owls cooed above them, crickets sang below them, and the distant sound of pounding footsteps grew from behind.

The sound grew closer, and a pair of yellow eyes appeared in the shrubbery.

"Who are you?"
