ASHINA'S POV

Staring up to the skies, as I watch the gradual changes in the weather. The sun was getting brighter gradually,and I could feel the heat.The Warm sun and humidity hit my face like opening a dryer mid-cycle. And trust me, it felt good.

the radiation on me, felt like it was directly staring at me.

It's amazing to watch a single ball brighten up the planet this much.

I'm just here alone, lost in the woods, doing nothing for myself. The only thing I do every morning is to watch the sun set.

Hoping each day that it would tell me, this was all just a dream.

“Ashina we need to find a shady place, I'm no more comfortable here”

Hahaha, I can't believe I now share this unique bond with the sun, that I could hear it speak to me.

Oh no wait! Did I say that it was the sun? Yaa …. I guess I'm gradually losing my mind too.

That was my mate Logan, did I say my mate? I'm not sure about that yet. But we both stay in the woods together. I know … I know what was on your mind, oh you thought I stayed in the woods alone? No, that's not close to being possible.

Okay.. okay I know I actually said I stayed alone. Anyways, what can I say? Don't just take me by my words.I'll gladly give you that as a piece of advice. Because I clearly don't know what words keep coming out of my mouth every now and then.

It's difficult for me here, and I'm sure it has the same effect on Logan. I can't believe we've been here for several years.

“Ashina you are not saying anything? We just got here yesterday and you are already acting this way, what will happen if we stay out here for a week?”

“Huh? Yesterday? You mean we've only spent a night here? I asked

I'm certain Logan has no idea what he is talking about. Ya I'm sure he doesn't.

“Ashina please you need some rest and you have to stop thinking. Just take a look at what you are doing to yourself. We just got here last night, and it's not yet up to twenty four hours and you need to at least rest. Instead of sitting there and be lost in your thoughts''

“Did you at least have some rest last night?”

“Don't worry Logan, I'm perfectly fine. You should be disturbed about yourself because you are clearly losing it” I laughed as I said this.

Yes I'm right, I'm sure about that. Logan needs the help of a physician, I'm sure they would agree with me that Logan was out of his mind.

I thought werewolves don't run mad, I thought we were special. But no! Just take a look at Logan, since he woke up he has been saying all sorts of things that are not in line with what is going on.

Why would he say we only arrived here last night? Is he trying to play with my mind? I'm sure he knows I hate it when he tries to make a fool of me because I'm no fool.

Just look at how lovely this place is. All he should have done was to join me and watch the beauty of the sun and not sit there and spit things that absolutely made no sense.

Ya ….. Ya ….. I know I said it is difficult out here for me and for Logan too, I'm sure you understand why it's difficult for me? Tell me who can endure the company of a werewolf who has clearly lost his mind.

I am not comfortable with his presence and that's why it's difficult for me.

Or maybe not …….

Well I had to ignore him because I wasn't done meditating, he distracted me while I was at it.

I sat back, taking a comfortable posture as I leaned on one of the barks of a tree in the woods, I tilted my head to the sky again, this time I supported my head with my right hand that was placed under my chin and I leaned my elbow on my knee.

Just the perfect posture to take the full glimpse of this sun, because it was the only best thing that is going on in my life right now.

“Ashina you won't tell me that you will be sitting there all day. I need to get some wood so that we can build a little cottage where we can manage for now. Staying outside a building structure is not completely safe for you and you know that”, Logan said.

Okay now he is talking about building a cottage, I'm sure he is joking about that because all these years we've been here, we've lived peacefully no attack of any kind, we've been enjoying and appreciating nature for years.

“Let me ask you something, Logan,” I said as I obviously stopped watching the sun, still sitting where I was, I turned to face him so that he I'll be able to tell what exactly was going on with him.

“Why do we need a house Logan? We've been here for years, so why do we need a house all of a sudden? All we have to do is to sleep at our usual spot”

“What do you mean? Ashina, what are you talking about? For crying out loud, we just got here last night and you also complained how much you were scared of sleeping because the place was too open. Ashina , please come back to reality! We need this building, especially for you.”

I rolled my eyes at Logan. I sincerely can't deal with him right now.

“Logan please go, don't worry when you're calm we will talk this out, I'm sure by that time you would have got back your senses “ I said, shushing him away but he refused to leave my presence, he stood there staring at me with pity and I wonder why.

He needs this pity stare, not me.

“Ashina please stop doing this to yourself, you need to be calm, if not for anything, consider your unborn pup”

“un… un… unborn what?” I stuttered in shock, cutting him short from continuing spitting gibberish.

His condition was getting worse, and he needed to rest but he wouldn't listen!

“Yes your unborn pup, Ashina”

“Stop that! Stop saying that!” I yelled at him.

I am angry he is doing this to himself and I feel bad for him.

“I can't stop because that's the truth! You are pregnant!” He yelled back at me.

“No …. No Logan, you don't know what you are saying” I moved my head sideways in disagreement.

I immediately placed my right palm on my tummy

“See I'm not ……” I paused, realizing that I felt something like a tummy bump.

Maybe my tummy is just bloating. I shrugged as I thought.

I bent my head to the direction of my tummy, placing both hands on it this time.

And… and ….and there it was! I am pregnant!

Does that mean that Logan has been tight all along? Am I the one losing my senses for real? How did I actually get pregnant?

“How ….. how… how did…” I stuttered trying to swallow the shock and to assimilate what was going on.

“Oh yes! Yes yes yes! I remember! I am pregnant with Alpha's pup. My unborn pup is his.” I screamed out for joy.

Logan gently hit his palm on his face and tilted his head down a bit as he exclaimed; “oh no!” He was clearly disappointed.

Logan acts like he knows everything but believe me, he doesn't.

You see? it didn't take that much to remember my true identity. I know who I am!

“No you are not!” Logan screamed back at me.
