Characterization Emma Rochelle - FL- 22 She is the only child to a well known business tycoon, an unfortunate tragic event leaves Emma with memory loss after waking up from coma after several months with her parents dead. Before the accident Emma was a well known tyrant and wrecked havoc wherever she went. Coma did not dull her fierce spirit however, with her parents gone she became an easy target for all and her aunt Eden did not miss the opportunity to sell her off to Hayden Oriel. Hayden Oriel - ML - 25 His dream is to become the richest man in the city but he is in love with his secretary and will not be able to achieve this if he marries her so he targets the wicked Emma Rochelle who just arose from coma. Hayden plans to rob her of her family's wealth and get rid of her once he succeeds but as they spend time together he begins to see Emma in a different light and cannot stop himself from falling for her. Iris - 23 She is Hayden's secretary, Iris hates her poor background because she knows that Hayden would have married her if her parents were well off, she strives to explain the middle class to no avail. When Hayden goes off to marry another woman, Iris loses all sense of reasoning and gets involved in some shady doings to climb up the ladder. Eden Rochelle She is Emma's wicked aunt, a little sister to Emma's father. Eden plotted the demise of her brother and his entire family in order to acquire his wealth but a hole was left in her plans when Emma miraculously survived and even awoke from coma. Eden thought that all would be over if she married her off so she desperately pushed for the marriage to happen. Violet Rochelle - 21 She is Eden's daughter and she's just as cunning as her mother. Violet has always hated Emma coveting everything that is hers and she takes her obsession so seriously that she would sleep with Emma's every boyfriend and crash her relationship out of spite. Jackson- 24 He is Emma's ex boyfriend and he was caught cheating in public with Violet, after being used and discarded by Violet, he tried to win back Emma's heart. PLOT Exposition The story starts when a nurse walks in and finds Emma awake, rows of doctors trail in minutes later and after asking a few questions and running some checks it is discovered that Emma suffers from memory loss and the chances of recovering her memories are slim to none. Emma's aunt Eden visits next with her daughter Violet, putting up an act she engulfs her niece in a hug. Emma falls for her tricks and asks if she's her mother, Eden is too stunned to say a word. They see a doctor later and he informs them of Emma's condition, the woman is delighted to hear the news. Many weeks later Emma is discharged from the hospital, Violet gives her a silent ride home. Upon arriving they find that Eden has prepared a feast, Violet knows her mother is up to something but Emma is unable to read the room. Half way into eating, Eden tells Emma to get married. Inciting incident In her confusion, Eden breaks the news of her parents death to her trying to force her into doing her bidding. Emma tells her that she will not be getting married and shoves all the food away ruining the feast. That night a party is held to celebrate her return but not a single guest in attendance is willing to have a conversation with her. A funny looking man approaches Emma claiming to be her boyfriend, he shows her pictures of them together and Emma is shocked to see herself smiling happily next to him, their reunion is cut short when Hayden barges into the room, he informs Emma of Jackson's infidelity with her niece and she walks out on him. On the way to her room a server bumps into Emma spilling champagne on her dress, she falls on her knees trembling in fear, unable to understand her reaction Emma ignores her continuing her journey. When she gets to her room she immediately strips and heads for the bathroom but is shocked to find a dead body in her bathtub. Rising action Emma is arrested as a suspect but is soon granted bail when no concrete evidence is found. Eden and her daughter do not bother to show up at the station leaving Emma alone but Hayden comes to her rescue. Reluctant to go back to Eden, she follows Hayden to his house. CHAPTER TWO
"The man I have found for you is perfect, he will treat you right. Don't you worry." Eden assured trying to sound convincing but Emma couldn't help but suspect foul play and her expression did nothing to hide it. She had every right to be suspicious given they wanted to marry her off as soon as she was discharged from the hospital, something was clearly not adding up.
"Do my parents agree with your thoughts?"
"Oh, hunny." Eden laughed in a dangerous tone, "they probably do so from the underworld." She finally decided to take her mask off, what's the worst she could do anyway, she was just a girl who couldn't even remember her own name.
Emma's grip on the spoon tightened as she struggled to control her emotions, she suspected it at first but couldn't come to terms with the fact that she was an orphan, now hearing Eden throw it in her face like it was nothing made her feel stupid for being so naive.
"I'm not doing it." She said bold.
Eden eyed her like the nobody she perceived her to be, "I'm not seeking your permission, I am simply letting you know. You will be getting married whether or not you like it."
Without warning Emma yanked the red piece covering the table and sent all the food running to the floor in different directions. Eden and her daughter quickly sprung up their feet to avoid the mess.
Emma sat in the middle of the mess covered in different food mixtures, "I said I will not be getting married." She declared in heavy breaths like a fire dragon, but the two were not fazed. Not even memory loss could get rid of the madness in Emma Rochelle, this was just a tip of the iceberg compared to what she was truly capable of when triggered and Eden knew that sooner or later her wings would grow in size if they were not clipped shut which was why she took it upon herself to find the perfect candidate with blades sharp enough to cut through.
Emma could throw a tantrum all she liked but she will not be able to escape this marriage, Eden promised to give it to her all, she had to if she wanted to continue living in luxury with her daughter anyway.
"You will be forced to listen." She said walking off with Violet trailing behind her as their two whispered in hushed tones.
With them gone Emma sank to the chair defeated, what crime did she ever commit to end up with a fate like this. Not only were her parents dead, she also had no recollection of them and now she was being forced into a marriage by her aunt whom she had thought to be on her side.
Emma knew for sure that Eden and her daughter were up to something and a big secret was being kept from her, in order to keep this secret hidden Eden planned to get rid of her using marriage as an excuse, it was obvious and Emma knew there was no way she would dance to her tune, rather she swore to expose her for her wicked ways.
Eden pulled her daughter inside the room and poked her head out, when she was sure they were not being followed by anyone she closed the door and proceeded to lock then turned around.
"You must help me out Violet, you always knew how to deal with her in the past, surely your head is still filled with ideas now."
She thought Emma would be docile with her memories gone, who knew she still had that fire in her.
Violet smiled, proud at her mother's recognition. Of course she had a few manipulation skills down her pockets, getting Emma to walk through her desired path would be a piece of cake. "Come," she grabbed her mother's arms and pulled her close to whisper in her ears.
Eden's smile grew with every word and she couldn't help but marvel at her daughter's brilliance. "No doubt you are my daughter." She praised, with Violet's plan there would be no escape for the little brat, she would have her gone once and for all, Eden could truly not wait.
The Rochelle household was booming with people that evening in celebration of Emma's return, though, a good number of the smiles around were fake, some did not even want to touch her and kept their distance. If it wasn't for Eden who threatened to expose their darkest secrets many wouldn't even be in attendance.
Before the accident Emma was a known sociopath, where ever she went chaos followed and Emma was not one to sit still. Her parents further indulged her crazy actions by shielding her from the people and law with their power leaving her untouchable but with them gone who's to say what would become of Emma now. Although there were rumors flying around that Eden set up an arrangement to have her get married to the president of hayco group Hayden Oriel, none could actually confirm it.
As if on cue Hayden sauntered in, immediately all heads snapped in his direction, the attention did nothing to faze him or stop his little cat-walk as he was already used to it, the man was gorgeous and made heads turn whenever he walked by. Covered in black from head to toe, his coal black hair was forced to sleep with an enormous amount of gel latched onto the corners of his forehead, with his hands dug in deep in his pockets, he braved his way through the people in search of his bride.
Roaming his eyes around he came to a pause on catching a glimpse of sunrise gold hair he knew could only belong to one person, she was in a corner frowning to herself and Hayden could already tell why, no one gathered here tonight truly liked her, it was all fake and they were pretending, he wasn't any different.
Trailing in her direction he saw a familiar face he recognised as Jackson approached her, they exchanged a few words and he pulled her up the stairs without her resisting.
