Heavy tension arose in the "Clicks mansion", which saw Mr Clicks raising his voice at his favorite grandson Zayne’.

“You idiot, when shall you become a full man, and take responsibility for the future?”

“I don't understand you, grandfather. What's the meaning of all this, and why are you using insulting words might me?” I asked in a state of confusion, as I wondered what might trigger my grandfather to go wild on me.

“You mean you don't understand what I'm saying? At the age of 30, you are still gallivanting around the clocks, and calling yourself a young man. Many of your friends are all happily married with kids, and here you are, not minding the future, and whether you will have a posterity or not?” Mr. Clicks raged.

Damn, he is on it again. He won't just let me take a fresh breath. Each time we had an important discussion at the table, he raised the issue of family and me getting married on time.

“Oh!. Now I understand. You should have been calm with your words, instead of shouting. It's not really an issue if I get married or not. Although, I have yet to find my heartbeat beat”, I said.

“Now I know and can testify that you are a fool. You know, I don't blame you. I wasted money on you and your cousin 'Tom’ thinking that you guys would be sensible enough to navigate through the tides of life, not knowing that both of you shall become a big embarrassment to me and my legacy.

There is nothing good I can write about your cousin 'Tom’, if not because he is very arrogant and loves womanizing. Thus, it was particularly about his ugly state of arrogance, that I refused him from inheriting my empire because he would go there, and bring down everything I have labored for all these years

Of course, he is a great womanizer, but he has never brought any lady he impregnated by mistake, or I heard accusations of him impregnating other people's girlfriends No. All he does, is wasting his time, and deceiving himself”.

As he was talking about 'Tom’, I felt some breeze of relief. At least, he has finally deviated from speaking about me not marrying or not. I wasn't the only one. Tom also has issues with him, and I thank God that my case with him today has been over.

However, when I thought that mine was over, he surprised me with his further words.

“Fool!. I thought you were different from your arrogant cousin, not knowing that yours is even worse than his.

You are such a workaholic who doesn't have a great time with himself. All you think about is just how to make money and take the empire to the next level. You've never, for once, thought of the future security of the empire. What if we leave this world now or soon? Who would become the head of our business, and continue with our good legacies? No one. My business would just be given to an unfortunate dude out there who never contributed a sweat to my successes?”.

“Grandfather, just calm down and let's discuss amicably,” I said, after thinking that I could calm him down.

He paused for a while and looked at me from head to toe. He shook his head pitifully, folded his hands around his chest, and hissed.

“You Leprous idiot. I thought you were better than your cousin. You are just the opposite anyway. However, now I see that you don't have sense.

You don't even follow women, not to talk of you having a girlfriend. I see that you don't care about having a family, right? After having great achievements in life, who would enjoy them, and who would protect and inherit them when you are no longer there or strong?” Grandfather asked, and kept quiet.

I believe he wanted to hear from me before he finally gave me his final verdict.

I have known him for a very long time now, and understand how he relates with people. He would prefer not to be around the bush first, before hitting the nail on the head. I should be careful of what I say to him now because a single word from him is capable of demoralizing my strength, and even putting my job at risk.

Now I can understand why he still controls 90% of what goes on in the empire, even though he has retired, aged and is very weak. He was not sure whether me and “Tom’ would maintain his business legacy and even if we could, none of us had kids, not to talk about being married.

He has documented my name, as the heir of his business empire, because he prefers me to 'Tom’, my cousin, who is a senior to me.

He kept looking at me, and when he saw that I wasn't making plans to answer his questions, he decided to sit on the golden sofa, a special one meant only for him, crossed his legs, and relaxed his two hands like a king who was about to pass evil judgment on his subjects.

“Now listen to me ", He spoke authoritatively, as he pointed one of his fingers at me". You have five months from now to pick and select a wife for yourself. After five months, if I didn't see a wedding ring on your finger, or see a wife sleeping on your bed, I saw your grandfather Mr. Clicks, the founder, owner and first president of the “Clicks Business Empire’, would delete your name from the company's profile and history.

You know what that means, right? You will never inherit my empire. I shall will it over to your cousin' Tom’ because he has more chances of impregnating a lady soon, or getting married; since he is a great lover of women and as for you, you can work the hell out of your life. Who cares?.

Just get married to any mad woman you like on the street, and give me a great-grandson who will continue my legacy after we are gone from this world.
