“Why do you feel so familiar?” Elena whispered, staring into Adrian’s intense blue eyes. “Because I’ve loved you for centuries,” he replied, his voice a caress. Elena Winters never believed in the supernatural—until she met Adrian Blackwood. As their forbidden love ignites, they must face ancient curses, vengeful immortals, and a prophecy that could tear them apart forever.

Chapter 1 The Night That Changed Everything

I could feel the pulsating energy of the club as soon as I walked in. The music's heavy beat thrummed through my veins, making my heart race in time with the bass. Neon lights sparkled, casting vibrant hues of purple and blue across the dancing bodies on the dance floor. I needed this—an escape from the everyday grind of the hospital.

"Elena!" my friend, Mia, shouted over the deafening music. She pulled me toward the bar, her excitement infectious. "Tonight's all about forgetting, remember?"

I nodded, trying to shake off the remnants of my exhausting week. "Yeah, you're right."

As I leaned against the bar, waiting for our drinks, I felt a pair of eyes on me. Turning, my gaze met his. He stood at the other end of the bar, exuding an aura of confidence and mystery.

His dark hair framed a chiseled face, and his piercing blue eyes seemed to see right through me. He was stunningly handsome, and I couldn't look away.

"Who's the hottie checking you out?" Mia teased, nudging me with her elbow.

"I have no idea," I replied, unable to break the intense eye contact.

Before I knew it, he was walking toward me, his presence magnetic. He stopped just inches away, his gaze never wavering. "Hi," he said, his voice smooth and deep. "I'm Adrian."

"Elena," I managed to reply, my voice barely audible over the pounding music.

Adrian smiled, a slow, seductive curve of his lips that sent shivers down my spine. "Care to dance, Elena?"

Without waiting for an answer, he took my hand and led me to the dance floor. The moment he touched me, a jolt of electricity shot through my body. His hand was warm and firm, and I felt an inexplicable connection.

As we moved to the music, our bodies pressed together, the world around us seemed to blur. His hands roamed my back, pulling me closer. My breath hitched as his lips brushed against my ear. "You’re mesmerizing," he whispered, his breath hot against my skin.

I didn't know what had come over me. Maybe it was the alcohol, maybe it was the way he looked at me like I was the only woman in the room. But when his lips finally captured mine, I felt like I was melting. The kiss was intense, hungry, like he couldn't get enough of me. I wrapped my arms around his neck, pressing myself against him, needing more.

"Let's get out of here," he murmured against my lips.

We barely made it to the cab, our hands exploring, lips locked in a passionate kiss. By the time we reached his place, my heart was racing, my body tingling with anticipation.

His apartment was sleek and modern, but I barely had a chance to take it in before he was pulling me toward his bedroom. The moment the door closed behind us, his hands were on me again, his lips trailing hot kisses down my neck.

"Adrian," I gasped as he lifted me, my legs wrapping around his waist. He carried me to the bed, laying me down gently before joining me. His hands were everywhere, caressing, teasing, driving me wild with need.

Our clothes disappeared, discarded carelessly on the floor. His body was hard and warm against mine, his touch setting my skin on fire. Every kiss, every caress, was like a promise of what was to come.

When he finally entered me, I cried out, overwhelmed by the intensity of it all. He moved slowly at first, savoring every moment, but soon we were lost in each other, our bodies moving in perfect harmony. The pleasure built, wave after wave, until I was teetering on the edge.

"Elena," he groaned, his voice raw with need. "Let go."

And I did, shattering into a million pieces as I found my release. He followed moments later, collapsing beside me, his breath ragged.

For a while, we just lay there, tangled in each other, the world outside forgotten. I knew this was crazy, knew I might regret it in the morning, but right now, all I cared about was the way he made me feel—alive, wanted, special.

As the night wore on, we talked in whispers, learning little bits about each other. He was enigmatic, dodging questions about his past, but I was too captivated by his presence to press him for answers. We fell asleep in each other's arms, the connection between us inexplicable but undeniable.

Little did I know, this one night would change everything.
