For more than ten years, Grayson Chavez and Lainey Chavez have been chased by a mystery person. They don't know why the person is chasing them and what exactly the person wants but one thing they know is that if the person catches them, they're going to be killed just like their parents were killed in front of them. All they could do was hide. But everything changed when Louise Reynolds walked into their life and Grayson fell deeply in love with her. But one thing they didn't know was she was their biggest fear.
Chapter 1 Her True Color
It was late at night and Lainey was lying on the bed, she was the one who used the small and cramped bed while Grayson used the floor.
Grayson was standing in front of the window while looking outside. The wind ruffled his brown long hair and although it was a little dark, his blue eyes were glowing the same as his face.
He was staring at the star with soft and innocent eyes. Even though his heart is in grief cuz of how they're leaving their life and he wasn't able to protect Lainey and give her the life she wanted but he never shows how weak and soft he was to Lainey.
He was still thinking when he heard Lainey sniffling, she was just 17 years old and could bet she had never seen or felt what the world looked and felt like, she was 5 years old when Mr. and Mrs. Chavez were killed and Grayson was 9 years old and he had taken care of her since that night.
Grayson turned around and when he saw Lainey cramped up on the bed with the blanket over her head. He walked closer to her and lifted the blanket from her head and her pale face came into view.
His heart tingled when he saw her like that and he sat down beside her on the bed with a sigh. "Why are you crying?" Grayson asked softly.
Lainey tried to pull the blanket over her head again but Grayson held her hand from doing it.
"You should talk to me, you know I hate it when you're hurt, my heart stings when I see tears in your eyes" Grayson mumbled, and Lainey sniffled before sitting up on the bed.
"I don't mean to get you worried but..." Lainey stopped while sniffling and looked into Grayson's eyes.
"I'm tired, brother, are we going to continue to live the rest of our lives here, I've been suffering here since mother and father died, I haven't been outside..." Lainey mumbled.
"I want us to live just like normal people and not hide from whoever wants to kill us" Lainey added and Tears spring out from his eyes but he wiped it almost immediately.
"Is that going to make you happy?" Grayson asked and Lainey's face lit up and she nodded happily.
"Then I'll find a way for us to live just like normal people do," Grayson said even though he was not sure of what he just said but just to make Lainey happy and he wiped her tears off her face.
Lainey smiled and hugged Grayson tightly. "Thank you, brother I can't wait to have friends and I can start schooling, gosh I'm so excited," Lainey said, still hugging him and Grayson hugged her back, patting her on the back until her stomach made a hungry noise and Grayson broke the hug.
"Are you starving?" Grayson asked and Lainey nodded slowly.
Grayson pecked her on the cheek and stood up from the bed. "I'll be back," He said and started leaving.
"Wait" Lainey stopped him and he turned back.
"Where are you going?" She asked.
"You're hungry, I need to get you what to eat" Grayson replied.
"Is Leo not coming tonight? It'll be dangerous outside, I can't let you go," Lainey said from the bed, and Grayson smiled.
"Leo isn't coming tonight, he has a night shift, and don't worry about me, I'll be back soon," Grayson said, Leo was their only companion, best friend, and someone they could trust while they stayed indoors, Leo always works to provide what they'll eat and need for them and he was older than them.
"But brother, it's not..." Grayson cut her off before she could finish.
"Make sure to lock the door from behind and don't ever come out, I'll be back in a jiffy," Grayson said and like that, he rushed out of the room.
Lainey has a worried look on her face. "What if something bad happened to him" she mumbled and got down from the bed.

OVERLORD'S CASTLE, LOUISE'S SUITE>
Louise was done dressing and was ready to go out when someone suddenly knocked on the door.
"Who the hell is that?" Louise yelled from inside.
"It's Emma, my lady" Emma replied and Louise picked up her purse from the bed, she was dressed in bum short and a crop top that revealed so much of her body and a high heel, she looked sassy yet sexy in her dress with her long blonde hair which reaches her waist.
She has a snow-white skin and a perfect feminine body.
She walked out of the room, looking bossy and hot but behind that look, was a dangerous and wicked look on her face.
Emma immediately bowed and was slightly shaking. She was Louise's personal maid and she couldn't help but get scared whenever she saw Louise. "Why are you here?" Louise asked.
"I... I'm here..." Emma stuttered fearfully.
"Will you f**king speak up!" Louise yelled and she flinched.
"The overlord sent me here" Emma mumbled with her head still bowed.
"What did he want?" Louise asked.
"He said you need to come to the den immediately" Emma replied and Louise smirked.
"Tell him I'm not coming and when did you start working for Andretti? Didn't I assign you for myself alone?" Louise asked and Emma went down on her knees.
"I'm sorry, miss, I can't refuse the overlord order" Sapphire begged, sniffling.
She can't refuse the overlord and neither can she refuse Louise's orders cuz that'll mean death for her.
"You're becoming more useless and I don't share what I own with anyone," Louise said and dipped her hand inside her purse and brought out a gun.
Emma's eyes widened when saw the gun. "Please don't kill me..." Before she could finish Louise shot her in the forehead and she went down dead.
Louise kept her gun back inside her purse while walking out of the suite.
The maids in front of her door immediately rushed away when they heard the gunshot. The overlord orders them not to let Louise go anywhere but it seems like nobody can keep and stop her from going out.
