Chapter 1 The night

Oh,shit ." She shrieked as she immediately sat up on the bed, her eyes widened in shock and surprise.

She stared up at the white ceiling, which was a stack contract to the ceiling in her room.

Or should she say in her previous room, because her landlord had evicted her after failing to pay her house rent.

It wasn't her fault though, it wasn't her fault that she never lasted up to three weeks in all her jobs.

The last job she had done was that of a waitress, and she had ended up breaking 55 plates and paying through her nose.

Now she was homeless and without a job.

And the worst part of it all, something she never imagined herself doing was happening to her right now.

She groaned inwardly as she slapped her temple.

Shit

It had happened, not the way she had wanted her night to be.

But blame it on her landlord and her stupid boss and the restaurant and also on the tequila.

Because who gets drunk on their birthday and ends up with a total stranger.

Except Lupita Bianchi.

Wow, now she could win a Grammy for her stupidity.

She pulled the white blanket up a little and stared down at her naked self.

She looked at the left-hand side of the bed and found that it wasn't rumpled.

It was well laid, she blinked.

Was this all a dream ?

Because the other side of the bed was supposed to be rumbled.

She tugged at her disheveled jet black straight hair which wasn't straight any longer but was sticking out at odd ends.

Her finger combed it while waiting for the idiot that laid her.

She waited for the shuffling of feet in the bathroom, the running of the tap, the twisting of the faucet.

Or even perhaps the knob twisting.

And he showed up saying.

"Tada, sleeping beauty is awake."

This was probably a hotel, she guessed.

Yes, dummy, a voice said in her head.

What were you thinking ? Prepare his house and prepare a sauna bath sauna for you after getting laid

Stupidly, she was waiting for him to come in, never realizing that the minutes were slowly rolling by.

It dawned on her that soon room service would come knocking, and she swung her legs over the bed.

Grabbing a handful of the heavy sheet, she wrapped herself round and round like a mummy and limped to the bathroom.

The pain in between her legs hurt with every step.

She went into the sparkling bathroom and sighed.

Yeah, great the idiot wasn't there either.

She left the tap running for a few minutes, watching her reddened face in the mirror before her.

She scooped a handful of water and splashed it on her face, then her mind reeled to last night.

*****

Flash back.

"Tequila pleaseeee." She gulped and slammed the wine glass on the table so that it shook almost breaking.

She gulped once more and gave a stupid laugh, looking around.

The bar was packed full of a lot of people and the smell of cigarettes, alcohol and sweat rang the air.

It was damn stuffy in there and far at the front of the bar were poles with a lot of girls dancing their lives off.

She wished she had the freedom those girls had.

To get up and dance your sorrow away.

At intervals, laughter rose and dropped and chattering in the bar was ceaseless, almost deafening, accompanied by the blaring music.

The disco light overhead with its red, blue and green light made her feel so dizzy.

"Look who we have here." A tall lanky man who smelled of alcohol approached and smiled at her.

Two of his front teeth were missing and beside her the other rest of his party laughed like mannequins.

"Let me give you a little touch." He laughed." You gonna love it."

Then he tried to touch her inappropriately and she slapped his hands off.

He reeled back in shock and yelped.

"Quite the fiesty one, huh?"

He said not backing down, then reached for her arm.

She stood up on wobbly feet and pushed his hand away.

"Come to daddy." But he couldn't complete the sentence as she sliced a slap through his cheek.

She pushed past him, took a glass of alcohol from someone's table and gulped it all down.

She was already drunk and was feeling dizzy.

From the deepest pit in her stomach a bile fought to come out.

She walked as if tossed by a hurricane.

She didn't see him come and the next thing she knew she was hugging a huge mass of flesh.

She raised her head from his broad shoulders and smiled sheepishly at him.

She threw her head back and spilled yellow nonsense on his suit.

She heard him curse under his breath, he pulled her by his hair like her eyes, it rolled back into her head and she collapsed.

Only to wake up a few seconds later in a king-sized bed, still drunk.

"You huh." She laughed as he came out of the bathroom, shirtless, his biceps and charming looks left her gasping.

"You shouldn't try that again," he said as he went to bed.

"I won't if you say you like me." She found herself saying all of a sudden, then she held his hand as he was about to turn away.

"Don't go." She said in a small voice, and before he could think she had flung herself in him and they both collapsed on the bed.

His face was inches from hers and her hands were resting on his chest.

And without thinking, she clasped her lips with him.

He didn't hesitate to return the kiss ferociously.

Flash back ends

She quickly wiped her face with a towel and wobbled back to the room.

Her head was pounding with a hangover

Bending down with so much effort, she grabbed her clothes and tossed them on the floor.

When her phone made a beeping sound.

She pulled it from her bag hesitantly, unlocked it, then her eyes widened, and she almost passed out.

Written in clear letters was a letter of mail

It reads.
