But faith had other plans. What plans? Find this and many more out in this intriguing Novel.

Chapter 1 The Rejection

Freya's P.O.V.

"I, Troy, renounce you, useless, low-rank omega, as my mate and future Luna," I heard the crown prince's voice. I sank to the floor in a heavy howl, sensing my soul cracking, resulting in unbearable grief.

"Meanwhile, I prefer Gina as my accepted mate and Luna, for she is indeed deserving of the position," Troy, the crown prince, included, and people gasped. Some people put me on the floor with pathetic expressions, while others mocked me and said I deserved it.

"What did I do wrong?" I thought. I was an omega and an outcast. I was mistreated, disgraced, and criticized by people.

I was taken advantage of and oppressed. My feelings were never cared for; instead, I was crushed and turned into everyone's slave.

I was supposed to be happy and rejoicing tonight, the full moon festival, but no one allowed me to.

I remained in a corner, admiring the moon, when I perceived the most pleasant aura ever, with my conscious wolf flipping in excitement.

I perceived my mate was near, and I had to find him. I started following the scent and went deep into the crowd to meet everybody dancing and rejoicing.

Suddenly, I bumped into someone, and from the pleasurable aura I was perceiving, I noticed I banged into my mate.

I was eager and lifted my head to look at who it was. It left me speechless, for my mate turned out to be none other than the arrogant, prideful crown prince and soon-to-be alpha of my pack. I was happy, but deep down inside, I felt I should expect rejection.

I thought he would reject me, and like I expected, he did. At first, he froze, perhaps knowing I was his mate. The next thing I noticed, he, or should I say his wolf, released a loud howl before he turned to stare at me.

I vibrated at the intense hatred in his eyes and could feel my heart dissolving into pieces. "How could the moon goddess be so wicked?" he growled, drawing everyone's attention, and I shivered.

Just then, my nemesis, Gina, who never failed to make my life miserable, arrived and enclosed her arms around Justin while staring swords at me. "Baby, what is wrong?" She requested, and I think I saw fear flash across her eyes.

"The moon goddess has betrayed me," Troy yelled, earning murmurs from people wondering what was happening. What do you mean, my love?" Gina asked, worried. "Please stop talking in parables and explain," she responded. I just discovered out now that this little, rejected tart is my mate," he growled. I felt tears at the brim of my eyes at his words and what he announced.

"My mate called me rejected," I thought, as I sneered in surprise while looking into his eyes, filled with bitterness and disgust for me.

I was used to this bale-filled look from everyone, but that it was coming from him, from my mated mate, hurt like hell.

"Unacceptable!" Gina growled, turning to stare between her sweetheart, Troy, and me. Yeah, Gina, my only nemesis in this world, my friend, turned out to be my mate. The moon goddess sure works in wonderful ways, I figured out.

"It can't be," Gina murmured, shivering. Troy, who saw this, went to her and folded his arms around her while muttering something into her ears. This sight hurt as hell,' I reflected.

The trembling, almost tearful Gina returned to life and sent me an evil grin before walking away with Troy toward the stage in the crowd's presence.

I wondered why and had this belief that something was going to happen.

"I am standing here before you all to make you all my witnesses for what I am about to do," he started, and I realized what he wanted to say. He rejected me without regret and bruised and smashed my heart into a million pieces. I lay down there on the floor, unable to leave, as I shed mute, pain-filled tears.

A few minutes thereafter, everybody started going; the festival had ended. Meanwhile, Gina came to where I was lying on the floor with her minions to make fun of me. "How does it feel to be rejected?" she teased, and her minions burst into laughter while I remained there, not responding to her nor looking at her.

Guessing that pissed her off, for she pulled me up by my chokers and 'smack' kicked me in my face. Yeah, Gina was far stronger than me and had a powerful lineage, while I was a hopeless, powerless omega. "How dare you neglect my question, you useless piece of trash?" she yelled and dumped me to the ground.

I winced at the ache as my body struck the floor. A nail on the floor pierced my left arm, and I choked in agony.

Gina, who saw this, smirked with relief.

"Serves you right, bitch, for trying to take my man," she said to me with a piercing frown. I just laid there, too weak to do anything or retaliate. All I could do was remain there and allow her to torment me. Gina flung me a look loaded with hatred before spitting on my face and exiting.

I struggled to get up a few minutes after she and her minions left. I tore a piece of my gown from the tip and wrapped it around my bleeding arm. I could not heal, for I was an omega. My healing rate was just like that of a human. I made my way to a bar, got drunk, and struggled to forget my misery for that night.

I sat at the bar and swallowed a full cup of hot vodka, which pierced my throat and made me feel so hot. Just then, I felt someone sit in the chair beside me. I turned to see who it was and whooped in awe, almost salivating. It was a drop-dead, handsome guy with huge, powerful arms.

My eyes were too blurred to sink into his features, but I bit my lips at his rock-hard chest, which looked like it was about to pop out of his t-shirt.

"Mind if I join you?" he inquired with a grin, and I nodded.
