a famous jet ski rider and a successful businessman. Tons of women are crazy and obsessed over him. He has reached the peak of his dreams, to the point where they seem almost unattainable. Even though many women are captivated by him, he's not interested in any of them. He just wants to have sex, and that's it-no commitments, no drama, just sex, nothing more. All women are fascinated by his muscular, hard, and huge physique. He stands tall and handsome, a look no one can resist. Plus, his charisma is off the charts. His dark, cold, expressionless eyes can captivate every woman he looks at. But aside from that, he has a gorgeous and simple best friend: Luna Quinn Ferrer, a young lawyer. She's simple yet stunning, soft and caring-the reason why he can't forget about her. Then one night, there was a party, and she happened to be invited. She accidentally drank the wrong alcohol, which was mixed with a drug that made her body heat up. Unexpectedly, she became wild and unstoppable, seducing him with her gorgeous body-an innocent girl turned into a wild, seductive goddess. He was there to guide and watch her every move, ensuring no one else touched her. But when she begged him to touch her, his patience burst like a bubble. He touched her, licked and sucked, and even had sex with her. He was praising her all night. The next morning, he woke up to find her gone. He searched for her for days until he finally found her. She told him that she wasn't ready for a commitment, which was exactly what he wanted too. He assured her that he had no feelings for her, which was a lie. She believed him, which is why she agreed to be his friend... with benefits. They enjoyed themselves every time they did "it." But what if she finds out she's pregnant with his child? What will she do? Will she tell her "friend"? But what if a woman from his past returns, introducing herself as his ex-fiance? What if she discovers they still have a connection, despite their so-called "friendship" with extra activities? Will Luna Quinn Ferrer distance herself and hide their child, or will she fight for her feelings for Khaizer Javier, even though someone from his past has returned?

Chapter 1 the party tonight

Chapter 1

Luna was busy tidying up her things when someone tapped her on the shoulder. She wouldn't have paid attention, but she heard the voice.

"Hey, workaholic! That's enough." She laughed, turned around, and removed the hand from her arm as it tried to put itself around her shoulders.

"Stop it, Miks. What do you want this time?" she asked. Miks smiled so sweetly that it made her raise an eyebrow. "I don't like that smile of yours, Miks Lanuevo," she said, but he just put his arm around her again.

Miks Lanuevo was one of her friends, a fellow lawyer, and her classmate since high school through college. As a result, she was always involved in his antics.

"Come on, don't you trust me?" he said, raising and lowering his eyebrows. She frowned. "And besides, the others are coming too," he mentioned their other friends.

She suddenly stopped. "Really? I thought they were busy?" she raised an eyebrow at him. Miks might be a joker, but he wasn't a liar. Still, she didn't believe him. If she was a workaholic, their friend Kahizer Javier was even more so.

Kahizer was the busiest of them all, as if there was no day for enjoyment. He liked being on top and hated being defeated, so no one could surpass him.

"Yes, they are! So, come with us!" Miks insisted. She removed his arm from her shoulders and grabbed her bag.

"Well, I'm done with the case I was handling, so..." she smiled, making him smile even more. "It's not wrong if I join the party tonight." To her surprise, he started jumping up and down.

"Ohh! That's my friend!" he shouted. She laughed but quickly stopped when she saw other people staring at them.

She scolded him and continued walking out of the courthouse. Her car had a flat tire earlier, so she commuted to work. And now? She thought, she might as well join her friend.

LUNA's POV

"Is everyone coming?" I couldn't help but ask the person next to me. From outside the car, he shifted his gaze to me.

"Hmm. I don't know, but I'm sure almost everyone will be there," Miks replied. I just nodded.

Even though I missed many of them, there was only one person I was really looking forward to seeing. God knows how much I missed him. But... I guess it doesn't mean anything. I just want to see him, nothing more.

A few moments later, we arrived at the party venue. It was a large hotel owned by the spouse of one of our friends. It was near the sea, and we could swim there.

There were many people, and I hardly recognized any of them. I've been all about work and home since I graduated. So, I was a bit afraid of people.

We hadn't even entered yet when someone blocked our way. "Yoo!" he greeted cheerfully. Miks shook his head with a smile.

"You startled me, James!" he playfully hit his friend's arm. But when James's eyes landed on me, they widened. I laughed.

"L-Luna!" he exclaimed and came closer. He hugged me, and I hugged him back.

James was one of our friends. In college, he was the biggest womanizer and the loudest. I was happy to see him because he was close to me despite his craziness.

We entered and found many people and loud music. Like us, everyone was dressed formally.

"Where are the others, James?" I heard Miks ask. James paused to look at us. He smiled.

"At the table. We've been waiting for you," he said as he took our hands. It wasn't a big deal for us, we're just friends, and it stayed that way.

A few moments later, we reached the table he mentioned. And he was right; our friends were there. They were noisy but fell silent when they saw us. Their expressions were shocked, and they suddenly stood up.

"Ouch, damn you, Calix!" James groaned as Calix pushed him away from us. Like James, Calix hugged both Miks and me.

"Calix," I laughed as he pushed James again as he tried to come closer.

The others approached, but I stopped when I noticed a woman sitting in a chair. She was staring at me.

'Do I know her?'

When they noticed me looking at her, they turned to the woman. "Oh. Luna, this is Mika. Mika, this is Luna. Kahizer's closest friend," Janice introduced the woman..

Confusion filled my system, but I chose to smile. She stood up and extended her hand. "Nice meeting you, Luna," she said, a small smile forming on her lips. I accepted her hand.

"Oh, c'mon! Let's enjoy the party!" Amanda exclaimed as they turned to look at her. She had just arrived, holding a glass of wine. She gulped it down and dragged Santino to the dance floor. Our companions started to make noise while I remained seated.

I'm not much of a party-goer, and I'm a little uncomfortable, especially since I noticed Mika kept glancing at me.

I reached for the glass of juice in front of me and drank it. I only came here to talk to Khaizer... but he didn't even show up.

"Are you close with Khaizer?" Mika's question caught me off guard. She was now staring at me, waiting for my answer.

I put down the glass and smiled awkwardly. I don't know... but she's making me uncomfortable with her stares, the way she looks at me, and the way she asks. Her tone.

I shook my head. "Not really," I replied briefly, avoiding her gaze. I can't say that Khai and I are very close, it's just... he's comfortable with me, like he told me before.

The woman seemed unconvinced but chose to nod and smile slightly.

Why is she asking me that kind of question? Is she... wait.

My eyes widened, and I looked away from her.

Khaizer's fling?

I swallowed hard. It wouldn't be surprising because of his charm and looks. It's just... hard to believe that he...

"Your juice is gone," Mika said, pointing at my empty glass. I looked at it, and she was right; it was empty. "Do you want me to get~" I quickly shook my head.

"N-No. But thank~" Before I could finish my sentence, she had already taken my glass and stood up. She smiled.

"Come on. You don't have to be shy. I'm trying to make friends with you," she said.

I pressed my lips together and nodded slightly. I couldn't refuse. Besides, she said she just wanted to make friends.

"Okay. I'll go ahead, then," she said, turning and walking away. Danna nudged me.

"What did you talk about?" she asked.

I shook my head. "Nothing. She said she'll get me some juice," I replied. Danna raised an eyebrow.

"Trying to make friends with you?" I nodded. She shook her head and took a sip from her glass.

In our group, Danna is the boyish and very observant one.

"Why?" I asked.

"I don't think she's sincere, Luna," she replied, very straightforwardly. I frowned.

"What do you mean?" She just 'tsk-ed.'

"You're a lawyer, Lun. You should be the one to notice." I was confused by what she said. "I think she likes Khaizer," she added. "And maybe that's why she's trying to make friends with you." I was stunned by what she said.

"You think so?" She didn't respond. We both noticed Mika approaching with the juice, so I straightened up.

"Open your eyes wide, Lun. She has plans," Danna whispered. I shook my head.

"She won't get anything from me, Dan. Khaizer isn't here~"

"You're wrong about that," she said just as I saw Khaizer behind Mika.

He looked so serious, cold, emotionless but very attractive. Mika was smiling widely while looking at me. But I frowned when I noticed the kind of smile she had.

"She's grinning," I whispered

Luna couldn't help but feel awkward around, and she also couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the behavior of the woman beside Khaizer. She knew even their companions were noticing, but they remained noisy and went along with the others' antics, but not her.

She felt heavy-hearted toward Khaizer because since he sat with them, he hadn't spoken to her or even checked on her. He only seemed surprised when he saw her, but when she smiled at him, he only gave a simple nod and looked away.

She couldn't help but pout and mentally curse her best friend. She missed him, but he didn't show any reaction when he saw her.

He's cold...

She felt a hand on her bare back. "That girl is really weird," Danna whispered to her. She reached for the juice and secretly glanced at Mika. She's extra sweet... and clingy.

Mika was always smiling at Khaizer and seemed to be softening her voice, which made Luna frown.

"She's not cute."

She saw how Khaizer's eyes landed on her. She didn't look away.

He didn't show any reaction. It's like... he's staring at her like she's boring.

His dark eyes slowly traveled down her body, making her frown. His eyes stopped and seemed to lock onto something. Following his gaze, she realized he was staring at her chest.

"Hey! I've been calling you," James nudged Khaizer, who seemed to come back to his senses.

Luna unconsciously swallowed and blushed, covering her chest.

"You okay?" she heard Danna ask beside her. She didn't look at her but nodded in response.

This is all Mika's fault.

The surroundings got noisier when romantic music started playing, and people began dancing..

"Mommy, ayaw ko po! Dad, please! " I pleaded with my parents, tears streaming down my face. They wanted me to marry the son of their business partner. But sh*t! I didn't want to. I was too young-barely 18! Worse, I already had a boyfriend. Sh*t! What kind of life is this?! "You'll marry him whether you like it or not. It's final!" my mom said coldly, not sparing me a glance. My dad sat silently, reading a magazine, his legs crossed as he lounged on our sofa. "Daddy..." I called out, hoping for some support, but he didn't even look up. "Go to your room and get some rest. Tomorrow is your wedding day," he finally spoke, but that was all. Damn it! This is hell! "M-Mommy huhu..." I sobbed harder. I didn't want to marry because I knew it would only lead to pain and misery " I choked out through my tears. "No. He'll never hurt you. Trust me. Stop crying and get some rest," Mom said dismissively as she stood and left me crying on the sofa. "D-Daddy..." I called again as he, too, stood up. He glanced at me, emotionless, before walking away. All I could do was cry. Tomorrow was my wedding day. There was no escape. My life would turn into hell starting tomorrow. I was about to marry a man without a heart, someone who wouldn't care if he hurt me emotionally or physically. Wedding Day As I walked down the red carpeted aisle, I fixed my gaze on the man waiting for me at the altar. His perfectly sculpted face was devoid of emotion. His piercing blue eyes stared at me, making my knees weak. "How pathetic you are. You couldn't even do anything to stop this nonsense of a marriage," he muttered coldly when I finally stood before him. He gripped my hand tightly, and I bit my lip to keep from crying out in pain. One question remained before I would be bound to this heartless man, who could never love me. "You, woman, do you vow to stay by this man's side in poverty and hardship, with respect and love?" the priest asked. "Say you do, woman, and prepare to suffer. You ruined my life, so I'll ruin yours too," Zyrus whispered maliciously, his cold words sending shivers down my spine. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "I, Lhianne Aurora Acostora, am willing to stay, respect, and love this man, Zyrus Clark Dillesh, forever. So, yes, I do, Father," I said boldly, shocking my now husband. "Zyrus Clark Dillesh, you may now kiss your bride," the priest announced. "The pathetic woman," Zyrus muttered icily. "Well, this isn't new to you." He lifted my veil and, without hesitation, claimed my lips. I felt like I was floating as his soft lips pressed against mine. Startled, I pushed him away when he bit my lower lip, leaving it stinging. I stared at him in disbelief, but he only smirked back at me. My gaze shifted to the churchgoers clapping enthusiastically. Mom's smile stretched wide, while Dad remained emotionless as always. I sighed deeply, bracing myself for the life of misery that awaited me

Boss, I need to resign. Please sign my resignation," Akari pleaded. She had been working here for five years, and her boss was like a demon who seemed to harbor a grudge against her. Although she applied to be a secretary, her role often felt more like a personal secretary slash maid, given the endless demands he made of her. Her contract was ending, and she wanted to submit her resignation letter. She had no intention of renewing her contract-she was going home, just as her parents had asked. "My answer is still no, Miss Nakamoto," Amir replied, busy signing documents. "But, Boss, I really need to go home. My mother is sick, and there's no one to take care of her. My contract is ending, please!" Akari said, desperation creeping into her voice. She hoped to get away with it – Akari thought to herself. "I'll give you a one-week leave. No more questions. Get out now," Amir responded, causing Akari's jaw to drop in disbelief. "I swear I'll curse you, you insufferable man," Akari thought angrily. ... "But, Boss, it's only been three days, not even a week! Three days! And now you're calling me back! Wait, whose child is that?" Akari yelled, furious that she was being summoned. "Here. She's been freaking annoying, crying all day, and I need sleep," Amir said, thrusting a crying baby into Akari's arms, leaving her stunned. "Boss, I'm not a nanny!" Akari protested, looking back at the now-silent baby. "Thank God, I'm going to sleep now. You take care of that little demon," Amir said as he flopped onto the bed. "Can I kill this man?" Akari thought as she glared at Amir before turning her gaze to the baby, who was now staring back at her. "Whose child are you?" Akari asked the baby, who just smiled. ... "What do you mean I can't resign until you find a babysitter?" Akari asked, glancing at the sleeping baby in her arms. "Exactly. You're fired as my secretary, and now you're hired as the babysitter," Amir said. Akari's jaw dropped again. "No way, Boss! I'd rather you order me around and treat me like a servant in your company than make me a babysitter. Please, Boss, have some mercy, even though you're always acting like a demon," Akari protested, as Amir raised an eyebrow. "Ah, I mean..." Akari stammered. "Don't worry, I've heard that plenty of times when you gossip with my lazy employees in the pantry," Amir said, causing Akari to gulp nervously. "I have a deal," Amir said. "What deal?" Akari asked. "If I can't find a babysitter for that child, you're free. But if I do, you will be her babysitter forever," Amir said. "Sir, come on..." Akari protested. "I'll give you half a billion after the deal," Amir offered. Akari's eyes sparkled. "Deal!" Akari agreed. "I can finally buy the car of my dreams! This will be easy," she thought to herself. Meanwhile, Amir had his own thoughts running through his head. "This is the only way to keep you with me. I'm a selfish man. Half a billion is just the start. After this, I'll make sure you get even more, plus a bonus," Amir thought, smiling to himself. ... "Akari, please, let me explain!" Amir begged. "No! Get out of here! Go be with your woman! You have no shame!" Akari yelled. "Muuahhhh!" Amir cried out. "She's not my woman, I swear!" Amir tried to explain. "You jerk! I wish I never agreed to anything with you!" Akari shouted. "Please, baby, let me explain, okay?" Amir pleaded. "Get out of here, and don't ever come back!" Akari screamed.

“What the hell! You idiots! All I asked you to do was keep watch, and you couldn’t even manage that?! Lucas, I’m not paying you to be stupid. Fix this right now!” This echoed throughout Governor Vergara’s entire office as he spoke on the other line. Meanwhile, his board members quietly listened, fear evident on their faces. “Lucas, fix this! Don’t call me until you’ve found her. I don’t care if you need to add more men just to find her today! Lucas, put this in your mind! I don’t want this day to end without you finding her! Clear?!” After ending the call, he immediately sat down in his chair and slammed his expensive phone on the long table, his fist following shortly after, causing his board members to flinch in their seats. “Everyone, get out!” he said calmly, but with a tone of authority. However, when he noticed that his words were ignored, his temper flared even more. This is what he hated the most: having to repeat himself. “I SAID, GET THE HELL OUT!” he shouted. His colleagues quickly stood up, hastily gathering their belongings, and scrambled to exit through the tinted glass door. Once the office was empty, he desperately ran his hands over his face, trying to calm himself, but it was impossible after what his butler—who had been tasked to keep an eye on the woman he was obsessed with—had reported. He picked up his phone and stared intently at the photo of the woman who had driven him crazy for so long. “You can’t escape me, Eullah. You can’t escape me! If I have to pay everyone in this world just to find you, I will,” he whispered to himself. He’s
