I'm an easily fooled little fool. Today, I received a scam text message. The sender wanted me to seduce Isonstinthe richest man and then dump him, promising to give me one hundred million after I succeeded. Heh, I'm a little fool, but I'm not really an idiot. I randomly replied to him, "I've experienced it; the other party's stamina isn't great." The next moment, I received a bank transfer notification for fifty million, with a note saying it was a deposit. Well, that's not too bad. Later, there were indescribable activities below the neck that lasted until late at night. Connor gently wiped away the tears from the corner of my eye. "Melina, am I good enough now?"

Chapter 1

Chapter 1

[1]

I'm such a gullible little fool.

Today, I received a sketchy text message. The sender wanted me to seduce the richest man in Isonstin and then dump him, promising me a billion dollars if I succeeded.

Ha, I might be gullible, but I'm not dumb.

As a joke, I replied, "Been there, done that. His stamina's not great."

To my surprise, the next second, I received a bank transfer notification for fifty million dollars labeled as a deposit.

Hmm, maybe it's not impossible after all.

Later, after an evening filled with passion that lasted well into the night, Connor gently wiped away my tears.

"Melina," he murmured softly, "did I do better this time?"

[2]

"Tomorrow, when you see Connor, get him alone in a corner and kiss him hard."

I swiped open the message tab and stared at the screen, raising my eyebrows in shock.

The plain text formed such an unexpected and ambiguous scene. What exactly is Connor playing at? He wants me to kiss him?

I thought for a moment, then typed on the keyboard with one hand, "Alright, I'll figure out a way to get him alone in a corner tomorrow."

In my mind, I couldn't help but wonder about Connor's reaction upon reading my message. Would he curl his lips into a sly smile? Or would he laugh out loud in excitement, thinking I was falling for his schemes?

Too bad for him, I wasn't that naive. I had already figured out that the person who had been feeding me tips on how to handle Connor over the past half month was none other than Connor himself. He just hadn't realized it yet.

No matter what kind of trick he was trying to play, I wasn't going to expose him until he slipped up. After all, he had transferred fifty million into my account to see if I could seduce him.

I had to give my big spender some excitement.

[3]

The next day, I woke up late. The digital clock by my bedside showed 9:16 AM.

Usually, Connor would leave for the office by helicopter before 9:00 AM.

My plan to catch Connor for a kiss before he left for work failed miserably.

Should I try to catch him at the office for a kiss?

That didn't seem like a good idea. What if someone saw us?

[4]

I was overwhelmed with conflicting emotions.

It took a lot of effort to drive to the company, and all the way, Alexia's considerate inquiries echoed in my ears.

"Did you have a fight with Mr. Holden?"

"Mr. Holden didn't look too good this morning. During breakfast, he kept glancing at the stairs, as if he was waiting for someone."

Who else could he be waiting for?

Since I live on the second floor with Connor and we have breakfast together every day, it had to be me.

Of course, I wouldn't flatter myself by thinking that Connor was upset because he couldn't have breakfast with me.

With my sharp memory and keen sense, I still remembered how Connor had coldly stared at me and said those hurtful words.

"I have no feelings for you, so don't fantasize that I will fall in love with you."

Hmph, who does he think he is?

Did he think I would have feelings for him?

I am an unbeatable beauty; I would never fall for a conceited jerk like him.

[5]

Arriving at the office, I put my things down and started a new day of work.

Connor was the CEO, and I was an ordinary employee at his family's company. Ordinarily, our paths wouldn't cross at work. Today was no exception.

The only unusual thing was Elliot suddenly seemed to have lost his mind, calling me and my colleagues into the hallway to give us a dressing-down. According to some well-informed coworkers, Connor was in an exceptionally foul mood today, as if some pent-up frustration hadn't been fulfilled. He had lashed out at the senior executives, leaving them completely humiliated.

We, unfortunately, became the misplaced targets of his wrath.

At home, Connor always wore a cold expression, as if he had just walked out of an icebox. I wondered what needs he could possibly have. Surely, he couldn't be upset from not seeing me all day or missing a kiss from me, could he?

Ha! If that's the case, then I just won't kiss him. Not at all.
