Chapter 1 The Woman He Truly Desired
Upon seeing Amelia Smith, Lucas Williams realized what kind of woman he truly desired.
Lucas Williams, the CEO of the renowned Blackstone Group in New York, answered a business call, watching as Amelia and her boyfriend Oliver, went upstairs to her sister Emma Williams' room on the third floor.
The long skirt revealed Amelia's delicate arms and calves, stirring a desire in Lucas to fondle them.
Not until her figure was out of sight did Lucas snap out of his trance.
He exhaled a deep breath and turned to his mother, Mrs. Sophia Williams, who was somewhat dazed, her gaze also fixed on Amelia.
Lucas waved his right hand in front of his mother, "Mom, are you still angry with me? I told you I never wanted to be there, but you made me go.
I knew I'd end up upsetting you. Alright, mom, good things come to those who wait." Sophia swatted her son's hand away and gestured towards the stairs, "How about that girl? She is so charming.
If she is your girlfriend, are you satisfied? Lucas gave a slight smile without responding.
Sophia really pissed off and stood up, "Is she not good enough? Tell me, what kind of woman do you want? This is the tenth blind date.
The girl is beautiful. You can't find fault with her look, so you complained she has no charm.
A girl from top-three University and a wealthy family with no charm? Does the blind date make you blind? Then tell me what do you want?"
Lucas pulled his mother back into her seat and pointed upstairs, "Mom, let's discuss this later. Family skeletons should stay in the closet." He was the object of affection for many women, but for the one he loved, he couldn't describe her at all.

Lucas had long become accustomed to the adoring glances women threw his way.

In terms of appearance, he was tall, with well-defined muscles that spoke of strength and power.
His eyes, a piercing shade of blue, seemed to draw one in.
His face, featured a strong jawline, high cheekbones that added to his handsome.
His hair, a dark chestnut brown, was short and neatly styled.
He moved with a confidence and grace that was both captivating and intimidating. In terms of family background, both parents were famous doctors. His father, also served as a hospital director.
Surely such a man must deserve a particular woman.
Lucas lit a cigarette and took a long drag. He reminisced about Amelia's face that had just disappeared from view, wondering if it matched her.
He clearly remembered the scene when Amelia entered this house. Today, Lucas had a blind date required by his mother.
As soon as he arrived home, Sophia angrily threw her book onto the sofa and unleashed a scathing lecture on Lucas in front of his younger sister and his father.
They all have to remain calm in such a scenario, which only further angered Sophia. As she continued, the doorbell rang, and the maid, Ava, opened the door.
They heard someone say they were looking for Emma. He turned his head subconsciously and felt as if his soul was being slowly drawn out, as Amelia walked to them with his boyfriend. Although, he wanted to ignore the man in his mind.
Lucas couldn't quite put his finger on what made the woman so remarkable.
She just seemed particularly special, standing out among any crowd, a face that always caught other's eyes.
As Emma introduced her, Amelia stepped forward, addressing Lucas with a gentle hello, "Nice to meet you!" His boyfriend also greeted him.
Lucas bowed his head slightly, offering a tranquil smile that masked the stirrings within.
Amelia's steps up the stairs were light and steady.
He wished she'd look back at him, a scenario he often found himself in, and her failure to do so left him with a sense of loss and yearning.
Then his phone rang and drew him back to his business and reality.
Lucas answered the phone, watched them go upstairs and then sat waiting for her to go downstairs. His parents had both retired to their rooms.
For Lucas, the wait seemed so long. He checked his watch.
It was about four o'clock in the afternoon, and Amelia had been in their house for just twenty minutes.
He felt like he waited for two years.
