His great love grew after she was no longer with him. The woman even left with the happiness that Zayn was looking forward to.

Chapter 1 One

"I'll give you 500 million, but give me your husband!"

That's what an old friend said to Linda. She really didn't expect her husband to be valued at such a fantastic amount.

Linda herself had never even seen what 500 million was like. Living in poverty had made her far from luxurious.

"Lin, are you daydreaming?" Zayn shook his head, this early in the morning seeing his wife's behavior.

"Nothing," Linda said, taking off the laundry she was wringing out, she walked over to Zayn and sat next to him.

"Honey."

"Yes, what's wrong?"

"Can I ask you something?" asked Linda hesitantly.

"Just ask Lin, what do you want to ask?" Zayn replied.

"Do you know Aisyah?"

Zayn looked to the side, feeling familiar with the name mentioned by Linda earlier.

"Aisyah who?"

"Our old school friend." Linda was annoyed that Zayn didn't remember the woman he had told her about earlier.

"Maybe I forgot. Let's just say I know her, so what's wrong with that woman?"

Linda squeezed her fingers, there was no way she was going to tell Zayn outright if she wanted him to marry Aisyah. In order to get the 500 million that that woman had promised him.

"That, I met Aisyah on the street earlier. Exactly by accident, we talked a lot. She seems to have a good heart. Aisyah wants to offer help for our family."

"You mean offer help?" Zayn frowned, not understanding.

"Aisha wants to provide capital for us to open a business Zayn. She feels sorry for our family's poor economic condition. We don't even have enough to eat."

The 30-year-old exhaled harshly, this was what he didn't like about his wife. Why does Linda have to expose their domestic problems to others?

It's not that Zayn doesn't recognize their family is difficult. But, it didn't seem appropriate to share their sorrows to gain sympathy from others.

"Lin, I know we are difficult. But, I don't agree with you taking out a loan. I'm also trying to find a job. I'll do whatever it takes to provide for our family. I don't want us to depend on others," Zayn firmly refused.

"But until when Zayn? Don't you feel sorry for our children? Until now we haven't been able to give them a decent life. Don't you want to see them happy?" Linda raised her tone, annoyed of course at her husband's attitude.

Offered a loan, Zayn had arrogantly refused it outright. What's more, if Linda had to tell the truth if the money was not a loan but rather given freely with Zayn himself having to pay it back.

"Patience Lin. I'm ...."

"Patience ... Patience ... How long do I have to be patient Zayn? Do you love me and the kids or not?" Linda cut Zayn off, not wanting to hear any excuses coming out of her husband's mouth.

"Lin, I promise you. I'll try to work even harder. I will try to make you and our children happy." Zayn was about to take his wife's hand, but Linda quickly pulled it away.

Standing up, she looked at her husband with annoyance.

"I'm tired of hearing promises. How can the kids and I be happy with all those promises you keep making!"

If you think about it realistically, what Linda said is true. How can his wife and children be happy with just promises.

But all this time Zayn had always tried to give his best, even though Linda never knew how hard he worked to support their little family.

"Already, don't keep pouting. I'm going to work first. Wish me a lot of sustenance." Zayn would rather go and earn a living than argue with his wife.

*****

Linda went to see her mother, of course she wanted to complain to the woman who had given birth to her about Zayn's attitude.

This was also because of her own stupidity. In the past, her mother had set her up with the son of a wealthy landowner, but because of Zayn's good looks that made her crazy. Linda chose to marry a poor man who could not make her and her children happy.

If it's like this, only regretful words come out of her mouth. If only she could turn back time, Linda would not want to marry Zayn and live miserably with that man.

"It's like this that you just regret it. When I told you not to, you were desperate to be with Zayn and wouldn't listen to anything I said!" Nagged the middle-aged woman who was Linda's biological mother.

"I know I'm wrong, but let's not talk about it anymore mom. After all, I've already confessed and regretted everything."

"Now you're saying you're sorry. When you were in love with Zayn, where did you ever think about regret. It's like this, you feel the consequences yourself. That's why when parents talk, don't argue."

Every time she talked about her son-in-law, Darmi's emotions would always peak. She couldn't contain her emotions, because Linda decided to marry Zayn she failed to become a rich man.

What an idiot her daughter was, how could she choose a poor husband like Zayn. Let alone being able to provide for his old self, Zayn was still lacking in providing for his wife and children.

"Never mind ma'am, forget all that. I'm here because I have something to tell you." Linda relented, not wanting to argue with Darmi. She was wrong, she admitted that.

"What do you want to tell me, about your husband again?"

"Yes ma'am, but now it's not about Zayn who hasn't been able to make me and the children happy. Instead, it's about an offer from a woman who wants to buy Zayn from me," Linda said excitedly.

"A woman wants to buy Zayn?" Darmi laughed pathetically. "What stupid woman would do that? What's so great about your husband?"

"Mom, I'm serious. So listen to my story first."

Linda pouted, watching her mother laugh crisply as if what she said was all a joke.

"The woman who wants Zayn will give me 500 million on the condition that I give her Zayn," Linda continued, ignoring her mother who continued to laugh.

Instantly Darmi's laughter disappeared, she looked at her daughter with a serious gaze.

"Are you serious?" asked Darmi as if she didn't believe her daughter's story.
