Young Girl Becomes Secretary Chapter 1 In a grand room with a modern minimalist design

In a grand room with a modern minimalist design, a man stands in front of a large window overlooking the metropolitan city view. The man is Rama Wijaya, CEO of Wijaya Corp, a large company engaged in the technology sector. With a neat black suit, a perfectly tied tie, and neatly arranged hair, Rama exudes an aura of authority and charisma that is hard to match. He is only 36 years old, but he has already become one of the most respected company leaders in this country.

Rama is married to Nia, a woman who has been by his side for the past six years. They met when Rama was still starting his career, and Nia has always been a loyal supporter behind him. Although their marriage has not been blessed with a child, Rama never doubted his love for Nia. For him, Nia is everything. He was never once tempted to look at another woman, until one day...

One day that should have been ordinary, Rama met someone who unknowingly would change his life. That day, he was sitting in his office, engrossed in the company's financial report, when a knock on the door made him lift his head.

"Come in," his voice was deep and firm.

The door opened slowly, and a young girl entered with graceful steps. Instantly, Rama's eyes fell on the figure. The girl was named Maya, his new secretary who was recommended by the HRD division. She was only 23 years old, just graduated from university with cum laude predicate. Maya had a beautiful face, a slender body, and eyes that radiated innocence but at the same time confidence.

"Good morning, Mr. Rama," she greeted softly, her voice flowing like a soothing melody. "I have prepared the documents you requested."

Rama nodded, trying to stay focused on his work. "Thank you, Maya. Put it on my desk."

Maya walked over, placing the documents on Rama's desk with a smooth movement. As she turned to leave, a sweet, soft scent of perfume hit Rama, making him lose his concentration for a moment.

"Maya," called Rama suddenly, without realizing it.

Maya stopped and turned around, looking at Rama with questioning eyes. "Can I help you again, sir?"

Rama was silent for a moment. His brain worked hard to find a reason why he called him. "Ah, no. That's all, thank you."

Maya smiled faintly and nodded. "Okay, sir." She then walked out, leaving Rama who suddenly felt his heart beating faster than usual.

Rama tried to ignore the strange feeling, convincing himself that it was just because he was too tired from work. However, the feeling would not go away. Every time Maya came to his room, Rama felt something was different. The more they interacted, the harder it was for Rama to ignore his attraction to the young girl.

One day, when work at the office was very busy, Rama called Maya to his office to help complete some of the piled up tasks.

"Maya, can you help me with this presentation? I need to finish it before the board meeting tomorrow," Rama said, his voice a little tense from the pressure of work.

"Of course, Mr. Rama. I will help as much as I can," answered Maya as she sat on the chair in front of Rama.

They worked together in silence, only the sound of the keyboard could be heard between them. Every now and then, Maya would ask about the details of the presentation, and each time, Rama would patiently give instructions. However, the longer they sat close together, the harder it was for Rama to resist glancing at Maya. Her beautiful face and focused gaze made Rama feel a strange thrill in his heart.

As the night grew late and the office began to quiet down, Maya looked a little tired. She occasionally fixed her long hair, and occasionally she leaned back in her chair, taking a deep breath.

"Mr. Rama, it looks like we're almost done," Maya said, turning to Rama.

Rama, who was also starting to feel tired, nodded. "Yes, we are almost done. Thank you, Maya, for your help."

Maya smiled faintly, and that was when Rama felt something more than gratitude. There was a desire in his heart that he had never felt before. A desire that made him feel guilty, but also hard to resist.

I married Clive Harrington, the coldest billionaire in Manhattan, under a strict contract that forbade any emotional burdens. When I needed a high-risk surgery to save my sight, I checked into the clinic alone, hiding the procedure from a husband who saw me as nothing more than a legal asset. I thought I could handle the darkness in silence. But while I was blind and bandaged in my hospital bed, my biological mother called, screaming that if I didn't produce a Harrington heir by the end of the fiscal year, she would cut off the life-saving treatments for my disabled sister. I was crawling on the cold hospital floor, desperately feeling for a cane I had dropped, when I touched a pair of expensive leather shoes. It was Clive. He was supposed to be in London closing a multi-million dollar deal, but there he was, watching his "contract wife" groveling in the dark like a beggar. He didn't walk away in disgust. He carried me to a five-thousand-dollar-a-night VIP suite and sat by my bed, listening in chilling silence as another voicemail from my mother filled the room, calling me a "useless broodmare" who was only worth the trust fund disbursements my marriage secured. I expected him to remind me of Clause 34B or hand me divorce papers now that I was "damaged goods." Instead, I felt his thumb brush a stray tear from my cheek, his presence shifting from a statue of ice into a predatory shield. "I thought I was just currency to you," I whispered, my voice trembling behind the gauze. "Just an investment." Clive didn't answer with words. He picked up his phone and called his head of legal with a single, terrifying command: "Kill the Douglas family’s credit lines. Every debt, every lien—trigger them all. If they want a war, I’ll give them a massacre." As he leaned down to kiss my bandaged forehead, I realized the contract was dead. My husband wasn't protecting an asset anymore; he was hunting the people who had dared to touch what belonged to him.

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

Marrying My Runaway Groom's Powerful Father

I was sitting in the Presidential Suite of The Pierre, wearing a Vera Wang gown worth more than most people earn in a decade. It was supposed to be the wedding of the century, the final move to merge two of Manhattan's most powerful empires. Then my phone buzzed. It was an Instagram Story from my fiancé, Jameson. He was at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris with a caption that read: "Fuck the chains. Chasing freedom." He hadn't just gotten cold feet; he had abandoned me at the altar to run across the world. My father didn't come in to comfort me. He burst through the door roaring about a lost acquisition deal, telling me the Holland Group would strip our family for parts if the ceremony didn't happen by noon. My stepmother wailed about us becoming the laughingstock of the Upper East Side. The Holland PR director even suggested I fake a "panic attack" to make myself look weak and sympathetic to save their stock price. Then Jameson’s sleazy cousin, Pierce, walked in with a lopsided grin, offering to "step in" and marry me just to get his hands on my assets. I looked at them and realized I wasn't a daughter or a bride to anyone in that room. I was a failed asset, a bouncing check, a girl whose own father told her to go to Paris and "beg" the man who had just publicly humiliated her. The girl who wanted to be loved died in that mirror. I realized that if I was going to be sold to save a merger, I was going to sell myself to the one who actually controlled the money. I marched past my parents and walked straight into the VIP holding room. I looked the most powerful man in the room—Jameson’s cold, ruthless uncle, Fletcher Holland—dead in the eye and threw the iPad on the table. "Jameson is gone," I said, my voice as hard as stone. "Marry me instead."
