Lyra Olsen, a famously violent sheriff, received information regarding illegal prostitution at a local hotel. She goes to the wrong room, and instead of finding prostitution, she finds a young couple talking over a bottle of wine. What she doesn't know is that the woman has drugged the wine with a potent aphrodisiac to seduce the man. After both Lyra Olsen and the man, a domineering CEO named Tristan Ambrose, both drink the drugged wine, they spend the night together in the hotel... and eventually get married. But is this the happy ending they both hoped for, or are their troubles just beginning?

Chapter 1 Hotel conflict

As a developed first-tier city, City C's nights are wonderful and rich. People who face great pressure of survival during the day will choose to completely release themselves at night. And people's willpower is the weakest and most unstable when they indulge in indulgence. Therefore, the probability of crime increases greatly during this period of time.

A loud ringtone suddenly rang in the quiet and dark room, waking up Lura Olsen who was sleeping soundly. She grabbed the phone at the bedside and looked at the caller ID. She quickly picked it up and asked, "Is there any news?"

With the light on her phone screen, she could vaguely see her expression. Not only was she not angry from being woken up, she was actually very excited.

"Boss, informants have reported that there is a sex trade going on in Room 2633 of Paradise Hotel. Should we take action?" Alex Demira asked on the other end of the phone.

"Nonsense, you dare to do such a thing in my territory? Obviously, you don't put me in your eyes. If you don't beat them to the point that even their mother doesn't know me today, my surname is not Olsen!" Lyra Olsen shouted as she got out of bed without taking off her police uniform.

Alex really wanted to complain for those people. In City C, there were still people who dared not take her, the Queen of Violence, seriously? !

"I'll go over and stabilize myself first. Gather your men and rush over as fast as you can. This time, you must catch a few fish and come back to clean up the atmosphere!" Lyra Olsen instructed.

Alex had no choice but to agree. He thought to himself that he had given up this night. Why was the captain of his family so enthusiastic and dedicated?

Lyra Olsen went out the door with a ping-pong sound. She went to the underground garage to pick up her car. She stepped on the accelerator and sped straight towards the Paradise Hotel. The other cars on the road were all far away from her, afraid that they would be dragged to their backs.

Lyra Olsen had been in the Public Security Bureau for two years and was now the captain of the Criminal Police Unit. Her promotion speed was comparable to riding a rocket. Apart from her background, she had to rely on her hard work. However, whoever was in C City would have a headache after hearing the name of Officer Lyra.

Room 2366, Paradise Hotel. Tristan came out of the bathroom after taking a shower. He was only wrapped in a bath towel, and his streamlined figure was exposed without any cover. Looking at that handsome face, the woman on the sofa opposite him felt her eyes go straight.

Tristan was 1.8 meters tall, The knife-like face had sharp edges and corners, His pair of phoenix eyes gave him a bit of charm. His pitch-black eyes shone like stars, and the light that flowed in their eyes was enough to make all women fall. His tall nose and admittedly curved lips were placed on the same face, revealing all of his strengths, making him a 360-degree beauty.

However, when the beautiful man saw that the adorable woman hadn't left yet, his cold face suddenly turned cold. "I'm not interested in you at all. You'd better leave my room before I get angry. Otherwise, don't blame me for embarrassing you."

"Young Master Ambrose, don't be angry. I'll just leave. Let's drink a cup of wine to moisten our throats first. Don't get angry and ruin our health." The woman did not get angry. Instead, she walked forward and handed Tristan a glass of red wine. She had curly golden hair, exquisite makeup on her face, and wore a low black lace bra. Her D-cup chest wavered in front of Tristan without restraint. If it were another man, she would probably have lost control of this temptation a long time ago.

However, Tristan had never seen a woman like her before, so she wouldn't fall like this. Seeing that she was quite sensible, her expression relaxed a little, and she took a sip of the wine glass.

When the woman saw Tristan drink it, her eyes flashed with pride. Just as she was about to further develop, the door was suddenly kicked open violently. The loud voice shocked the two of them in the room.

"Don't move, police!" Lyra Olsen took out her pistol and aimed it at the two of them.

When she went upstairs, she wasn't sure if the room number was 2633 or 2366, and she couldn't confirm that her phone was in the car. However, seeing the two of them panicking like this, she was no longer suspicious.

Of course, she had never thought that such a big commotion would frighten anyone.

"You two, raise your hands, lean against the wall and accept the interrogation!" Lyra Olsen said coldly.

"Young Master Ambrose, this" The blonde woman was stunned.

What's going on? Got a police rounds?

"I would like to ask this police officer, on what charge is he being interrogated?" Tristan Ambrose was much calmer than a woman. Compared to being entangled by this woman, it was easier to face the police.

"I suspect that you are engaged in illegal activities in the hotel. Stop talking nonsense and raise your hands!" Lyra Olsen was meticulous, even though there was a handsome guy who was enough to fascinate the gods.

I had been a wife for exactly six hours when I woke up to the sound of my husband’s heavy breathing. In the dim moonlight of our bridal suite, I watched Hardin, the man I had adored for years, intertwined with my sister Carissa on the chaise lounge. The betrayal didn't come with an apology. Hardin stood up, unashamed, and sneered at me. "You're awake? Get out, you frumpy mute." Carissa huddled under a throw, her fake tears already welling up as she played the victim. They didn't just want me gone; they wanted me erased to protect their reputations. When I refused to move, my world collapsed. My father didn't offer a shoulder to cry on; he threatened to have me committed to a mental asylum to save his business merger. "You're a disgrace," he bellowed, while the guards stood ready to drag me away. They had spent my life treating me like a stuttering, submissive pawn, and now they were done with me. I felt a blinding pain in my skull, a fracture that should have broken me. But instead of tears, something dormant and lethal flickered to life. The terrified girl who walked down the aisle earlier that day simply ceased to exist. In her place, a clinical system—the Valkyrie Protocol—booted up. My racing heart plummeted to a steady sixty beats per minute. I didn't scream. I stood up, my spine straightening for the first time in twenty years, and looked at Hardin with the detachment of a surgeon looking at a tumor. "Correction," I said, my voice stripped of its stutter. "You're in my light." By dawn, I had drained my father's accounts, vanished into a storm, and found a bleeding Crown Prince in a hidden safehouse. They thought they had broken a mute girl. They didn't realize they had just activated their own destruction.

The Billionaire's Cold And Bitter Betrayal

I had just survived a private jet crash, my body a map of violet bruises and my lungs still burning from the smoke. I woke up in a sterile hospital room, gasping for my husband's name, only to realize I was completely alone. While I was bleeding in a ditch, my husband, Adam, was on the news smiling at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. When I tracked him down at the hospital's VIP wing, I didn't find a grieving husband. I found him tenderly cradling his ex-girlfriend, Casie, in his arms, his face lit with a protective warmth he had never shown me as he carried her into the maternity ward. The betrayal went deeper than I could have imagined. Adam admitted the affair started on our third anniversary-the night he claimed he was stuck in London for a merger. Back at the manor, his mother had already filled our planned nursery with pink boutique bags for Casie's "little princess." When I demanded a divorce, Adam didn't flinch. He sneered that I was "gutter trash" from a foster home and that I'd be begging on the streets within a week. To trap me, he froze my bank accounts, cancelled my flight, and even called the police to report me for "theft" of company property. I realized then that I wasn't his partner; I was a charity case he had plucked from obscurity to manage his life. To the Hortons, I was just a servant who happened to sleep in the master bedroom, a "resilient" woman meant to endure his abuse in silence while the whole world laughed at the joke that was my marriage. Adam thought stripping me of his money would make me crawl back to him. He was wrong. I walked into his executive suite during his biggest deal of the year and poured a mug of sludge over his original ten-million-dollar contracts. Then, right in front of his board and his mistress, I stripped off every designer thread he had ever paid for until I was standing in nothing but my own silk camisole. "You can keep the clothes, Adam. They're as hollow as you are." I grabbed my passport, turned my back on his billions, and walked out of that glass tower barefoot, bleeding, and finally free.
