From crazily chasing behind her crush, who rejected her, she found herself falling for her contracted husband, who was arrogant.   "Am I not looking attractive?" Abby asked, pulling his face closer to her by the collar.   "A lot!" Steven mumbled.   "What about my attitude? Is it bothering you?"   "No!" Steven said. Actually, it did at first.   "Will you oppose if I say I want to get pleasured by you?"   Steven shocked. His heartbeat, which had been throbbed all the while, now stopped for a second.   Abby is now seeking his touch, but when she has no choice but to choose him as her contract husband, she soulfully hates his arrogance.   Just jump into the story to know how she falls for him despite having personal hate towards him and also how his arrogance turned into softness for her.

Chapter 1 1- Marriage

His sustainable fondle over her neck pulled her eyes to track him. With his spontaneously glowing dragon-like eyes, he intensively gazed at her conflicted eyes. That triggered an instant arousal of her heartbeat.

A mild gasp escaped her lips. "Steve..."

"Hmm?" His velvety voice was heard in proximity to her ear.

That rushed something between her legs, getting her blushed cheek into his sight.

Another mild gasp released, "You..."

When he separated her legs, she couldn't decide whether to stop him or obey him. However, she kept maintaining eye contact with Steven, who was leering at her lips intensively.

His hand grasped her waist tenderly and pulled her onto him as their private area, which was still undressed, could get a sudden touch on each other.

Abigail's eyes went wide as she perceived an unfamiliar, essential rapture spread throughout her body.

"Do you want it?" Steven asked, swirling his finger over her front neckbone. His steady gaze at her was evident that he desperately wanted to enjoy her.

With her mellowed look, she replied desirably, "Yes!"

[Four months ago]

On one fine day, while Abigail was having breakfast with her father, her father brought up the conversation, "Is it your final year?"

She nodded since her mouth filled with food, "Hmm."

He slid the non-harmonic man's photo in proximity to her bowl, asking, "Does he look good?"

She gave a disgusted look at that man's photo. "Ewww!"

"Then he is the groom," he declared.

"Groom?" She conflicted. "To whom?" She flashed a surprised look.

"You!" He voiced firmly with a serious face.

She choked up but not in surprise; her face had held a hint of dread. She swallowed creepily, witnessing the stern expression on her father's face.

Ever since she was born, she had never spoken against him. Furthermore, this was the first time her father forced her to select something that she didn't deserve.

She dropped her sight on her plate and, finishing that hurriedly, she excused herself in a faint tone, "I have a presentation today; let me leave first."

With an exhausted look on her face, she left the house as her father picked up the groom's photo.

As soon as she stepped out of the house, she stomped her feet rigidly on the ground, muttering under her breath angrily, "Did he ever see me as his princess? Shit! How can he go far in this matter? I hate this father!" She then walked along the empty street. Yet her cursing mouth didn't appear to go calm.

"Whatever! I will never allow a non-human to be your partner." Her father mumbled, staring at the groom's photo.

At the college, she discussed this matter with her only friend, Annie.

"How about you propose to your crush, Duri, and ask him to marry you?" Annie proposed the idea right away.

Dither leased her face.

"What are you hesitating for? You told me he had kissed you once." Annie pulled out the past, embarrassed her.

She licked up her lips, voiced mortified, "That was a lie."

"What?" Annie felt a gigantic rock fall on her head. To Abby's (short for Abigail) prosperity, Annie glimpsed that handsome-looking man, Duri, coming towards them.

"Your last chance is coming to you," Annie whispered and left without even exposing Duri, who almost approached them.

"Abby," His plucky, lovely voice earned Abby's attention right away.

"Senior?" She stammered her Irish didn't find a spot to stay still.

Observing her flutter-scattering face, he queried concernedly, "Did anything bother you?"

Abby shifted her glance to Annie, who was encouraging her to hide behind the pushes.

Abby stood up. Landing her gaze on the sandy ground, she proposed, "Do you have feelings for me?" Looking up at him steadily, she corrected, "Do you see me as a woman?"

A brief sigh escaped his lips, which elaborated his disapproval. Despite that, she waited for his answer in words.

"Sorry, Abby." He rejected her politely. "I see you as my friend only." He explained and tried to convince her when he spotted regret hanging on her face.

"Oh, thank you." She managed to act normal. Scratching her hair, she walked off him.

"Aren't you coming to see my presentation?" Duri asked, shouting since she was getting far away from her.

"I have classes," she shouted back, showing her back, and kept walking forward.

As she disgruntled, walking past Annie, Annie glazed pity for her. Glaring intensively at Duri, who was heading to the class, she threw a stone at him. "You deserve this bitch!" She cursed under her breath.

Unfortunately, that hit his head. "Ouch!" He groaned.

"Oh! Oops!" Annie panicked right away.

He veered around and found no one.

"Thank god!" Annie took a deep breath, hiding behind the pushes.

Day passed swiftly for Abby, who desperately wanted to live this single life for a little too long. Sitting at the bus stop, her anguished eyes watched every vehicle that passed the road.

Her phone rang. That barely reached her ear. Once everyone emptied the bus stop, she took out the alcoholic drink and gulped it in raw.

Her phone kept ringing.

*33 missed calls from Dad*

She shrugged as if her life was going to end miserably and continued to sip the leftover drinks.

At the multi-story building, there was a ventilated office room, which spoke for tidiness and tranquillity. A well-handsome, gorgeous-looking young man sat in the chair with his left leg crossed, swirling the ring in his hand by the fingers. That ring had a tiny red dragon symbol on it.

"Your owner made a big mistake." His silvery-toned voice spoke to that ring. A disquiet sigh swirled out his lips as his feasible gaze fixed on that ring. "He made me stuck in this world."

Meanwhile, he glanced at the clock, which almost approached midnight. "It's time to sleep," he said, putting that ring on his finger. He rushed out of the office.

When he passed the bus stop, where Abby was drunkenly sleeping, he spotted a strange man acting weird.

He pulled back the car and stopped it directly opposite that bus stop and found that strange man leering at Abby's fair legs, which were exposed because of her slid skirt.

He grunted his teeth, annoyed. "Why are humans crazy about this everywhere?" He voiced tautness. Before that man's hand approached her, he pressed the horn, startled that man, and awakened Abby, too.

"Aish! Really!" Abby shouted furiously, which scared that man away.

She sat up straight. Still, she failed to notice her legs were exposing.

"Is she drunk?" He subtly narrowed at her.

She continued to doze off again. This time she maintained to lean back on the chair instead of lying.

Noticing that the stranger was waiting for the opportunity, he got out of the car and came over there.

That man walked off disappointedly as soon as receiving a death stare from him.

Not to delay, he paused with a surprised look on his face instantly after getting a great view of Abby. "Natalia?" He voiced faintly. His eyes were overwhelmed with surprise.

Even in sleep, she offered him a mild slap, whispering, "I'm Abby, Abby for Abigail."

"Abby?" He was extremely conflicted.

A lutering glow from his ring finger called for his attention. He couldn't believe what was going on here.

"Is she really Natalia?" He queried cautiously, gazing at that lutering ring.

That ring glows brightly as much as it can beat the street light.

She slapped his thigh. But this time hardly. "I'm Abby!" With half-closed eyes, a drunken voice, and an unstable body, she corrected him.

"Ahhh!" He grunted as her slap triggered a brief, sharp burning sensation on his thigh.

"Where is your house?" He questioned, lifting her face to face him.

With partially opened eyes, she complimented him, "Your eyes look gorgeous."

He dodged her like it was nothing and repeated, "Where is your house?"

"My dad told me not to tell strangers where our house is." She declared, regretting it right away, "No! He is not my daddy. So I can tell." She regretted that also by saying, "That's still his house, not mine."

A deep, annoyance-shaded sigh blew out from his lips. "How much did you drink?" He checked her college bag, which had four empty bottles.

As she found his arms like billows, she leaned her head on them and began to doze off comfortably while he opened her phone, glimpsing the 33 missed calls from her father.

He unfurled his hand from her head away and dialled her father.

She offered him a harsh slap on his forearm right away, warning, "Stay in place!"

He stressed out visibly. Grinding his teeth, he stretched his hand for her, exasperated.

She then leaned her head on it and dozed off adorably. However, he found it abusive. Despite that, he managed to dial her father.

"Hello?" Her father answered it; he was breathless as if he had 10 laps.

"Are you Abby's father?" He questioned to confirm it first.

Sensing that was a man's voice, her father's face struck out sceptical, and he voiced rudely, "Who are you? Why do you have my daughter's phone?" However, he couldn't frame his heart, which was fluttering in fear.

"Let's get married," Mia declares, her voice trembling despite her defiant gaze into Stefan's guarded brown eyes. She needs this, even if he seems untouchable. Stefan raises a skeptical brow. "And why would I do that?" His voice was low, like a warning, and it made her shiver even though she tried not to show it. "We both have one thing in common," Mia continues, her gaze unwavering. "Shitty fathers. They want to take what's ours and give it to who they think deserves it." A pointed pause hangs in the air. "The only difference between us is that you're an illegitimate child, and I'm not." Stefan studies her, the heiress in her designer armor, the fire in her eyes that matches the burn of his own rage. "That's your solution? A wedding band as a weapon?" He said ignoring the part where she just referred to him as an illegitimate child. "The only weapon they won't see coming." She steps closer, close enough for him to catch the scent of her perfume, gunpowder and jasmine. "Our fathers stole our birthrights. The sole reason they betrayed us. We join forces, create our own empire that'll bring down theirs." A beat of silence. Then, Stefan's mouth curves into something sharp. "One condition," he murmurs, closing the distance. "No divorces. No surrenders. If we're doing this, it's for life" "Deal" Mia said without missing a beat. Her father wants to destroy her life. She wouldn't give him the pleasure, she would destroy her life as she seems fit. ................ Two shattered heirs. One deadly vow. A marriage built on revenge. Mia Meyers was born to rule her father's empire (so she thought), until he named his bastard son heir instead. Stefan Sterling knows the sting of betrayal too. His father discarded him like trash. Now the rivals' disgraced children have a poisonous proposal: Marry for vengeance. Crush their fathers' legacies. Never speak of divorce. Whoever cracks first loses everything. Can these two rivals, united by their vengeful hearts, pull off a marriage of convenience to reclaim what they believe is rightfully theirs? Or will their fathers' animosity, and their own complicated pasts tear their fragile alliance apart?
