My name is Ashley, my older sister is just a year and a month older than me and is named Audrey. We have an older brother named Amir. I, Ashley, am 17, my older sister is 18 and our older brother is 21. We come from a family that is not very rich but still manages to provide for itself. My sister and I are not twins but we are as alike as two peas in a pod with the same height. I love my sister very much and she loves me very much, or at least that is what I always thought. Will jealousy take over my sister and our sibling relationship?

A stolen life Chapter 1 The eighteen birthday

Today is my older sister Audrey Gomez's eighteenth birthday. Everything was organized by our older brother. It will be a fairly simple party but with those she loves, that is, some members of our family, our older brother and I and also with her boyfriend John. John comes from a family in our neighborhood. We go to the same school.

My sister is not very in love with John. However, John is very in love with Audrey and does everything he can to make her happy, which is never enough for Audrey.

My sister is in a relationship with John so she doesn't stay single because her best friend Rebecca persuaded her to say yes just to play with him so she doesn't stay alone when they go out with friends.

***In Audrey's room***

So how are you feeling sis? Ashley asked her,

Old. Nothing else, replied Audrey.

You shouldn't feel old. You're just funny.

- I'm not kidding Ashley. I feel old compared to you. You're so young and I'm already getting old.

– you seem to be becoming pathetic. How can you say such a thing? Each of us is getting older with each passing day no matter how old we are. Why compare yourself to me, besides we are only 13 months apart in age.

- It seems like your 18th birthday is making you lose your mind.

- You're probably right. I'm talking nonsense.

- In short, everyone is already ready downstairs. I came up to tell you before you started talking nonsense. John is here too.

It was while discussing this that Rebecca entered, saying,

Ashley go out, I have to talk to my best friend.

I'm not surprised, Ashley replied. Every time you see me, you have to make a fool of me to feel comfortable. I'm leaving, but I'm especially angry with Audrey who lets you treat me like that. I don't know what you blame me for, Rebecca, to treat me like that every time we're in the same room.

Then Ashley left Audrey's room.

Rebecca went to close the door and came back to tell Audrey,

This idiot doesn't know what's in store for her. She makes me so angry.

Audrey started laughing and said,

And John?

He's downstairs, waiting for you with a bouquet of wilted flowers just like his meaningless life. So he thinks you're already his what? He doesn't know what's in store for him.

Audrey laughed out loud again. Then she said,

if only he knew what awaited him.

***In Ashley's room***

She still feels very humiliated once again by this behavior of Rebecca. All alone then in her room, she thought about why her sister never took her defense every time Rebecca treated her like that. This has been going on since she was 12 years old.

It started a few weeks after their parents died in a terrible car accident, more precisely a few days after their funeral. Ashley at the age of 12 was returning from school with her parents in their vehicle. That day, Audrey and Amir had not gone to class. A young man in a luxury car was driving in the opposite direction. The young man was 16 years old at that time and had his driving license with the authorization of his parents. His father is a very famous man in the city. He is the general practitioner who owns the private clinic which has almost all the medical equipment. This young man named Mike is the only child of his parents. He was talking to his father who was in the passenger seat and laughing when he collided with Ashley's parents' vehicle. Ashley was in the back.

Mike's father immediately called his clinic for an ambulance but before the ambulance arrived, Ashley's parents lost their lives.

As a child, Ashley didn't understand what was happening. However, she knew her brother Amir's phone number.

After contacting Ashley's brother, their parents' bodies were buried a few weeks later.

In front of their parents' grave, Mike made a promise to be Ashley's future husband, which his father approved of.

As for Mike's father, he has resolved to take care of all the financial needs of the children who are Amir, Audrey, and Ashley.

So Mike and Ashley have been in a relationship for 5 years even though their relationship really started when Ashley celebrated her 16th birthday.

So it's been a year since Mike and Ashley's romantic relationship actually started. Before that, they were just very close friends because Mike saw that Ashley was too small to explain to her the meaning of a romantic relationship, but as soon as she turned 16, she understood a lot of things and the two were already madly in love with each other from spending a lot of time together.

*** End of flashback ***

Now being in her room thinking about Rebecca's behavior earlier, Ashley's phone started ringing.

The call was from her boyfriend Mike.

A smile immediately appeared on her face after seeing the number calling her.

She picked up the call with a wide smile and heard,

So how is the coolest girlfriend on the planet doing?

very good every time she hears her prince charming's voice.

- I hope you are well my dear

now yes, otherwise Rebecca had upset my morale a little

oooh your sister's famous best friend. Don't let her ruin your sister's party. Speaking of which, I hope you enjoyed the party thrown by the event service my dad hired?

Yes, darling. Everything is perfect and very well organized. I enjoyed it anyway. We will never stop thanking you and your parents for everything you have done for my sister, my brother and me since that famous tragic day.

Let's not talk about it please, sweetie. You know that I went through several sessions of psychological therapy to forgive myself for having been the cause of this accident. So I don't like to remember that day.

This day was the saddest of my life. Anyway, let's change the subject.

- I guess you still miss your parents

- exactly, all the gold and silver in the world will never be able to replace them

- You're right. Nevertheless I will always make you feel less the pain of their tragic departure

Thank you my love. I love you

I love you too

Suddenly Ashley's bedroom door opened and Rebecca came screaming in,

Your sister is about to cut the cake and what are you doing here?

I'll call you back my love, Ashley said then ended the phone call.

Then she said to Rebecca,

In exactly one month, I'm going to be 17. So I'm not that little girl you used to yell at every time you felt like it. And for your information, I don't like it when you come into my room like that. You just ended my boyfriend and I are in conversation.

Then Ashley walked out of the room to join the others.

All alone, Rebecca began to laugh, saying to herself:

your lover? Okay, okay.

I Slapped My Fiancé-Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé. Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now-billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn't mind. I'd crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one? Wrong. One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That's when it hit me-he didn't love me. He didn't even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn't even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup. So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster-my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise. Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol. Enter him. Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I'd met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes. It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised. But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life. And, as it turned out, the best decision I'd ever made. Because my one-night stand isn't just some random guy. He's richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with. And now, he's not letting me go.

The heavy iron gates of the Wilderness Correction Camp groaned as they released me after three years of state-sponsored hell. I stood on the dirt road, clutching a plastic bag that held my entire life, waiting for the family that claimed they sent me there for "rehab." My brother, Brady, picked me up in a luxury SUV only to throw me out onto a deserted highway in the middle of a brewing storm. He told me I was a "public relations nightmare" and that the rain might finally wash the "stink" of the camp off me. He drove away, leaving me to limp miles through the mud on a snapped ankle. When I finally dragged myself to our family estate, my mother didn't offer a hug; she gasped in horror because my muddy clothes were ruining her Italian marble. They didn't give me my old room back. Instead, they banished me to a moldy gardener’s shack and hired a "babysitter" to make sure I didn't embarrass them further. My sister, Kaleigh, stood there in white cashmere, pretending to cry while clinging to her fiancé, Ambrose—the man who had once been mine. They all treated me like a volatile junkie, refusing to acknowledge that Kaleigh was the one who planted the drugs in my bag three years ago. They wanted to believe I was broken so they wouldn't have to feel guilty about the "wellness retreat" that was actually a torture chamber. I sat in the dark of that shed, feeling the cooling gel on the cigarette burns that covered my arms, and realized they had made a fatal mistake. They thought they had erased me, but I had returned with a roadmap of scars and a hidden satellite phone. At dinner, I didn't beg for their love. I simply rolled up my sleeves and showed them the price of their silence. As the wine spilled and the lies crumbled, I sent a single text to the only person I trusted: "I'm in. Let them simmer." The hunt was finally on.

My five-year-old daughter was dying in the ICU, her heartbeat replaced by the continuous, electronic scream of a flatline. I gripped her cold hand, my throat sealed shut by a terror so absolute I couldn't even cry out. I dialed my husband Grayson's private number, the one reserved only for me and his assistants. He declined the call instantly. A second later, a text buzzed against my palm: "In a meeting. Do not disturb. Stop calling." Five miles away, Grayson was at a luxury gala, adjusting his silk tie and laughing with Belle Escobar. He told her I was just being "dramatic" and using our daughter's "fever" as an excuse to avoid the event. He had no idea Effie's heart had already stopped. When I finally reached our penthouse, soaked from the rain and carrying Effie's small socks in a plastic bag, Grayson didn't even look at me. He snapped at me for ruining the hardwood floors and asked if I'd left Effie with the nanny just to "feel sorry for myself." Three days later, while I buried our daughter in a small, lonely ceremony, Grayson was at the Hamptons. Belle posted a photo of him golfing with the caption: "A mental health day with the boys." He didn't even attend the funeral, but he returned home demanding I clear out Effie's room to make a study for Belle's son. The injustice burned through me until there was nothing left. I swallowed a handful of sleeping pills, desperate to join my daughter. But instead of the darkness, I woke up to blinding lights and the scent of Grayson's expensive cologne. I was standing in a ballroom, wearing a blue silk dress I had already burned. Above me, a banner read: "Happy 5th Birthday Kaiden & Effie." I was back, exactly one year before the tragedy. This time, I wasn't going to be the grieving wife. I was going to be their worst nightmare.
