Her Dangerous Secret Chapter 1 PROLOGUE

"Who ordered you?"

A question. Controlled. No nonsense. Just waiting for her prey to answer

No one else could hear their conversation, as they were in a basement, that connected to their HQ

The guy couldn't respond due to the fear coursing through him, knowing that his life could be snuffed out in a matter of seconds

She stood up. Choke him, nails digging into his neck. No words escape just testing her prey

"Who!"

She ask again but this time firm. No emotion. Cold. Commanding

"I-I don't know!"

She pulled out her gun, shot his leg, and threw him against the wall

"Y-you fucking bitch!,"he yelled in anger and pain, blood dripping from his mouth as he trembled

Her lips slightly twist but didn't smile. She just know, she's winning

She get something from her impeccably shiny and sharp black boots. A black dagger, with a letter D engraved on its handle and a crown etched upon it

"Let's do something entertaining"

Not a question but a statement. She lean in the chair, slow and direct. But her expression unreadable

Everyone felt the shift in the air. A quiet, involuntary adjustment of the spine. Her men blinked, gulped, but didn't move

All of them just watched. Waiting for her next move

"W-what-?,"his eyes widened as he stared

"Let's play a game"

A simple words. But yet it gives shivers

"Simple lang ang laro. Answer my question or lose your finger"

She shifted and twirl the dagger in her hands. They flinched. Her lips twitched....just barely

The guy was sweating nervously, still enduring the pain. He wiped the blood dripping off his lips with his hand

"P-please, don't do this to me...,"he pleaded

She didn't move. Her eyes fix to him, dangerous and unapologetic. Hindi nya pinansin ang pakiusap nito

"First question, sinong nag-utos sayo na harangin sila?"

He swallowed nervously. Bumibilis na ang pintig ng puso nito hindi dahil sa masaya kundi dahil sa takot

"My B-boss"

Mas lalo lang lumamig ang ekspresyon ng babae at binigyan nya ito ng are-you-kidding-me-look?. Pero kalmado lang sya at nagsalita ulit

"Who's your boss?"

Anxiety and fear filled in his eyes, unsure of whether he should answer or not. His mouth opened, but no words escaped

"Time is ticking....and my patience is wearing thin"

"P-please s-stop, I....I can't s-say"

Parang tumigil ang oras at sa pagkakataong ito. Her lips twitch

"Wrong answer"

She flip his hand at sinimulang putulin ang daliri nito. Blood splattered, and the guy screamed in agony

"Acck! S-stop p-please!,"he cried, desperately trying to break free. He was gasping for air, drenched in sweat from the pain he felt

The table was now covered in blood, but she didn't stop until she had cut it completely. Then, she wiped her hands and the dagger with a white handkerchief

"Again, who's your boss?"

"S-stop, I can't handle this a-anymore,"pleaded the guy, his consciousness slipping away for a few seconds. Nanginginig na din ito dahil sa sakit

But she didn't care, she just stared at him who was struggling to speak. Didn't feel any care even just a little

"Then fucking answer my goddamn question!,"her words dripping with coldness, startling him

"I-I don't know! He wears a m-mask, and he has a tattoo of a l-lion on his hand....,"the guy said, blood spewing from his mouth as he spoke

The womans eyes immediately darken a little, but mask it again. Instead, she simply glanced at him, who was fighting for his life, and without a word, she swiftly decapitated him with her dagger

His fresh blood splattered on the table, but she didn't care. Didn't flinch. Instead, she leaned back on her chair, and instructing the others to clean up the mess

"Lion tattoo...,"she whispered in the air that no one can hear

She was the person everyone feared. Cold. Measured. Don't give a nonsense fuck. Heartless. Don't give explanation. And she's a mystery....

Shen Xiyan

I was once the princess of the Upper East Side, but now I’m just "debt wrapped in pretty skin." To keep my father alive in a federal penitentiary, I signed a contract I didn't fully understand. I thought it was about restoring my family's name, but producer Barnett Orr treated it like a bill of sale for my soul. Inside his limousine, the air smelled like gasoline and fear. Barnett didn't want a star; he wanted a victim. He bruised my jaw and ripped my vintage silk gown to shreds, laughing because he knew I couldn't fight back without signing my father's death warrant. "Don't forget who owns you, Felicity," he whispered. When he dragged me into Dewitt Knight’s penthouse party, I was a walking disaster. I huddled in Barnett’s oversized jacket, my lip bleeding and my spirit shattered. The elite crowd didn't see a victim; they saw a fallen girl selling herself for a role. A former rival poured red wine over me, and the room erupted in cruel laughter while Barnett told everyone he was just "testing my commitment." I looked up at the balcony, locking eyes with Dewitt Knight. He was a god in a bespoke suit, looking down at me with cold, lethal disgust. He didn't see the bruises or the desperation. He only saw a transaction he found beneath him. "So the rumors are true," he said, his voice cutting through the music. "The Aguilars really will do anything for money now. Even this." I was trapped between a monster who wanted to break me and a man who thought I was trash. No one cared that my father's life depended on my silence. When Barnett cornered me in a guest room later that night, his belt jingling like a death knell, I realized no one was coming to save a girl like me. I fought back with a crystal vase, shattering it against his shoulder, but I was drowning in my own terror. Just as Barnett lunged for my throat, the door was kicked off its hinges. Dewitt stood there, finally seeing the blood on the carpet and the map of purple bruises on my bare back. He chased the monster away, but I didn't feel safe. I locked the guest room door, wedged a chair under the handle, and slept with a silver letter opener pressed against my skin. When I crept into the kitchen at midnight and found him waiting in the shadows, I aimed the blade at his heart. "In this house, no one hurts you," he promised, his voice a low velvet rumble. But in a world where I had already been sold once, I knew that even protection came with a price I couldn't afford to pay.

The Billionaire's Secret Triplets: Mom's Revenge

HONEY MULLINS

Six years ago, I was a naive girl sold by my father to the powerful Sanders estate, only to be tossed onto the streets after a brutal assault they labeled "marital infidelity." I fled the country pregnant and broken, hiding from the shadow of a husband I had never even met. Now, I've returned to New York with my triplets to sign the final divorce papers and disappear forever. But Archibald Sanders-the man I was told was a crippled recluse-intercepted us with the cold precision of a predator. He didn't see the woman his family destroyed; he saw a gold-digger who had shamed his name. His security team hunted us to a grimy motel, using tactical force to snatch my children away and drag me to his glass-walled empire. In his office, he loomed over me, demanding a DNA test and threatening to throw me in prison while my babies were lost to the foster system. He was convinced I'd cheated, yet he stared at my sons with a haunting confusion, unable to ignore the stormy blue eyes that were a perfect mirror of his own. I stood there, paralyzed by his scent-the sharp tang of rain and expensive leather that triggered the icy dread of my worst nightmares. How could he accuse me of betrayal when he felt exactly like the monster who had shattered my life in that dark hotel room? "I'll sign anything," I sobbed, "just give me my kids." But the game changed when my five-year-old son hacked the tower's security, holding the skyscraper hostage to save me. In the chaos, a fragile, silent boy-Archibald's secret son-wandered into the room and reached for me as if I were his missing soul. Archibald's face turned to stone as he tore up the agreement and locked the doors. "Until I find out why my son is looking at you like that," he growled, "you aren't going anywhere."

Landslide

My bank account showed exactly $42.18, and my student loan notifications were flashing red. I lived in a sweltering Queens apartment with my Aunt Lydia, where the air was thick with the smell of stale frying oil and the constant threat of being homeless. Lydia handed me a grainy photo of a man twice my age and told me she had already "sold" me to him. He was a dry cleaner looking for a wife, and in exchange for my hand, he would pay off her credit cards and my debt. If I didn't show up for the date that night, my boxes would be on the curb by midnight. I arrived at the cafe in a state of panic, my selective mutism making it impossible to even breathe. In the crowded room, I accidentally sat at the wrong table. Instead of the man from the photo, I found myself facing Gerhard Holcomb—the cold, terrifyingly handsome billionaire whose family owned the very museum where I worked. He didn't send me away; instead, he studied my trembling hands and offered me a different deal: a two-year contract marriage, a two-million-dollar payout, and a strict clause forbidding any children. I signed the papers and moved into his Park Avenue penthouse, thinking I was finally safe. But when I went back to the old apartment to retrieve the only memento of my dead parents, Lydia lashed out, leaving me bleeding from a head wound. Gerhard’s retaliation was absolute—he had her arrested and her building foreclosed on within hours, claiming he was simply "protecting his assets." As I recovered in his silent, glass-walled home, I saw a call from a famous socialite flash on his phone, and a cold truth settled in my gut. I wasn't just a wife; I was a placeholder, a silent shield used to fend off the women from his past. I looked at the massive pink diamond on my finger and realized the silence I had lived in my whole life was about to become my most expensive prison. I had traded a life of poverty for a high-stakes game of shadows, and now I had to survive the man who claimed to own me.

SHANA GRAY

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.
