Please, Call Me Auntie Chapter 1 The Betrayal

Soraya

I've been sitting in the same position on the couch with my legs under me for the past couple of hours to the point where my legs have gone numb, tears have dry and gone on my face, while i was still trying to understand where I went wrong I gave the man my all I work to make his company become what it is today which is very successful, I am say, I took care of his mother and sister only for him to turn around and betray me like that.

Not with a stranger but with someone I consider a friend, someone who saw me at my lowest, someone I trusted, treated her like a sister, and took her into my house when she was getting evicted. It hurts so bad that those same two people saw that it was okay to hurt me like that. I still can't wrap my mind around everything that has happened. I couldn't stop thinking about how everything just fell apart in a matter of seconds. It dont make sense to me, and it will never make sense to me.

Even when I think back about it all, I can't find where I went wrong. I came home from a two-week seminar for a fashion show with my mentor, and during that time, all I could think about was how lonely Jasper would be. It was my first time being away for that long since we had been together. I was anxious to get home to him, yes, I was the type of girl who loved with every fiber in her body. When I looked at him, the man stole my heart; it was love at first sight. We have been dating for five years and are about to get married. You could see love was all I felt when I looked at him, so it was hard for me to focus on work while he was away, especially when he barely answered my call or text. I got worried about him after my group finished their presentation. I asked my mentor if I could go home early, and she agreed.

I figured I'd surprise him since he didn't answer my calls or texts. Only I was the one who got the surprise instead when I walked into my house to find my sweet, loving fiancé shirtless, holding a very giggling Joy in his arms against the wall, kissing and biting on each other. For a second, I see nothing but black. I thought I passed out because my breathing was coming short. My hands were shaking. When I opened my eyes, they were still in their world. Seeing them like this brought me back to when I asked him about trying new things in the bedroom. He said he wasn't interested. Now, with the evidence in my face, I realized it's not that he wasn't interested; he didn't want to do them with me. The truth of that hurt more than I would've liked it to be.

" What in the HELL IS GOING ON HERE!?" I asked as I closed the door with a loud noise.

The noise startled them, and Jasper almost dropped Joy to the floor. He caught her at the last minute, and they both stared at me like they had just seen a ghost. Maybe they have, since I wasn't supposed to be back until Friday.

" What are you doing here?" they both asked with shock.

Taking off my jacket and kicking my shoes off, I cocked my head to the side and asked, " Where else should I be if not here?" I was putting my hair in a messy bun over my head.

" Uhm, at your seminar thing, " Jasper says while trying to put his shirt back on.

With a dry laugh, I said, "Wouldn't you like that? Uh, im out, so you guys can have time to continue what you were doing." I moved closer to where they were standing.

"It's not wh-" I cut Joy off by putting my palm in front of her face. I don't want to hear anything from her right now.

" We are supposed to get married in three days. I returned so we could try on the wedding clothes you never have time to do," I explained to him while removing my jewelry.

" Why are you removing your jewelry?" He asks, stepping back from me, " I already did that with Joy." Good, the further in the house you go, the better for me.

" Well, Honey, you see when you walked in on your best friend and Fiancé doing things they shouldn't. " I pick up the vase on the table. " You tend to get angry, and angry people get out of hand!" I yelled at him just as I swung the vase at his head, leaving him stumbling back with a bleeding head.

I wasn't a violent person, but there are things that people do to you that can't just go unpunished, so sometimes a little violence will do, like in this moment, anything I do to them is justified. Looking around the room, I found my baseball bat that my brother insisted I keep. God bless your soul, Scott.

Picking it up, I swung it into his back while he was on the floor. I lifted the bat over my head for another hit, but Joy pushed me out of the way.

" You can't do that! This is wrong!" Joy said while trying to help Jasper to his feet since he had fallen from the blow.

" Why not?! This is my house! After everything that I have done for you two, that's how you choose to repay me." I stood there, bat in hand, full of adrenaline, ready to swing.

" YOU CHOOSE TO DO THOSE THINGS!! I didn't ask you for them," that bastard yelled. "Because I love you," I say, suddenly losing my voice. He was right.

He didn't ask me for any of these things. I unthinkingly did them because I thought that's how you show love for someone you love and care for.

" I never loved or cared for you," He says coldly, pulling Joy closer. " Joy has always been the woman in my heart, not you." His words made me lose my balance.

I sat on the chair, trying to understand how I could go wrong in my first relationship. " So, I was the third wheel in this relationship?" More myself than them.

" Yes, at times you were good for something, but now that Joy, the richest man's daughter, is back in my arms, I don't need you anymore," The bastard proudly said, like he accomplished something.

Laughing hysterically, I couldn't help but point a finger at Joy and say, "She's the daughter of the richest man?" Oh, God, these two are funny.

Joy? The daughter of the wealthiest man? Oh, Lord, I didn't think I could laugh in the position they put me in, but I can't help it. I started to laugh hysterically, and tears ran down my face as I bent over the chair. Whether it was from happiness or sadness, I didn't care.

This might be my first relationship. One thing I'm not going to let them do is paint me as a victim, no, I'm a fighter, and im going to fight till I make these two pay for the humiliation that I have suffered today, getting on my feet. I say, " Get the hell out of my house!" I open the door to the room for them.

Once they reach the front door and walk out of the house, I close the door in their faces when they get to the other side with a loud bang, " Good riddance."

All that happened two hours ago, and I'm still sitting where I have been since they left. I cried, dried my eyes, and thought about everything I could do to hurt them, but in the end, I picked up the phone and called Sky. She is my childhood friend. She never liked Joy, so maybe I should've listened to her.

" You were right," I told her when she answered.

"You're going to have to be more specific about what I was right about," she says.

Sigh, "About Joy, you were right," I say again.

I got her attention. " Oh, sweetie, what did that woman do?"

I told her everything, and by the time I was done, she said, "I'm on my way." She hung up before I could stop her.

Sky was the one who got me out of the fatal position the minute she walked into the house. " Oh hell no, girl, we will not let those bastards win." She grabbed my hand and dragged me to the main bedroom. " You kicked them out, and now we throw their stuff away," she says gleefully. I couldn't help but join in her excitement.

We packed their clothes for the next thirty minutes, and when we were done, Sky grabbed my arm and said, "We're going out, so go get change."

I didn't have any energy to fight or disagree with her; instead, I went to grab a shower, dressed in my tightest skin purple dress, curled my hair, and put some makeup on before going downstairs to meet her.

I found her putting the suitcases out. " What are you doing with those?" I ask her because she seems to enjoy herself too much.

"I'm putting the trash out. Come on, help me with the last one." I did what she asked, and I have to say I find some comfort seeing all that stuff in the garbage.

" Now, we're partying!! " she yelled at the top of her lungs, and I let her lead me to the car waiting for us with a big smile.

I went to the City Clerk’s office for a routine copy of my marriage license to finalize a trust fund audit. I expected a simple piece of paper, but the clerk’s pitying look told me my entire life was a lie. "The license was never finalized, Ms. Oliver. In the eyes of the state, you are single." The three-hundred-guest wedding at the Plaza and the Vogue features meant nothing. My husband, Gray Cooley, had intentionally filed the documents with a "procedural defect" so he could discard me without a legal divorce. Moments later, an iCloud invite titled "Our Little Secret" popped up on my screen. It was a photo of my best friend, Brylee, holding a positive pregnancy test at our Hamptons estate. Gray’s text to her was the final blow: "Happy anniversary, babe. This baby is the best gift. Once the trust unlocks today, we’re done with the charade." I soon discovered they were even stealing my career, reassigning my architectural masterpiece to Brylee while preparing my eviction notice. Gray's mother called me a "barren mule" in a leaked recording, mocking the infertility I suffered after saving Gray’s life in a construction accident. I wasn't a wife; I was a three-year placeholder used to secure his inheritance. How could the man I bled for treat me like a disposable prop? How could my best friend carry his child while pretending to comfort me through my darkest moments? The betrayal burned until it turned into a cold, hard stone of fury. I didn't cry. Instead, I walked into the penthouse of the Barretts, the Cooleys' most powerful rivals. I signed a marriage contract with Kane Barrett, the man the tabloids called the "Beast of Wall Street." "I want a wedding," I told his father, my voice steady and lethal. "Bigger than the one I had with Gray." If they wanted me gone, they would have to watch me become the woman who owns their world.

My five-year-old daughter was turning blue in my arms, her body rigid with a 104-degree fever. I called my billionaire husband, Clifton, dozens of times as I rushed to the hospital, but he declined every single call. While I was screaming at doctors and fighting to save our child’s life, a news alert flashed on my phone. Clifton was at the Met Gala, looking devastatingly handsome as he intimately draped his tuxedo jacket over the shoulders of his mistress, Eleanora. The nightmare didn't end at the hospital. Clifton used a secret clause in our prenup to snatch Lily from her bed and move her to a private facility without my consent. When I finally found her, my own daughter shrank away from me in terror. "Go away, bad Mommy!" she sobbed, while the mistress fed her oatmeal and whispered that I was the one who made the doctors hurt her. Clifton stood by and watched, telling me I was too "hysterical" to be a mother. But then I discovered the real reason they were hiding her. My husband was illegally using my late mother’s rare bone marrow samples to treat Eleanora’s secret blood disorder. Now that those samples are failing, he is taking Lily to a secluded castle in Germany to harvest our daughter’s marrow for his mistress. I sat in the dark, watching them play happy family with the child they plan to sacrifice. I realized then that my marriage wasn't just a lie—it was a biological harvest. They think I’m just a broken trophy wife who doesn't understand the science they are using to destroy me. They have no idea that I am "Ghost," the anonymous medical genius behind the very research they are trying to steal. As we board the private jet to Germany, I’ve stopped crying and started calculating. If they want to play with life and death, I’ll show them exactly what happens when a mother stops being a victim and starts being a predator.

For two years, I was the invisible force behind tech billionaire Kieran Douglas, convinced that our "private" romance was his way of protecting us from the tabloid spotlight. I managed his mergers, warmed his bed, and waited for a future that didn't exist. The illusion shattered at 6:00 AM when a Page Six alert debuted Kieran’s "real" romance with socialite Aspen Schneider. Before I could even process the betrayal, Kieran sent me a cold, professional text: "Order flowers for Aspen. Pink peonies. Her favorite." When I tried to walk away, my own mother called me a disgrace and threatened to lock my inheritance forever unless I married a sixty-year-old businessman to save her failing estate. At a high-society gala that same night, Aspen intentionally crushed my burned hand in front of the cameras, while Kieran stood by and dismissed me as a "mediocre assistant" who had overstayed her welcome. I stood in the cold New York rain, drenched in champagne and humiliation, realizing that every sacrifice I made for Kieran was a joke. I was a ghost in a penthouse that was never mine, discarded the moment his "soulmate" returned. To the world, I was just a placeholder whose time had run out. But Kieran forgot one thing: my father’s multi-million dollar trust fund unlocks the moment I legally marry. I didn't need love; I needed a signature and a shield. I walked into a discreet law firm and signed a marriage contract with a man I believed was the city’s most notorious, scandal-ridden playboy. I thought I was marrying a degenerate "beard" to buy my freedom and secure my revenge. I didn't realize the man who signed that paper wasn't a playboy at all, but Gaston Collins—the most powerful and dangerous man on Wall Street—and he had no intention of letting our fake marriage stay fake.

I was the titan of Wall Street until an indictment and an ankle monitor turned my penthouse into a gilded cage. To save face, I was forced into a marriage with Elza, a "mute" girl from the Schmidt family whom I treated as nothing more than a silent piece of furniture while my empire crumbled. The night I was poisoned at a high-society gala, a mysterious server in an oversized uniform saved my life with terrifying, clinical precision. They disappeared into the night, leaving me with a silver cufflink and a burning obsession to find the shadow who held my life in their hands. Back home, I took my frustration out on Elza, telling her she was "exhausting to look at" and "smelled like sickness" after her charity visits. Her own family treated her like a stray dog, trying to humiliate her at the next gala by dressing her in what they claimed was a cheap knockoff while whispering to the press that she was nothing but a high-end escort. "Stay out of my way," I would growl at her, never noticing the steel in her eyes. I sat at my table, watching my rivals' stocks plummet and wondering who "The Zero"—the legendary financial ghost—really was. I never suspected that the woman I ignored was the same one solving the equations that were currently burning Manhattan to the ground. The injustice peaked when Elza stood before the city's elite, not as a victim, but as a queen. She dropped over a hundred million dollars to buy back her family’s legacy, revealing a secret fortune that made my own empire look like pocket change. As I grabbed her wrist and saw the small red mole hidden beneath her watch, the truth hit me like a physical blow. The silent wife I had despised was the savior I had been hunting, and she was finally done playing the victim. "We have a lot to talk about, wife," I whispered, realizing I had been sleeping next to the most dangerous woman in the world.
