Adrian Cole lost everything the day he caught his wife in bed with his best friend. Humiliated and thrown out, he wakes to a cold voice in his head-offering him power, money, and influence... but only if he doesn't fight back. Every time he resists revenge, the system rewards him. But silence has a price. When Adrian learns his ex-wife is pregnant with his child-and her world is crumbling-he faces the ultimate choice: Stay silent and win. Or forgive... and begin again.

Chapter 1 Thrown Out

The elevator chimed.

Adrian Cole stepped out, holding a bag of groceries in one hand and a bottle of wine in the other.....He wore the same vintage Jessica had once called her favourite. He'd spent the entire day thinking of how to surprise her. After everything-her distant behavior, the sleepless nights-he'd hoped tonight would reset things.

The penthouse door was slightly open.

He frowned.

Jessica was meticulous. She never left the door open.

"Jess?" he called gently, pushing it open with his shoulder.

What he saw stole his breath.

Clothes gone.....tangled sheets. Moaning.

Michael and Jessica.

His best friend and his wife. Adrian stood in the doorway, shocked, as groceries fell to the floor. The wine bottle broke, sending red liquid across the marble like blood. Jessica screamed first and held the sheets to her chest. Michael just sat up slowly, running a hand through his tousled hair, not a trace of shame in his eyes. "Bro." "Almost amused," Michael said. "I never imagined you would return so quickly." Despite his clenched fists, Adrian remained motionless. His vision became tunnel-like and his heart pounded. Something stopped him from hitting him, even though he really wanted to. Leaping from her bed, Jessica snatched her robe. "Adrian, hold on, this isn't what it looks like-" With a voice like broken glass, he said softly, "Don't insult me."

"Let me explain," she pleaded. "I-I was going to tell you. It's not like we were even happy anymore!"

Adrian looked at her. This was the woman he had loved, defended, sacrificed for. The woman who used to fall asleep curled into his chest.

Michael stood up slowly, smug. "Look, man. It's better this way. You've been holding her back. You're broke, washed up-"

Before the words were fully out, Adrian stepped forward-and stopped.

A whisper echoed in his mind.

"Welcome, Host. First mission: Do not retaliate."

He blinked. What?

Michael tilted his head. "You good, man?"

Jessica folded her arms, the fear already draining from her face. "You don't have anything left, Adrian. No job, no inheritance, no influence. You can't even afford this penthouse. My father owns it."

Adrian stared at her, silence thick between them.

Jessica walked to the door and opened it. "You need to leave."

He almost laughed. "You're kicking me out?"

"You were a charity case to begin with," she snapped. "I married you to please my dad, and now even he's sick of you."

Adrian's jaw tightened. Then, without another word, he stepped outside. The door slammed behind him.

He stood in the hallway, staring at nothing.

Ten minutes later, building security came up. He didn't fight when they took his keycard, didn't resist when they escorted him to the ground floor like he was a trespasser in his own life.

The sky outside had opened up. Rain lashed against his face as he stepped into the street, soaked within seconds. People passed by without looking twice.

His phone buzzed.

[Account access denied.]

[Credit card declined.]

Every account, every line of credit-frozen. Jessica must've acted fast. Or maybe she'd planned this for weeks.

Adrian staggered to a bench and sat down, rain pooling around his feet. He laughed bitterly to himself, the sound swallowed by thunder.

And then it came again.

"Congratulations, Host. You resisted the urge to retaliate. Reward: $10,000 transferred to emergency account."

Adrian shot up, looking around. No one. Just rain, traffic, and the distant sound of city life.

"Who said that?" he whispered.

"Your system. Created by Dr. Eleanor Cole. Activating recovery protocols."

His mother's name slammed into him like a freight train.

She'd been gone for years. Brilliant. Mysterious. The woman who locked herself in labs and told him one day he'd understand. Could this be one of her projects?

His phone vibrated again-this time not with a rejection.

[New Account Created: Balance $10,000]

[Location: Emergency Vault - Host access only]

His hands trembled.

The rain eased into a drizzle as he stood up, the city lights blurring in his vision. He ducked into a 24-hour diner nearby, his soaked suit drawing a few stares.

He sat in a corner booth and ordered a coffee. No food. Not yet. He needed to think.

Who created this? Was he hallucinating? Some post-trauma breakdown?

But the money was real. He transferred some to his backup card-it worked.

"Dr. Eleanor Cole," he whispered. "Mom... what did you leave me?"

The voice returned, calm and mechanical, yet oddly soothing.

"You are not broken. You were betrayed. But revenge will destroy you. Rise in silence. Each time you resist, you'll gain more than you lost."

Adrian stared out the rain-specked window, coffee steaming in front of him.

No one had his back.

No friends. No family.

Just a voice in his head.

A system built by a dead mother.

And a single mission: Don't fall apart. Rise. Quietly. Ruthlessly.

Outside, the neon sign flickered.

Inside, Adrian smiled faintly for the first time.

Let them think he was nothing. Let them laugh.

They hadn't seen silence weaponized before.

New Mission: Do not answer Jessica's call. Reward: Access to private inheritance network.

Status: Incoming call – Jessica Benson.

His phone lit up.

He stared at it.

Let it ring.....Let her wonder....Let the game begin.:

He checks the new inheritance vault.

Balance: $250,000.

Owner: Dr. Eleanor Cole.

Access: Now unlocked.

I woke up in a blindingly white hotel penthouse with a throbbing headache and the taste of betrayal in my mouth. The last thing I remembered was my stepsister, Cathie, handing me a flute of champagne at the charity gala with a smile that didn't reach her eyes. Now, a tall, dangerously handsome man walked out of the bathroom with a towel around his hips. On the nightstand sat a stack of hundred-dollar bills. My stepmother had finally done it—she drugged me and staged a scandal with a hired escort to destroy my reputation and my future. "Aisha! Is it true you spent the night with a gigolo?" The shouts of a dozen reporters echoed through the heavy oak door as camera flashes exploded through the peephole. My phone lit up with messages showing my bank accounts were already frozen. My father was invoking the 'morality clause' in my mother’s trust fund, and my fiancé had already released a statement dumping me to marry my stepsister instead. I was trapped, penniless, and being hunted by the press for a scandal I hadn't even participated in. My own family had sold me out for a payday, and the man standing in front of me was the only witness who could prove I was innocent—or finish me off for good. I didn't have time to cry. According to the fine print of the trust, I had thirty days to prove my "rehabilitation" through a legal marriage or I would lose everything. I tracked the man down to a coffee shop the next morning, watching him take a thick envelope of cash from a wealthy older woman. I sat across from him and slid a napkin with a $50,000 figure written on it. "I need a husband. Legal, paper-signed, and convincing." He looked at the number, then at me, a slow, crooked smile spreading across his face. I thought I was hiring a desperate gigolo to save my inheritance. I had no idea I was actually proposing to Dominic Fields, the reclusive billionaire shark who was currently planning a hostile takeover of my father’s entire empire.

I sat on the cold tile floor of our Upper East Side penthouse, staring at the two pink lines until my vision blurred. After ten years of loving Julian Sterling and three years of a hollow marriage, I finally had the one thing that could bridge the distance between us. I was pregnant. But Julian didn't come home with flowers for our anniversary. He tossed a thick manila envelope onto the marble coffee table with a heavy thud. Fiona, the woman he'd truly loved for years, was back in New York, and he told me our "business deal" was officially over. "Sign it," He said, his voice flat and devoid of emotion. He looked at me with the cold detachment of a man selling a piece of unwanted furniture. When I hesitated, he told me to add a zero to the alimony if the money wasn't enough. I realized in that moment that if he knew about the baby, he wouldn't love me; he would simply take my child and give it to Fiona to raise. I shoved the pregnancy test into my pocket, signed the papers with a shaking hand, and lied through my teeth. When my morning sickness hit, I slumped to the floor to hide the truth. "It's just cramps," I gasped, watching him recoil as if I were contagious. To make him stay away, I invented a man named Jack-a fake boyfriend who supposedly gave me the kindness Julian never could. Suddenly, the man who wanted me gone became a monster of possessiveness. He threatened to "bury" a man who didn't exist while leaving me humiliated at his family's dinner to rush to Fiona's side. I was so broken that I even ate a cake I was deathly allergic to, then had to refuse life-saving steroids at the hospital because they would harm the fetus. Julian thinks he's stalling the divorce for two months to protect the family's reputation for his father's Jubilee. He thinks he's keeping his "property" on a short leash until the press dies down. He has no idea I'm using those sixty days to build a fortress for my child. By the time he realizes the truth, I'll be gone, and the Sterling heir will be far beyond his reach.

Nicole had entered marriage with Walter, a man who never returned her feelings, bound to him through an arrangement made by their families rather than by choice. Even so, she had held onto the quiet belief that time might soften his heart and that one day he would learn to love her. However, that day never came. Instead, he treated her with constant contempt, tearing her down with cruel words and dismissing her as fat and manipulative whenever it suited him. After two years of a cold and distant marriage, Walter demanded a divorce, delivering his decision in the most degrading manner he could manage. Stripped of her dignity and exhausted by the humiliation, Nicole agreed to her friend Brenda's plan to make him see what he had lost. The idea was simple but daring. She would use another man to prove that the woman Walter had mocked and insulted could still be desired by someone else. All they had to do was hire a gigolo. Patrick had endured one romantic disappointment after another. Every woman he had been involved with had been drawn not to him, but to his wealth. As one of the heirs to a powerful and influential family, he had long accepted that this pattern was almost unavoidable. What Patrick wanted was far more difficult to find. He longed to fall in love with a woman who cared for him as a person, not for the name he carried or the fortune attached to it. One night, while he was at a bar, an attractive stranger approached him. Because of his appearance and composed demeanor, she mistook him for a gigolo. She made an unconventional proposal, one that immediately caught his interest and proved impossible for him to refuse.
