It was pouring heavily.
At the cemetery, I knelt before Coco's grave.
It had been over a month since she died , yet I couldn't bear to stay away. The rain grew heavier, forcing me to leave earlier than usual. I stumbled home.
As I opened the door, a wave of stifling warmth hit me.
In the dim living room, William, his shirt torn open, had Sophie pinned on the sofa. His hands dug into her thighs. "William, faster!" Sophie cried, her back arching like a wild animal.
Sweat poured from his forehead in rivulets, splattering onto Sophie's flushed, wanton face.
"So tight, baby," William growled,. "Much tighter than that old woman . She was so worn - out, nothing like you."
William growled. After he finished, he sat up, lighting a cigarette.
Sophie, with a smug look, grabbed William's arm. "You had backups. Why use Vivian's daughter for my transplant?"
"William," she drawled, "you know Vivian's been torn apart by losing her daughter. You had backups for my heart transplant. So why did you choose her daughter?"
William's face turned to stone.
"Your safety is all that counts. I won't take any chances."
"But your daughter died hating you! When Vivian finds out, she'll kill you!"
My heart shattered into a million pieces.
I couldn't believe that William had killed our daughter Coco.
William fell silent for a moment. Suddenly, his eyes hardened, "She is just a bastard! Before we got married, she was probably fooling around with some random guy and had that child. I was kept in the dark for all these years!"
He gently cupped Sophie's cheek. "Blood tests prove she's not mine. If Vivian wants my life, let her take it. Your happiness is all I care about."
Her eyes sparkled with a mischievous glint as she playfully twirled a strand of her hair around her finger.
"Come on then," William growled.
He roughly dragged Sophie towards him. "Let me see just how much you've been pining for me."
