Let’s order from this other counter,Vie.” Soph said and dragged me to the other part where another one of the Sales person was standing at the counter. The two other girls continued their chattering and they went ahead to order the food. “I’m sorry about my room mates attitude,guys. They always like that.” Shirley said and Soph shrugged her shoulders. “They have apologised so I’ll let it go for now.” Soph said. “Well with all that said and done,can I pay for your lunch?Plus we can sit together and catch up. How’s that?” Shirley asked and Soph and I exchanged glances. “Yeah sure.” Soph said and Shirley nodded her head in happiness. Soph and I ordered plates of Spaghetti and Fish sauce,a plate for each of us,and then glazed doughnuts too. Then we ordered two bottles of coke,one for each of us. Shirley ordered a plate of Salad with boiled eggs. Then she ordered a strawberry,Kale and banana smoothie. Soph and I looked at each other and wondered why all of Shirley’s food orders were Veggie related. She never was a vegetarian before and hated the sound of Veggies while we were in high school. We decided to ignore it and she led us to an empty table and we all sat. Soph handed me my own tray of food to which I mouthed a Thank you to her. “Thanks for paying for our lunch,Shirley.” I said gratefully. “Nah its not a big deal. Besides,its all I could do to make up for my room mates bad attitude. Plus,take it as my own way of saying welcome to Our Prestigious University.” She said dramatically waving her hand around the area and Soph and I giggled. Shirley had always been a dramatic soul right from high school. She had the ability to make a little thing so big,plus she was really equally good at Acting. “Thanks Shirley. Your school is crazy big. I haven’t started to attend lectures yet,but I think I’m gonna enjoy my stay here.” Soph said and I rolled my eyes. “You haven’t done your Clearance yet,young lady. You don’t even know what date Orientation is going to hold,and you are already talking about attending Lectures.” I said. “I’m thinking towards the future,Vie. The future. Besides,once I’m able to get my clearance done,I’ll be told the orientation date,so you don’t have to be a kill joy.” She said rolling her eyes and Shirley giggled at our mini drama.”What are you studying here,Soph?” Shirley asked. “Economics.” She said simply. “You,Vie?” She asked me.”Economics too.” I said.”What about you?” I asked her,while taking a sip out of my coke. “Theatre arts.” She said and smiled. “I’m also into part time modelling.” She said and sipped from her smoothie. “Oh no wonder.I was wondering what was up with the Veggies here and there.” I said and take a forkful of spaghetti and put into my mouth. “Yeah,I’m trying to maintain a healthy weight gain.I’m not supposed to add weight beyond certain level so this helps me to keep in shape. Plus exercise and water therapy,I’m good to go. It doesn’t mean that I don’t eat other foods. Once in a while i eat unhealthy junk.” She said winking while taking another mouthful of salad into her mouth. She looked at her wristwatch. “Oops. I’ve gotta run now. I’ve got a late lecture in ten minutes.”She said and rushed to eat her boiled egg, “Well,can we have your number? You know in case,we need your help or advice in something while we are here.” Soph said and she nodded. “Sure.” She said.
