Chapter 1 1

I felt the cold hands move from my waist to my stomach, though I was asleep I could still feel the rough breath on my face.

Proceeding, the hands played with my pant waistband as if angered by the difficulty in pulling it, the hands tore my cloth and I couldn't do anything about it.

Like my body was being controlled, I felt my body moving and giving the cold figure access, I've always been protective about my body but now? I feel my body being caged in the hands of a stranger.

Clank! I felt it penetrate my body.

Previously, I had thought I would scream, but, I felt awkwardly comfortable with the penetration.

"Your blood is so pure, it's mine now!" I hear the voice talk with a domineering tone.

Sacred to the wit, However, I have no control over myself. I could only help but wonder when the dream was going to end.

The bright sun shone into the room, briskly, I opened my eyes. The room was strange, I sat up quickly after I noticed the room I was in was different.

I frowned as soon as my memory had been gathered, I knew I went out with Ella the other night after she had sign her wedding certificate and we got drunk.

She said she was going to drive me home before proceeding to her husband's house and here I am in an unknown room.

I find it awkward that I never got to meet her husband and from the way she sounds, it seems like she was not happy that she is going to get married.

I laid my fair leg on the floor only to feel pain as soon as I moved my thigh, I was scared but waved it off even though the pain was coming from between.

The thought that I am in another room shook me and I wondered what I was doing here.

Opening the door, I couldn't help but depend on the white wall for balance since I was feeling pain over my waist and between my legs.

With a small turn, I found myself facing a stair, this stair is different and fancy and it leads to a well-designed living room which I found myself going down to.

I looked around but wouldn't find anyone. The only thought that crossed my mind was to call out Ella's name, maybe she took me here by mistake.

"Ella?" I called. My voice came out small and low, it felt like I've been screaming which I know I didn't.

Another unknown turn, I found myself in the kitchen. The first thing I set my eyes on in the gorgeous kitchen was the fridge.

Quickly, my stomach yearned for it, I wouldn't blame it. Because of Ella's wedding, I was so busy planning things with my adoptive parents that I forgot to find something for myself to eat.

Without shame, I walked to the fridge to find something for myself only to be stunned by what I had seen.

The scene in front of me shook me that I couldn't withstand it. I fell to the floor at that point and scrawled back with my butt.

"Scared?" A calm voice sounded from the doorpost.

My eyes quickly glued to the person, this man is completely naked at the top side with a seducing playpant at the downside.

I almost poked out my eyes at the way I stared at him. I can't blame myself for it, the man in front of me is not only cute but each of his features are well outlined.

Remembering what I had seen earlier, I shook the thought of the handsome man in my presence and watch him come closer to me.

He did a little turn to the fridge and brought it out.

My eyes widened as he took a fine glass cup, he squeezed it inside the cup and send it to his mouth.

My mouth opened by itself, my eyes widened and I couldn't believe my sight.

Just now, I saw packs of blood in the fridge and.... this gorgeous man in front of me, picked one of it and gulped it down at once.

Who is this man?!

For seventeen years, I was the crown jewel of the Kensington empire, the perfect daughter groomed for a royal future. Then, a cream-colored envelope landed in my lap, bearing a gold crest and a truth that turned my world into ice. The DNA test result was a cold, hard zero percent-I wasn't a Kensington. Before the ink could even dry, my parents invited my replacement, a girl named Alleen, into the drawing room and treated me like a trespasser in my own home. My mother, who once hosted galas in my honor, wouldn't even look me in the eye as she stroked Alleen's arm, whispering that she was finally "safe." My father handed me a one-million-dollar check-a mere tip for a billionaire-and told me to leave immediately to avoid tanking the company's stock price. "You're a thief! You lived my life, you spent my money, and you don't get to keep the loot!" Alleen shrieked, trying to claw the designer jacket off my shoulders while my "parents" watched with clinical detachment. I was dumped on a gritty sidewalk in Queens with nothing but three trunks and the address of a struggling laborer I was now supposed to call "Dad." I traded a marble mansion for a crumbling walk-up where the air smelled of exhaust and my new bedroom was a literal storage closet. My biological family thought I was a broken princess, and the Kensingtons thought they had successfully erased me with a payoff and a non-disclosure agreement. They had no idea that while I was hauling trunks up four flights of stairs, my secret media empire was already preparing to move against them. As I sat on a thin mattress in the dark, I opened my encrypted laptop and sent a single command that would cost my former father ten million dollars by breakfast. They thought they were throwing me to the wolves, but they forgot one thing: I'm the one who leads the pack.

The heavy thud of the release stamp was the only goodbye I got from the warden after five years in federal prison. I stepped out into the blinding sun, expecting the same flash of paparazzi bulbs that had seen me dragged away in handcuffs, but there was only a single black limousine idling on the shoulder of the road. Inside sat my mother and sister, clutching champagne and looking at my frayed coat with pure disgust. They didn't offer a welcome home; instead, they tossed a thick legal document onto the table and told me I was dead to the city. "Gavin and I are getting engaged," my sister Mia sneered, flicking a credit card at me like I was a stray dog. "He doesn't need a convict ex-fiancée hanging around." Even after I saved their lives from an armed kidnapping attempt by ramming the attackers off the road, they rewarded me by leaving me stranded in the dirt. When I finally ran into Gavin, the man who had framed me, he pinned me against a wall and threatened to send me back to a cell if I ever dared to show my face at their wedding. They had stolen my biotech research, ruined my name, and let me rot for half a decade while they lived off my brilliance. They thought they had broken me, leaving me with nothing but an expired chapstick and a few old photos in a plastic bag. What they didn't know was that I had spent those five years becoming "Dr. X," a shadow consultant with five hundred million dollars in crypto and a secret that would bring the city to its knees. I wasn't just a victim anymore; I was a weapon, and I was pregnant with the heir they thought they had erased. I walked into the Melton estate and made an offer to the most powerful man in New York. "I'll save your grandfather's life," I told Horatio Melton, staring him down. "But the price is your last name. I'm taking back what's mine, and I'm starting with the man who thinks he's marrying my sister."

I woke up in a blindingly white hotel penthouse with a throbbing headache and the taste of betrayal in my mouth. The last thing I remembered was my stepsister, Cathie, handing me a flute of champagne at the charity gala with a smile that didn't reach her eyes. Now, a tall, dangerously handsome man walked out of the bathroom with a towel around his hips. On the nightstand sat a stack of hundred-dollar bills. My stepmother had finally done it—she drugged me and staged a scandal with a hired escort to destroy my reputation and my future. "Aisha! Is it true you spent the night with a gigolo?" The shouts of a dozen reporters echoed through the heavy oak door as camera flashes exploded through the peephole. My phone lit up with messages showing my bank accounts were already frozen. My father was invoking the 'morality clause' in my mother’s trust fund, and my fiancé had already released a statement dumping me to marry my stepsister instead. I was trapped, penniless, and being hunted by the press for a scandal I hadn't even participated in. My own family had sold me out for a payday, and the man standing in front of me was the only witness who could prove I was innocent—or finish me off for good. I didn't have time to cry. According to the fine print of the trust, I had thirty days to prove my "rehabilitation" through a legal marriage or I would lose everything. I tracked the man down to a coffee shop the next morning, watching him take a thick envelope of cash from a wealthy older woman. I sat across from him and slid a napkin with a $50,000 figure written on it. "I need a husband. Legal, paper-signed, and convincing." He looked at the number, then at me, a slow, crooked smile spreading across his face. I thought I was hiring a desperate gigolo to save my inheritance. I had no idea I was actually proposing to Dominic Fields, the reclusive billionaire shark who was currently planning a hostile takeover of my father’s entire empire.
