I Stalked A Psychopath Chapter 1 One

Life didn't have, much to offer and that's what Alissa learned at the age of twenty-one. She was in her first year of college and she couldn't say life was as glamorous as she thought it would be. She goes clubbing with some of her friends, Adrianna and Lexie but she didn't like it that much.

She didn't want to be left out of the College experience. She went into her dorm room and she lay down on her bed.

Alissa had a long day of lectures and she was feeling very exhausted. She stared at the ceiling and she was glad she made the right choice of renting a single room because she didn't think she could stand the loudness of a roommate at the moment.

She needed time for herself. After resting up a bit, she gets up and looks for some food in the fridge, but she has nothing. She always forgot to buy groceries on time.

That was the sad thing about living away from your parents you were all alone. You have to budget your money and all. It was proving to be a struggle for her. She rummaged through her purse and she found some money.

She knew that it wouldn't last her long as she sighed, she hated this. She went and took out her sneakers from under the bed and she put them on.

It was getting a bit chilly, so she put on a sweater. She did one take in the mirror and she noted that her brown hair was intact and her green eyes held a bit of a spark. She put on her glasses as she couldn't see without them when she was ready to be out the door.

She checked her phone for the time and she realized that it was four in the afternoon and the sun was already setting.

Alissa rushed out and she went down the street. She enjoyed the fresh air and the time for her to breathe a bit.

She was going to go to the coffee shop and get a sandwich and smoothie. She didn't feel like cooking nor did she have a lot of money to have other options.

She walked down a block and she finally noticed the coffee shop, she went and saw there was a bit of a queue which she didn't mind because at times it was worse when students received their allowances.

When she got to the front, she placed her order and she got a slip. "You may wait at the side, we will call you when your order is ready."

Alissa went and sat down. She took out her phone and as she expected she had got messages from her friends, wondering if they would all have dinner together.

She agreed to it and she told them that she was still getting supper, so she would be running a bit late.

"I would like the number eight."

Alissa looked up when she heard the voice. She had never heard such a beautiful voice and she was then met by a beautiful face.

I stood in the darkest corner of the Pierre Hotel’s ballroom, my cheap polyester dress itching against my skin while my wristband buzzed with a DARPA Priority Red alert. In front of the city’s elite, my fiancé Bryce Calloway took the stage, not to toast our future, but to publicly end our engagement and announce he was with my sister, Chloe. The room turned on me instantly, a hundred pairs of eyes pinning me down with pity and disgust as they physically backed away like I was contagious. When I returned home, my mother shattered a crystal vase at my feet, screaming that I was a humiliation and a "dropout" who didn't deserve a cent of the family fortune. Chloe and Bryce mocked me, laughing when I told them I had a mission with the National Security Agency, convinced I was either a pathological liar or a low-level criminal. They watched in horror as a black, unmarked military helicopter descended on our backyard to extract me, yet they still chose to believe I was being arrested for drug trafficking. They saw a pathetic girl who couldn't even parallel park, never realizing I was Dr. Nova Vance, the lead physicist behind the world's first successful fusion reactor. To secure funding for my research and gain a "fortress" of a name, I signed a thirty-day marriage contract with the arrogant billionaire Roman Knight. He treats me like a fraud, convinced I’m a gold-digger who failed out of college, while I quietly run global energy simulations from his guest bedroom. He has no idea that the "loser" he’s forced to live with is the same anonymous grandmaster who has been ruthlessly crushing him in online strategy games for months. "The contract is active," I told him, looking past his expensive suit. "But don't expect me to be your maid."

Rain hammered against the asphalt as my sedan spun violently into the guardrail on the I-95. Blood trickled down my temple, stinging my eyes, while the rhythmic slap of the windshield wipers mocked my panic. Trembling, I dialed my husband, Clive. His executive assistant answered instead, his voice professional and utterly cold. "Mr. Wilson says to stop the theatrics. He said, and I quote, 'Hang up. Tell her I don’t have time for her emotional blackmail tonight.'" The line went dead while I was still trapped in the wreckage. At the hospital, I watched the news footage of Clive wrapping his jacket around his "fragile" ex-girlfriend, Angelena, shielding her from the storm I was currently bleeding in. When I returned to our penthouse, I found a prenatal ultrasound in his suit pocket, dated the day he claimed to be on a business trip. Instead of an apology, Clive met me with a sneer. He told me I was nothing but an "expensive decoration" his father bought to make him look stable. He froze my bank accounts and cut off my cards, waiting for the hunger to drive me back to his feet. I stared at the man I had loved for four years, realizing he didn't just want a wife; he wanted a prop he could switch off. He thought he could starve me into submission while he played father to another woman's child. But Clive forgot one thing. Before I was his trophy wife, I was Starfall—the legendary voice actress who vanished at the height of her fame. "I'm not jealous, Clive. I'm done." I grabbed my old microphone and walked out. I’m not just leaving him; I’m taking the lead role in the biggest saga in Hollywood—the one Angelena is desperate for. This time, the "decoration" is going to burn his world down.
