Luna Wang was always warned by her grandmother to never wander around when it's a full moon. Out of curiosity, she once tried to sneak out to find what's happening when there's a full moon. There she saw a group of people turning into something she never imagined, a werewolf. Running for her life, she successfully managed to escape from the sight. The next morning, a transfer student was introduced into their class. And to her surprise, one of them was the guy from last night who she believed is a werewolf. She tried not to tell anyone about what she saw and kept it a secret, until one night, her grandmother was attacked by some unknown species. Luna blamed it on Hades Choi, the werewolf, claiming that it was them who attacked her grandmother. And that is where everything started, a love and hate story between Luna and Hades.
Chapter 1 The Moon's Secret
There's a tale that it's dangerous when the full moon is on the rise, monsters, werewolves, vampires could appear. However, this one may even be worse than others. A tale that when a woman is bitten by a succubus, she can actually become a succubus!
My grandmother always warned me to never wander around where there's a full moon because it's dangerous and I cannot protect myself from it. I am just a young girl who lives in Moonshore City, a province where we are very far from cities. It's not as if we're not updated to technologies. Moonshore is a place where you can enjoy a peaceful province with mountains, beautiful forests, lakes, and even some falls.
I am studying business because I want to help my grandmother with our little shop in this province. Everyone was fond of me because they think that I am such a positive and beautiful girl with long auburn hair and pale skin. I always thought that the world I lived in was a perfect place.
"Tonight's the full moon, Luna. Make sure you come home early, alright?" my grandmother, who raised me since I was a kid because my parents died when I was a very young age, told me as she prepares breakfast for the two of us.
"Yes, grandma..." I politely said as I helped her brew the coffee. "I am going to finish my project early at Michelle's house. But I promise to come home as early as possible." I tried to assure and I gave her a sweet smile.
"Glad to hear that, Luna. I want you to always remember my reminder to you." She looks at me, making sure that I understand what she's trying to say.
"To never wander around when the full moon is on the rise," I repeated the words she always tells me.
She smiled warmly before giving me a pat on the head "Always be careful, Luna. You don't know what this world could do to you."
I pursed my lips and felt like my grandmother is becoming way too dramatic again. But I love her so much so I listened to every reminder she tells me.
We ate breakfast together before I prepare my things for school. I have classes today and after class, I will do my projects at Michelle's house because she has the best internet connection here in this village.
I love my grandma dearly so I don't like to let her down.
So I packed up my things and left her house heading for school.
"Do you want to go to the party that Ella will have tonight?" Michelle asked me as we are on our way to her house. The classes ended early today. Thankfully because I still have a lot of things to finish today, I don't want my grandma to be worried if I didn't come home early.
"You know that my grandmother wouldn't allow me to stay out all night," I explained, reminding her how my grandmother always tells me to be careful when the full moon is on the rise.
"Oh yeah, as if there's some vampires or werewolves who will eat you on your way home." She said jokingly and I couldn't but laugh as well.
We started doing our project. She is really a genius. I am really surprised that she is as good as she is. She makes it look so easy.
We ended up staying longer than expected. We're just having fun, laughing about everything. We're just making fun of everything. It's nonsense what we talk about but things got serious when we got vocal about my problems.
"I thought my dad is the only one who's gone, what about your parents Michelle?" I asked her as we were putting away our stuff.
"I never had a mom...I have a dad but he is also gone. I only have my grandma now." She smiled sadly as she talked about her father.
I smiled as I gave her a pat on the shoulder. "Don't worry, maybe he'll be back soon. He will definitely find you."
"I really hope so." She said through her voice.
Then we did our project and it started getting dark. I rushed and did my things and quickly and went back to my grandmother's house. I have to walk to some forest, a shortcut to our house because I don't want my grandmother to feel worried more.
Michelle went to the party that they are talking about and I am rushing home. I arrived at the forest and I remembered what my grandmother told me to be careful about. But I don't think it could be any other danger aside from other animals. "Just don't let other animals eat you," I told myself.
I started walking and it seems that I am not going to reach my grandmother's house soon. It's already getting dark but I should still make it home before midnight.
I kept walking and walking. I was afraid because I think I am lost somewhere in a forest. I was led easily to a place through a river.
I decided to walk in the river. Maybe I can find a way that leads to a way, a road that leads to the opposite side of the river. I stood on the river to make sure that I would not fall because the tide changes if I don't notice it.
As I was walking along I saw a man, he has black longish hair and he was very pale. Did I think maybe that's a vampire? I'm really not sure because I really don't know that much about vampires. I'm just not sure because he looks like a werewolf.
Do they even exist? I thought that all of it was just made by our ancestors to scare people away.
I felt terrified because I was lost in a forest and there are monsters everywhere.
Then he looked at me, well at least I think he did because he approached me and I was really scared and I started to run. I ran as fast as I can and I ran and ran and ran.
He saw me!
I think I managed to run pretty fast and run for a long time.
I came to a place where there were some houses and I hid there. I hid behind one of the houses because I wanted to watch and see what the man was doing.
He's a human slowly turning into some werewolves.
Is this what my grandmother warns me about the full moon?
