Avril Nate walks into the office

"Good morning sir" Avril greeted

"Good morning ,I guess you're the one who applied for a job here, just show me your CV" daryn- the manager says

After he checks all her documents;

"Well it's a good one, I've already seen what I need,you can go and start working as from tomorrow"

"Alright, thank you sir"

Avril walks out of the building and she raises her hand

"Avril sapphire Nate, you've gotten yourself a job, time to celebrate" she smiles

*Door opens*

"Hey Fiona I'm home" avril said

Fiona runs from the kitchen

"Please tell me you got the job, I've been preparing lots of your favorite food to celebrate" Fiona said excitedly

Avril puts on a sad face

"I..I.di..." Fiona cuts her off

"Please don't tell me you didn't get the job" Fiona said worriedly

"I got the job fiona" avril says

The duo squeaks in delight at this news

"We've got to celebrate" Fiona said

"Yeah we do" avril agreed

"I'll go get your lunch, I've prepared your favorite" Fiona said

Fiona is about to go, avril stops her and holds her hand

"Thanks for being a true friend Fiona" avril said

"Of course we're besties forever, now don't start getting emotional" Fiona replied as she goes over to the kitchen

Avril says in thought "I'm the luckiest girl in the world for getting a friend like you"

Avril gets up early the next morning and gets ready for work,she wears a black pencil skirt and a white longsleeve.. she wakes Fiona who was still sleeping in her room

"I'm off to work fiona" Avril said

"Already?" Fiona said lazily as she stretches on the bed

"Yeah don't forget it's my first day and i have to make an impression" avril said

"No wonder you're all dressed up, have you eaten?" Fiona asked

"Yeah i made breakfast, I've left some for you"avril said

"Aww you're the best,thank you" Fiona replied

"You're welcome, okay bye" avril said as she leaves her room

"I love you babe, good luck!" She yells after avril

Avril hears her yelling and she smiles

Avril gets to work and she goes straight to the Managers office to find it still locked, she then goes to the secretary

"Excuse me miss, I'm avril I just started work here" avril said

"Oh you must be the new girl, I'm teccie" teccie replied

"Nice to meet you teccie, I just went to the Manager's office and i found that he's not in" avril said

"Oh he's not here yet,he normally comes sometimes with our CEO" teccie said

"Oh there's a CEO here" said avril

"Yes but he's so detached, he doesn't like interacting with anyone apart from his best friend which is the manager" said teccie

"Oh ok" avril said

They soon hear some heavy footsteps at the entrance and the office workers standing up to greet them

"That must be them, let's go see" said teccie

They both go closer to the noise to see the manager and the CEO strolling as the female and male workers gosh over them

"Oh my gosh! They are both so handsome"

"No the CEO is way gorgeous,gosh he's so charming"

These were the talks of the workers

"Well these are the talks of everyone everyday" explained teccie

"Is the CEO really that handsome,I can't see his face properly from here" said avril

As avril was about to see the CEO's face well, she drops something so she bends to pick it, he passes right pass her. She gets up to see him, she could see that he was indeed a domineering person with a huge body figure but she couldn't see his face

"Well I hope you've seen him now, come let's go see the manager so that he can direct you to your working department, I hope he puts us close together" teccie said as she was really interested in befriending avril

"Ok"avril replied as she smiled at her

They both walk to the Managers office

"Good morning sir" they both greeted

"Good morning! Oh avril you're here early besides you look gorgeous and decently dressed" daryn complimented

"Thank you sir, you don't look bad yourself" avril replied

"Well thank you, I'll direct you to your office, teccie take avril to the department next to you" daryn said

Teccie smiles"Okay thank you sir"

The office is an open plan office, designed in a face-to-face collaboration between employees, with all the employees desked in one same room

Teccie takes avril to her side which was close to the entrance next after the secretary's desk...

5pm.

"Shit! I'm so stressed,so many paper work, it's just my first day of work, I'll have to get used to this" said avril

The telephone rings and she picks it after a few seconds, she drops it and goes to the Manager's office

"Sir you called"said avril

"Oh yes take this, just quickly finish this" daryn handed her some files

"Ok sir"avril said

"Oof! It seems i won't be leaving anytime soon" she says in thoughts

Everyone leaves the office but only avril was left behind and a few other handyman

The CEO walks out with his manger. They pass through the open office and they both see avril

"Woah she stayed behind to finish the work" daryn said

"Who's that?"Ryan asked

"She's a new employee" daryn answered

"I guessed so because i've never seen her face" Ryan replied

"As if you can even recognize half of your employees" daryn said as a Matter of fact

"Well that's true" Ryan replied

Ryan takes one last glimpse at avril and he walks away

Avril was unaware of their presence and she continues doing her work dutifully

"Uh I'm finally done,time to go home" avril said as she stretches her arm

At 8pm

Avril enters the house lazily

"Gosh I'm so tired"

"Where's Fiona? Well I guess she has gone to her night shift"

"I'm tired,let me check if she made dinner"

"Oh she did and it smells yummy, fiona is just the best,let me go shower first"

She goes to her room, pulls off her clothes and enters the bathroom

She turns on the shower as it pours down from her black hair to her body

She thinks as she washes her hair

"I wonder who the boss is, it was a bummer that I didn't get to see his face, they say he's very charming, well I don't care, I'll just continue my work" avril said as she shrugs it of
