Tamara turns around and wraps her hands around his neck. "I'm not submissive like others; that's why if you think I will vow, because you are the strongest alpha. Well, think again because I won't!" she sneered and rubbed her finger on his lips. "Little girl, be careful with the game you want to play... It can burn you alive—" Alpha Jonas chuckled as he pulled Tamara closer. Tamara and Jonas were fated with each other, yet they couldn't be together because their parents decided to get married. How can they fight the bond, pulling them closer? Will they choose to let go, or will they give in?

Chapter 1 Broken And Rejected

Tamara POV.

I'm Tamara Morningstar; my parents are the mighty Alpha Franco Morningstar and the common she-wolf, Lolita.

The day I am writing this is one of the most significant in my entire life. So, I'm walking with a combination of urgency and anticipation.

"What intrigues me is who exactly is responsible for the ubiquitous aroma. If I'm lucky, my companion will be a good person." I make a sound as I try to track down my friend by his scent.

Because I am already the strongest in our pack, I am not looking for a strong mate; instead, I seek a loving and caring one.

When I finally got there, I could pinpoint the origin of the enticing aroma and follow it to the park.

"David Halter here. Thank you, Moon Goddess, for the kind and caring partner you've given me. "As I cast my gaze upon David, I mumbled something to myself.

He was right in the middle of everybody. As a result, I was wary of approaching him, but I mustered the courage to initiate a conversation.

"David..." As I stopped in his rear, I yelled.

"Shit!" David swore as he whirled around to look at me. His expression of exasperation as he looked at me was unmistakable.

What's the matter is, I'm your mate," I said softly, too ashamed to speak loudly in front of the pack.

The pack as a whole laughed at my proclamation.

When I look at David, however, I see nothing but disgust and shame, and I have to wonder what on earth he is thinking.

The strongest member of the pack is David's partner.

"Good news, right here, right now, ha ha ha! Whenever there's trouble, or we need to go hunting, we'll take David's mate because he isn't powerful."

"Follow me!" David says something and walks away from the others.

While trailing behind him, I offer my services as a hunter.

Saying to Tamara Morningstar, "David Halter, I have rejected you as my mate!" There was a roar from David.

I was taken aback by the negative response and didn't immediately reply.

Staring blankly at David's angry face, I could do nothing but stare.

If you're kidding, I said, "it's not funny." I still wasn't convinced.

"

This is not a joke. The pack is laughing at me; can't you see that? The truth is that you wouldn't make a good partner. I'm looking for someone soft and sweet to marry, not someone stronger than me." "David yelled!"

"So you don't like me because I'm too powerful for you? Is that what you mean?" I had to wait a moment, but eventually, I was able to ask.

Despite internal anguish, I hardened and composed myself.

A friend, but not a lover; please accept my rejection—a categorical assertion by David.

"Not knowing there would be a problem with having a lot of power, I did nothing with it. When I found out you were my partner, I was overjoyed because I thought we were just friends." I said as I wiped away the tears from my eyes.

"There is indeed a difficulty. You're causing friction in our pack because you're the strongest member by a long shot, "David said.

"Okay, then...

After David Halter turned down Tamara Morningstar as his mate, I accepted his decision. "With my fists balled, I met his gaze. There was no sign of weakness on my part, so I held my head high.

Also, David didn't seem to appreciate my determination. "Why can't you see this? The pack's males had nothing but contempt for you. You won't find a suitable partner in this world." David shouted something that should have everyone looking around.

"Enough! No thanks, having a useless friend like you is embarrassing enough as it is." As I turn and leave, I give him a hard stare.

If I'm pathetic, I'm not worth your time. "David yelled!"

"That's exactly right! There isn't a single person here who deserves me. Having strength is something I will never be embarrassed about. Simply put, that is me to a tee! And I don't think your weakness is my fault. This lone wolf in the pack sure is weak!" To be more precise, I am shouting.

My anger had erupted, and I didn't care if the pack heard me. Witnessing David's shock and subsequent retreat. This is the first time he's seen me get really angry in front of him. Impact To be honest, I've never felt so angry before.

Be careful with your words, Tamara. When the Alpha finally made it to us, he began to cry out in a very loud voice "If your prospective partner turns you down, it's not the end of the world. Just because one pack doesn't accept you doesn't mean you have to grow to hate them all "Keeping talking, he went on to say something else.

"For me personally, this is not the end of the world. Truth be told, I'm happy that a weakling mate was the one who first turned me down. Neither he nor this group is due to me." I proclaimed, my attention focused on the others.

"You!"

"That's right, I am. I won't be a sheep, Tamara Morningstar. Starting today, I will have zero ties to any of you!" In a cocky manner, I proclaimed, holding my head high.

I eagerly awaited word from our team's Alpha. My back was to them, so I made a hasty exit.

I could make out the mutterings of the previous visitors, but I didn't linger.

.....

"You've messed up big time, Tamara. You seem to have reignited your anger. How are you going to tell your mother that you've turned rogue?" As I walked back home, I murmured.

Although David's rejection was heartbreaking, it wasn't what I was concerned about... I knew my mom was upset with me for making this choice.

While I fully expected my mother, Lolita, to explode in anger, the opposite happened.

"You picked the best option. Please don't associate yourself with such a helpless creature. To a lesser extent, you did the right thing by breaking away from the herd."

To my mother I said, "Thank you, mom, and I'm sorry if I didn't consult you on my decision," before giving her a bear hug.

"Accumulate your possessions. As soon as we can, we're leaving this place."

The question "Where are we going?" I asked as I pulled away from my mom.

She announces, "Let's go to the Phantom pack, where I have a friend."

Incredulous, I turn to my mother. When it comes to packs, Phantom City has the most decisive leader on the whole continent. I don't buy that their Alpha is young and good-looking, as they claim.

I'm the strongest in the house!" This is what I finally yelled.
