LUNAR LOVE: A Forbidden Romance

When Dave got here, not knowing who we were after we saved great alpha Cloud's mate and brought him here as well as Dave, Dave was clueless about our kind a-the werewolves had been kind to him because they know humans can be kind as well, but can't be trusted. But the werewolves knew Kieran, Cloud's mate, was once a wolf who broke the forbidden law and turned himself into a human, his werewolf part Was separated from him (but later got it back eventually after the war)And of course, the werewolves were more accommodating because Kieran is Dave's brother. Well, stepbrother. But I'm not blaming Dave, Kieran, Perry, cloud, or anyone. When I told Cloud about my mate just about an hour ago he understood me, he understood that I needed my mate. While he is against the idea of me going into the human world, making myself with a different personality, he's not against me having a human mate, it wasn't by choice anyways.

Good Goddess knows what I would do if they think or decide to harm her anyway -they would ask the Great alpha Cloud to force me to quit ties and reject my mate or worse, ask the alpha to kill her. 'There are several ways to protect her' my best friend says to me, looking at me with concern in his eyes. Sometimes I wonder how I've been best friends with him for so long since we were children. 'You know that I'm going to help you right? But this isn't right. What you're going to do faking documents..... It's all wrong. You're guarding the werewolves, you know that you have a role here in our world, but leaving us.....''You know I'm not exactly leaving right?' I cut him off, staring right back into his eyes. He sighs, shaking his head. "I know I'm putting everyone in danger by doing this, it's the only way I can be near my mate. I'm not going to abandon my duty as the guardian of the werewolves. It's what has been assigned to me by the good Goddess. Being a guardian of the werewolves, it's.....it's flattering and amazing.... But If I can't have my mate, I feel like it's nothing, that I'm nothing. "I've been filling Dave and Ruby (Dave's Wolf) up about being the guardian of the werewolves. Well, Ruby understands better being a guardian itself. But Dave knows the traditional ways .I told him everything he needed to know Cloud, I'm dying here, or I feel like it's killing me to be apart from my mate, you know that feeling...everyone does.

Of Course, he does. He knows that well. Before cloud was against the idea of gays -he was very sensitive about that topic. After knowing that his mate is a guy, he couldn't take it. He was mortified, ashamed, and couldn't believe it. After it dawned on him that Kieran-he was treated badly by us (and I'm ashamed of it) he was labeled by us a "nobody ", the weakest of our pack, a member of our pack who we loathed so much, he rejected him. That was the main reason Kieran ran and broke the forbidden law, he became human and his wolf was sent away. With time it dawned on Cloud the mistake he had made, Longed and pinned for his mate, wishing he would come back. He cried himself to sleep every night, wishing he had not rejected his mate for being a male wolf.

The alpha made our search for his mate. Because his mate not being with him made him weak and the pack grew weaker and weaker. A weak alpha makes a weak pack.

"I do'" he says, the pain evident in his eyes and voice. "It hurts not to be around your mate let alone your mate not knowing who you are. I'm saying this because I think there are other ways to settle this.

I could talk to the whole pack now and disregard the whole rule of forbidding a werewolf and human mate. Good Goddess has a reason for assigning you a human mate. All I'm saying is give me more time and I will find a different solution so you can be with your mate.

The thought of a cloud telling everyone about my human mate mortifies me. I love my kind, but I can't afford to risk my mate's life. It will be chaos once my little secret spills out. I don't want my mate to get harmed. Hell, I'm going to risk my life to protect her.

"No, don't do that." I know that you want what's best for me, but I cannot wait any longer. If you were in my position you would do it immediately. But I waited.... Like, what? Five months, six months? I don't even know. And I can't wait any longer.

"I can't stop you, can I?" He asks me, a small smile playing on his lips and I shake my head.

I just want to bask myself with the attention of my mate but that won't happen soon. My mate is yet to know me and that will happen soon when I start attending Hallmark high school." "I'll do that after you leave, which I assume will be tomorrow?" I, not smiling sadly. I never wanted this, to leave my friends, my pack, but my mate needs me more. I need my mate. Cloud, Kieran, Perry, Dave can protect the pack." Good luck ".Smiling, I hugged him brotherly. Since we were children we have been treating ourselves as brothers-they are my brother from another mother-Perry and cloud. Cloud throws me a smirk @when you get back here, you better bring your mate along and be mated happily in love with each other. While you are gone, I will make sure to remove the werewolf having a human mate on the forbidden list. So we can all be happy".

"Looking forward to that", I do. There's a knock on the door and a cloud yells at the top of his voice telling whoever to come in after getting used to his scent, I knew it was Kieran. The door of the cloud office opened wide revealing a flushed Kieran. His hair is sticking up in every direction -after being a Luna, he spends a lot of time with the kids, and that always got him tired. Cloud meets him halfway wrapping him in his arm, and smothering him with kisses all over his face. I wish I had that. I wish Rebecca, my mate's name could do so soon. "Hello Nathan". He chirps, all smiles. I tip my imaginary hat and he chuckles. Well.....I Have told the kids that you may or may not want to play along with us..... Kieran let his sentence fade, grinning. Cloud knows that his mate likes children so without hesitation, he'll go there and play with them.

But then Cloud it's a hard-headed jerk, he wants to always conceal his soft side. Cloud groans while Kieran rolls his eyes." Okay if you don't want to". ''No", cloud whines like a little kid stressing the o and hugging Kieran not wanting him to go. Kieran sees me and winks in my direction. They are both head over heels for each other. Suppressing a laugh, I say whipped and receive a glare from my best friend, who gives me the bird. "I shall go, though. I don't want to be scared but this cheesiness is going on in front of me. Tonight, I will have fun, tomorrow, I'll leave. This is it, there's no turning back now. I'm excited at the thought of meeting my mate at Hallmark high school-it makes me giddy knowing that we'll get to know each other. After meeting her several months ago, I've been waiting to meet him, to get to know him better. I have only watched him from a distance, but hey I'm in love with this girl after knowing she is my mate. She triggered something inside me and I want nothing more than to claim her as mine.
