Fiona and Kylie, both born as heiresses to the prestigious Grande family, lead starkly contrasting lives. While one revels in luxury and privilege, the other is shunned and forced to endure a life of hardship. The Grande family has arranged a marriage alliance with the esteemed Hermes family. Baldric Hermes, the heir of the Hermes dynasty, is set to wed the esteemed Kylie Grande. However, due to Kylie's scandalous past, Fiona is coerced into taking her sister's place, sharing a bed with Baldric to secure their entry into the Hermes family. Fiona becomes a mere shadow of Kylie, not only losing her innocence but also bearing the burden of her sister's tainted reputation. Yet, Baldric's heart longs for the gentle and pure girl he met on that fateful night.
The weather in City A during December is bitterly cold. A heavy snowfall blankets the entire city, making the nights even harder and more lonely. However, inside the VIP room of a seven-star hotel, the atmosphere is scorching hot.
"Pain..." The girl's soft, pitiful voice evokes sympathy, her body arching with sweat glistening on her forehead.
"Be good, endure a little longer, and the pain will be over, alright?" The seductive lips of the man pressed against her ear, warm breath, and alluring words gradually eased the tension in her body.
"Don't be afraid..."
Biting her lip, the girl's face turns pale, tears welling in her eyes. She slowly releases her tightly clenched hand.
"Kylie..."
The man, noticing her relaxation, gently calls out her name.
A long, wine-tasting kiss trails from her neck downwards.
The girl slowly raised her gaze, leaning on the faint light at the head of the bed, looking into the man's eyes.
"Don't be afraid, with me here, don't be afraid, okay?" The man smiles, his deep, captivating eyes full of sincerity as he gazes at her.
The girl looks at him dreamily, and gradually, her eyes assume a seductive, intoxicating allure, only to be lost in the man's kiss...
Outside, the snow intensifies while their night has just begun.
Three-thirty in the morning.
The girl's phone lights up, displaying 198, with only an empty message.
She quickly sits up, dresses lightly, and steps down from the bed.
She turns back to look at the man sleeping on the large bed.
His perfectly handsome face under the dim light remains as beautiful as ever, even in slumber, akin to an exquisite painting.
Biting her lip, she takes a deep breath and doesn't linger any longer.
She turns around, resolutely leaving the room and opening the door.
"Is it done?" A girl is wearing a cap and sunglasses standing outside the door, and she had been discreetly waiting to one side, cautiously asking.
"Yes."
"Really?" The girl with sunglasses smiles, immediately straightening up.
"Yes, he's asleep."
"Okay, you can go now!" The girl prepares to enter.
However, the girl at the door remains standing without moving. "Where's the money?"
Upon hearing this, the girl with sunglasses furrows her brow and removes her cap and sunglasses.
She looks exactly like the girl standing at the door.
But there's a difference. The girl standing at the door exudes an air of intelligence and superiority, far surpassing the other.
"You think you can deceive me, huh? As for the money, you come to my father's place and take it. Hurry up and leave. Stay away! If you ruin my good fortune, you'll surely be dead!" The fierce girl spoke angrily to her.
"Fine!" Upon hearing that, she stepped aside.
"Take these with you!" The girl handed her sunglasses and cap, hastily entering the closed room.
She smiled, a smile filled with bitterness. But she had no trace of nostalgia. Putting on the cap and sunglasses, she straightened her back and left.
She looked at the snowy sky in the taxi and dialed a number on her phone.
"Doctor, please don't stop my mother's medication. I'll transfer the money immediately, that's right, I guarantee it!" After ensuring the hospital wouldn't stop the medication, she hung up.
Her name is Fiona Grande; she is twenty years old this year.
The girl from earlier is Kylie Grande, also twenty years old.
They are fraternal twins.
Kylie Grande was born ten seconds earlier, making her the older sister.
However, when they were two years old, their parents divorced. Her mother raised Fiona while Kylie followed her father.
Since then, the two have never appeared together.
The taxi quickly brought her to the affluent area of City A.
The villas here are worth tens of billions, and security is tight.
She made a phone call, and the taxi entered smoothly.
"Driver, please wait for me a moment. I'll be back soon."
It's difficult to catch a ride here, so she had to hurry back to the hospital after collecting the money.
"Alright!"
She quickly exited the car and rang the mansion's doorbell.
A housekeeper arrived promptly to open the door for her.
"Miss, you're back..." The housekeeper's smiling face froze upon seeing her attire. "Looking for the master?"
"Yes."
"Please wait a moment, and I'll inform the master." The housekeeper's expression turned slightly cold.
"I've already called him."
The housekeeper furrowed their brow with a slightly blue tone. "Just go in!"
She entered quickly. This spacious mansion is adorned with many European-style furnishings, exuding an air of luxury at first glance.
Mr. Bevis sat on the sofa, reading the newspaper. When he saw her, he casually put down the paper.
"Is it done?" The woman sitting next to Bevis Grande hurriedly asked.
"Yes, she's in the room."
"Nobody noticed, right?"
"No, nobody did!"
"Excellent!" The woman, stunningly beautiful with meticulous makeup and flawless skin, spoke. Bevis Grande put down the newspaper and smiled, "Hermes will marry our Kylie!"
"That's right, once Kylie marries the Hermes family, the Grande family will elevate its status. Our children will have better development paths in the future!"
"Exactly!" Bevis Grande laughed. "The Hermes family, we were compelled to do this!"
"Have you prepared my money?" She interrupted them.
This was the reason for Bevis Grande's divorce. When her mother was still in confinement, he had an affair and fathered a son with another woman. Since then, Kylie Grande has lived with this woman, whom she now considers her biological mother. Her treatment of her birth mother was worse than how she treated a beggar on the street.
Bevis Grande frowned, observing how Fiona Grande resembled Kylie so much. "Look at yourself, and you're truly destitute!"
Fiona Grande clenched her hands tightly, standing upright. "Don't get angry. How can you compare that woman with Kylie? Those villagers are indeed inferior!"
"Villagers?" She murmured those two words softly, a mocking smile forming. "Who begged the villagers for help yesterday?"
Her grip on her hands slowly loosened. She knew there was no need to get angry at people like them.
"How did your mother teach you? How dare you argue with adults? Do you even consider me your father?" Bevis Grande suddenly widened his eyes and raised his hand before her.
Father? Ah! Has he ever fulfilled the responsibilities of a father?
"What's with that look in your eyes?" Bevis Grande stood up and waved his hand in front of her face.
"If you want to hit me, go ahead. After all, you've never regarded me as your daughter!" She stared at him, her gaze as if looking at a stranger.
Bevis Grande felt uneasy under her piercing gaze. He found himself in an awkward situation where he couldn't hit her but couldn't just let it go.
"Enough, take it!" Mrs. Mirabel handed a check into her pocket. "Go quickly, hurry!"
Kylie Grande glanced at the check, six hundred million. This so-called father had never given her a single penny from childhood to adulthood. Today, he gave her six hundred million because he wanted her to replace her sister, who had long lost her virginity. That pride of hers was truly worth it!
Fiona Grande smiled, but this smile was icy to the core. She put the check in her pocket and turned away.
"Stop!" Bevis Grande suddenly spoke up.
She hesitated but didn't turn back.
"Take that money and go back to the countryside. Never appear in City A again!" Bevis Grande's voice was as cold as ice.
Mrs. Mirabel was surprised and immediately echoed, "That's right, never appear on the land of City A again. Having Kylie alone is enough!"
Fiona Grande held the bag tightly in her hand.
Were they afraid? Afraid that she would ruin their plans?
Indeed, they were exemplary fathers and stepmothers for the whole country.
