Mr. Xander's Vengeful Mistress

A pair of eyes sprang open and was instantly humbled by the bright atmosphere. Katerina stood up from the hospital bed and proceeded towards the door. She couldn't believe that she survived such a horrible car accident which still seemed like a dream to her. Right now, the only person she was yearning to see is her newly wedded husband, Darius Schumacher." Who was nowhere to be seen inside the room? Katerina was a bit disappointed. She wondered how long she had spent in the hospital to make her recover, she regretted making Darius suffer. They were supposed to be on their honeymoon enjoying their marriage if not for the accident. She tried to sit upright which made her realize that her head was being wrapped in a bandage and she went to check. She could only use the window louvers to see her reflection. Katerina touched her nose and lips which were the only visible parts of her face. They seemed different. Her lips looked thinner and her nose was more pointy. Realization dawned on her concerning the changes in her looks. rushed towards the door, banging it hard. It seemed to be locked from the outside. "Help me." She yelled. A doctor and two nurses surged into the room to meet her.

"What happened, ma'am?." The doctor asked and he had the nurses assist her to the bed.

"Help me, my face." She cried out. suddenly and stared at them sternly. "What have you done to my face?." She resumed the heavy downpour of tears.

"Ma'am, I can explain. You had an accident and were badly injured so we had to fix your face."

"There are other ways to fix my face than totally Changing it," Katerina Screamed. She began to struggle with the doctor, attempting to run out of the ward and they instantly had her sedated. Katerina fell asleep instantly after the injection was given to her.

A man dressed in a black suit walked briskly towards a huge black door that had a tag fixed on it 'CEO's Office.'

Gray entered the office after being called in by Xander Hills, his boss and the president of 'Scott Technology Company' One of the largest technology companies in the city

Xander Scott, a very good-looking rich CEO who was every woman's dream, was still single, after the cruel death of his lover. Xander vowed never to marry any other woman after Erica's death. Gets a threat from his grandfather concerning his bachelor being.

"You have a message from Oldie Scott," Gray informed him. As Xander expected, it was another message from his grandfather to come home. They had arranged a wife for him and wanted him to meet her.

"Send him a message, I'm not marrying any woman or coming home anytime soon and he should lower his expectations of me," Xander stated. Xander was a man of few words, but at that moment, he had spoken too much out of frustration. Without attempting to provoke him. any further, Gray instantly took out his mobile phone to text the message to oldie Scott as they've nicknamed him. His eyes widened after seeing the caller's Identity appear on his phone screen.

"Mr. Hector Scott is on the line," Gray said, his voice trembling softly as he made that announcement. Hector Scott was Xander's father and sworn enemy, Xander was never on good terms with his dad since he was a kid. Hector had his mother sent away and accused her of infidelity. She later had an accident that made her lose her health mentally and she was sent to an asylum. Xander blamed his father for everything and they became enemies since then. Xander was also diagnosed with bipolar since he was a teenager when his mother was put in a mental asylum and he wasn't given the chance to grow up with her.

'What the fuck does he want?' Xander grumbled inwardly in anger. His expression had already told Gray what to do and he ended the call.

"Blacklist the number and any other that relates to 'The Scott' family." He instructed briefly and Gray was quick to respond to his quest.

"Concerning the woman, Her face reveals will be done tonight." Gray reminded Xander whose attention was fixed on his laptop screen.

Gray didn't think that Xander heard him, and as he attempted to repeat his words, Xander spoke.

"Get the car ready to go to the hospital," Xander ordered.

After about thirty minutes, both men were in Xander's Lamborghini and on their way to the hospital. Throughout the ride, Xander stared at Erica's picture.

Kate had woken up that evening, weak and hungry. She wondered how long she had been unconscious till she woke up that day. Who changed her face? And what were their motives? She became confused and almost broke down. Her husband, who she had just gotten married to, wasn't given the privilege to enjoy marital pleasures before the unfortunate incident.

About thirty minutes later, the door opened and the doctor from earlier came inside, accompanied by two strange men. One who maintained an expressionless look although his bad mood could be detected and a shocking glare could be seen in his eyes through his transparent glasses. The other seems like an escort or a bodyguard, sort of.

Katerina adjusted herself on the bed.

"Who are you, people? Don't come any closer or I'll destroy you." She threatened. Katerina had forgotten the position she was in. She wasn't in a position to threaten anyone especially when she doesn't have her wealth or even her real face, to begin with.

"Don't worry madam, we are only going to examine your face." The doctor pleaded, politely and Katerina found herself letting him unwrap her face. She was also curious to know who she looked like, even when she didn't accept it. Katerina swore to make them pay for what they'd done to her.

There was a loud gasp from Gray as Katerina's face was unwrapped. "S- She looks exactly like her." He stuttered.

Afterward, Katerina was given a mirror to look at her face which she didn't react calmly to.

"I will sue all of you for this, do you know who I am?." "How dare you fucking did this to me?." Katerina yelled at them. When she saw Xander come closer, she threw the mirror at him. Xander saw her rush to pick up a piece of shattered glass and she pointed it at him.

"Don't come near me or I'll kill you." She threatened. Xander cared less and he continued his move towards her.

Katerina quickly thought about what to do. Since she was given this woman's face, she must've been an important person to the strange men and they had made so much effort to make her look exactly like the woman. Katerina placed the glass on her cheek and Gray panicked. She shouldn't hurt her face!

"If you come near me, I will cut my face and ruin your hard work." Katerina threatened harshly. Xander came to a halt instantly and he stared at her coldly. Katerina could detect his fear. Xander was frightened that she might hurt the face of his woman.

"Don't do it, please." Gray pleaded, knowing fully well how Xander might react if she did it. He might not spare her too. Seeing that they were unwilling, Katerina moved the glass on her face and blood started to drop. Xander was infuriated and he instantly went upon her and grabbed her neck, making her fall on the bed backward.

"How dare you?." He cursed out, strangling her neck tightly. "You have no rights, no rights at all to touch this face," Xander warned. Katerina lost her breath as he choked her with his strength. She thought she was going to die, it would be better if she died than let this evil man force her to become somebody else. Gray instantly tried to separate Xander from Katerina who he had almost killed. "Mr. Hills." He called out to him, taking him out of the room. Shortly after they reached outside, Xander began to destroy everything he could lay his hands on. The janitor who noticed the sight while doing his job ran off and it didn't take long for Xander to approach and break the mopping stick, followed by the bucket of soapy water. Gray tried to calm him down and he was able to, they both went to the car outside. After a while, Gray went back into the hospital to speak with Katerina and explain things to her.
