Mrs.Chain, afflicted with sickness, had to send her son on a quest to find a witch. Giving him a map, he navigated through the woods and bought back the witch. Charley journeyed 3 days and nights before he found them and when he did, he became enslaved to the seven pups. How will he save his dying mother? How will he gain his freedom? And when does, How will he capture them to save his dying mother?
Different shades of painful groans could be vividly heard in the woods.
"You thief! Give me what you owe me," he let those words fall from his lips with his mouth agape.
Hitting his ears like a sharp arrow, "I am no thief buddy..." he laughed out indistinctly, "No hard feelings," he spoke those words happily even with his body all wounded.
"Please... let him go.. don't kill him," those were the only words she could let out of her lips because she was held down by some soldiers.
Meeting his ears, he got agitated by those words, "Stop the shout! You are a wife to a bloody thief. You are lucky I am generous enough not to decide to have your head," he fired at her.
'Ahh!' he let out a heavy growl and immediately pushed down those people who held him captive.
"Do you think these fools are enough to hold me down?" Mr. Chain is determined to have all their head in a charger.
That word of his made him feel insulted, "Don't call my soldiers fools again. You bloody monster," he hit him with those words like a sword.
"Kill him," was the last word he said and he immediately turned his back. He didn't want the bloody massacre to happen while he was watching.
"No...!" His wife let out a heavy cry. It is a painful groan and each tear that drops down her cheek is a result of a painful heart.
Their son was watching everything that was happening. He could do nothing to save his father, all he did was to tuck his head in his sleeves and cry his eyes out hoping his father would get out of the situation.
'Humm...!' was his father's final growl. It was pathetic and at the same time emotionally draining when a claw thrived through his heart.
He fell on his face immediately and the claws were removed.
In desperation, his wife tried to let herself loose from the hands of the bloody soldiers that held her down.
The soldiers released her since her husband was lying in his pool of blood.
On release, she leapt with great speed and fell on her knees immediately after she reached her husband.
She laid her hand on his body with a look at his face. At this moment, her cry stopped and the only thing she could do was wail in her heart.
Her eyes were damn red and her body kept vibrating heavily.
"Cry all you can, woman... I don't bloody care," he made sure those words were harsh and hurtful. Then, he spat on the ground.
Raising her head she said, "I thought it was merely a business, but this is what I don't understand," her voice hardly penetrated the air.
Gazing at her for a while, he didn't comment. "Let's go," Finally! He uttered that statement, fixing his gaze on his soldiers.
Some of the soldiers nodded their heads and they all walked out of the place.
Immediately they are gone, and her husband coughs out.
Hearing the cough of her husband, she stared at his face with joy.
"My ever-loving wife. Call me our son," he forced those words out of his lips because he knew he was going to die.
"Charley!" His wife screamed aloud.
Little Charley was shaking due to the tension of seeing his father getting killed right in front of him.
He walked to his mother.
"Come here son," the voice of his dying dad penetrated his ear and he was happy to hear his voice.
"Listen up son! As from now on, you own this family and you must take care of your mother no matter what," Charley's dad committed the affairs of the whole family to his hand.
He lit his face with a smile before giving up the ghost.
'Ah!' Charley's mother let out a heavy groan.
Charley couldn't control his tears, it just kept flowing like a river.
"Come here," she draws her son closer as they both let out their cries and embrace what just happened to them.
After so many minutes of her cry, she manned up. She walked into the house and picked up a spade. She dragged her husband into the woods and buried him there with her tears soaking the ground.
Her son was also there witnessing the burial.
That day quickly passed with the toss of the wind and not quite long, the morning came knocking.
Mrs.Chain is the mother of Charley. She is brave, tough and gentle. Immediately after her husband's demise, it becomes so difficult for her to forge ahead.
The morning brightness landed on her face. Mrs.Chain ought to wake up at that moment.
Yes! It did it, she woke up but was not ready to walk out of her room.
While she remained buried within the confines of her room, there was a slight push on her door.
It's Charley! Meet Charley the only son of the family of Mr. And Mrs.Chain.
Charley is intelligent, brave, calm and loyal.
"Mother..." he called with a calm voice.
His voice penetrated his mother's ears gently and all she could do was to stare at him.
"Aren't we going to eat.." little Charley was famished and he needed something at least to fill his stomach.
Damn! He just got on the bad side of his mother. It was as if a fierce beast had just been released. "Go out there and feed yourself, Charley," she said.
Even as a child it penetrated deep into his heart. He immediately remembered what his father said. Tears dropped down his cheek and he immediately ran out of his mother's room.
"Charley!" His mother called hoping he would answer because she knew her words were too harsh on that boy.
Little Charley didn't answer, he dashed into the woods ready to hunt for himself and his mother, 'mother... Do not worry about me. I will be back,' those were the words he left on his heart before entering into the woods.
"Ouuch...!" That was it, a growl of a fierce animal.
Little Charley heard that growl. He began to look around to see which animal owned it, 'Mother will be proud of me for bringing her a big animal,' all he wanted to do was to surprise his mother not knowing he was in for a big shock.
Getting to the midst of the forest, he heard the footsteps of the animal right behind him. Little Charley turned immediately and what he saw scared him to death.
